I used to love shopping at macys
I used to love shopping at macys. Conditions of the store is horrible. The stairs to go to second floor haven't worked since about two weeks. I went to return an item and there was only one representative assisting customer with a line of people who were also upset for the lack of assistance. Finally I returned the item. Giving them another chance went to try on a dress and the line was also with 10 customers ahead of me, only one dressing facility available. Horrible service. I am never able to use the discount coupons since almost everything is excluded. Macys: I gave you a chance. You lost a customer.
The service sucks
The service sucks. I bought the mattress and they failed the delivery on time. I took a day off to wait for the delivery and they notified me late on the delivery day that they could not locate the box spring. I asked to speak to the manager and Sandra , the lady on chat line told me that they would call me back . I gave them 24 hours but they did not call me. I called them the next day which is Sat and I was waiting more than an hour to talk to the manager. The sale representative kept telling me to wait on the line for too long and seemed to me like no manager dared to talk up me to resolve the problem. She kept passing the prob to the sale representative. I was so angry with the service. Finally the manager went on the phone and apologized me but did not resolve the problem. I canceled my order. The third party delivery company was awful
The third party delivery company that delivered my couch was awful. Two guys decided that it wouldn't fit in the elevator, and if they took it up the stairs, they would need a third person to help. So then we were supposed to wait another 4-5 days. So we told them to put it in the lobby and we would get it up. My husband and I got it into the elevator and into our apartment ourselves.

I placed an order for 5 watches as gifts for my baseball graduating seniors. It shipped in two separate shipments, one box, with "2" watches in it was empty when it was delivered. I called Macys customer service line, explained everything and was told no problem. i even suggested that it looked like the box was tampered with (different tape and was kind of beat up) still, no problem. They then decide 3 days later to deny the claim. I call back, was told again, no problem, we will put the claim through, then, again, denied. NO ONE speaks or understands English well enough to help, nor are they understanding the problem. Now I have to not only find 2 matching watches, I also have to spend my time trying to charge back through my credit card company. This was absolutely absurd for an experience.

Ordered 3 dressy dresses online. The first one reeked of perfume. Iâm allergic to most fragrances, and I nearly passed out when I tried it on. The second one was missing half of a hook-and-eye closure at the neck, with the 2â thread that secured it sticking out of the fabric. The third dress, missing the tag that lets you return the dress, has a 4â greasy stain on the back of the bodice.

I otherwise love the dress, so Iâm going to work on getting the stain out of this hand-wash-only dress. $100 for a stained dress!! Macyâs has gone downhill and is now charging $35% APR. I waited in hold for OVER 30 minutes yesterday to call customer service. They never picked up. I called back today and turns out there are no humans answering the phones. I cancelled my account through pushing buttons and listening to a robot. This has me remembering my last trip to shop at Macyâs. The sales lady was brazen and relentless about me opening a Macyâs account. I said that I didnât want one, but she wouldnât let it go. She kept bringing it up and trying to tell me that I had to do it. It really was awful. I will never go back, which sadly doesnât leave many shopping options. Macyâs, please make a nicer, kinder experience for your shoppers. Donât scare us away and treat us like $$ signs.
Cheap shabby quality and stores
I have tried being gracious because I used to love shopping Macy's. The quality of brands, condition of stores, and staffing have seriously gone downhill over the years. I get coupons as a cardholder and literally have NEVER had one work on any purchase. There are restrictions that cover apparently nearly everything. This makes me sad because it used to be a fine chain of stores and some of the ones still open are nice, but many are like a discount store. I'm afraid those days are long gone.
