I went to this place to have the taste of Mumbai Thali on 14th Feb at 6.45 pm. What I got was left over brunt rice after it was scrapped from the utensilnit was made in. When I showed this and addressed my disappointment to the waitress she immediately took the plate to cover the matter. They offered me 10% discount to cover. I paid in full.i have retained the bill. Pathetic as they treat guests like as if they are making a favor. Absolutely disappointed

They sell stale food.. Disgusting service disgusting manager so called santhosh and has a different name on card.. food was late and cold. Rice was smudgy and soggy as it was stale(2-3 days old), it was smelling but when asked to change the manager denied. When asked to make a complain he even got more rude. Not recommended at all..

Such a great food experience.. tasted authentic south Indian recipes after a long time..Vina was amazing..polite and professional.Loved it...,

As the staff are horrible and poor customer service and it’s too much crowded place as the restaurant owner does not look on customers as urs poor customer service and poor hospitality service which I will not recommend to any one as it’s too busy restaurant as less arrangements for customers to dine in as the waiting time is horrible on weekends as it’s not well organised from the management as it’s horrible customer service.

Pretty awful experience. When there with family for buffet breakfast and they insisted on charging full price for my 1 year old kid ! When I said to them he won’t even taste the food they said we are charging for the seat. Such a lame excuse. The staff at the counter was rude. Food was pretty average. Avoid.

My family and I decided to opt for this restaurant as it was pure vegetarian. We were greeted well and asked to sit at a particular table. It was a great start however, the service went downhill from there. We ordered and waited for the drinks which didn’t arrive so we had to remind them. Whenever we asked for anything, a couple of the waiters showed no expression. One of the main dishes were forgotten about and therefore arrived after everyone else.

Some of the dishes were good e.g the 3 different types of dosas, idli and a paneer dish with naan bread. The 3 starters we ordered were inconsistent. The Ghee Pongal was good and the paneer 65 was slightly below average. The Chilli Mogo was terrible. The very few pieces of mogo were the side of an AA battery and were way too hard. The fork would not go through them and the portion size was disappointingly very small. The 6/8 small mogo pieces were filled out with Onions and a small amount of lettuce covered a quarter of the serving dish so expensive for what we got. I complained about it and managed to get a refund.

We also got some badam halva. This portion was the biggest joke. The portion amounted to approx 2 heaped teaspoons of halva in a tiny tea plate and covered in a layer of ghee for £4.25!!!

Overall, the dosas and idlis were good, starters were hit and miss and the desert (other than the rasmalai) was memorable, but not in a good way!

The bottom line seemed to focus on profits rather than customer satisfaction. We have been going to Saravanaa Bhavan for the last 15 years and Madras Flavours fell short on many respects and could learn a lot from them, especially the lack of good service and the bottom mine, profits. Shame. We won’t be returning.

One off of the worst food in south east of England, everything from starters to main course was awful
North Indian cuisine and Indian Chinese were both tried, worst to say the least
Looks like chef doesn’t know how to cook Indian food

The food was so good and the service so helpful in choosing what to eat. Wished we lived closer as I would use Madras daily!

Yesterday we visited this place for buffet menu which is only 4.99£...and trust me it's worth it...Food was so so awesome and the staff is also very friendly...idly vada is par excellent...must visit place❤️❤️

Extremely rude and unprofessional place. They will not honor your order if they have some other order of higher pound value. Would never visit them again.
