My 7 year old daughter has just finished the programme with Katie. In a short space of time, I have seen her grow in confidence and her writing is so much neater. She is also writing so much faster which I am hoping will mean that she can keep up with her peers at school this year. Katie has been absolutely wonderful, she is so kind and my daughter used to really look forward to attending her lessons.

My son has a laptop pass at school as his handwriting is difficult to read. He cannot type as fast as he writes which is a frustration to him especially for exams. We went to magiclinkhandwriting to see if they could improve his handwriting so that he would have the choice of either to write or type. After just under 4 hours with magiclinkhandwriting his handwriting is so much more legible and the words are much better formed. This opens a lot of options for him.

My son completed the Magic Link Handwriting course with Rash and we were absolutely delighted with the results. She was very supportive and created a lovely environment for him to learn. If your child is struggling with their writing, I would really recommend working with Rash.

This is a very long overdue review due to other personal events. However this course with Gina's skills and talent (including patience) transformed my daughter's handwriting. It has only gone from strength to strength and 2 years on her handwriting is beautiful and school, friends and family continue to praise her presentation. Alicia Newman was amazing with my son. In October 2023 we were told at parents evening that his handwriting was illegible and that he will lose marks on his SATS if he didn’t improve. He was writing in the joined up, cursive style that he had been taught, but it was messy and the flicks on the letters made it unreadable. We found Alicia and thank goodness we did! She is kind and very encouraging and my son liked working with her. At first he said the writing style was ‘totally different’ from what school had shown him but he took to it quite quickly. When you look at his writing before and after there is a massive improvement. His handwriting is now clearer and easy to read. At our last parents evening the teacher said what a massive improvement there had been and thanked us for our support. He did very well in his SATS but his score would probably have been lower if we hadn’t done the Magic Link course. Thank you!

Cannot speak highly enough of the work that Nicky did with my 10yr old boys to work on their handwriting. She knew exactly how to engage them and get them motivated, and her approach has meant that we've seen a massive difference in their handwriting abilities and confidence in a relatively short period. My 11 year old son's handwriting was not progressing and we were very concerned that he was going to start secondary school without being able to cope. We couldn't read his writing, his teachers couldn't and neither could he! So his education was not progressing. His school never seemed to follow through on plans and it would go by the wayside. After a quick internet search we found Sarah and in less than three months she worked miracles. 45 minutes with her each week and then ten minutes a day was all it took to change his handwriting from being unreadable to neat and tidy. Sarah is welcoming, friendly yet also able to be direct in her guidance. My son was happy to go each week and is proud of what he, with Sarah's help, has achieved. Thanks, you've really made such a difference to our son's chances at school next year!

A fantastic experience from start to finish. My 10 year son was a reluctant writer with low confidence and I thought it would be a struggle to get him to the sessions but Katy made him feel so welcome and comfortable. She was very encouraging, giving feedback in a positive way and keeping him motivated throughout the course. He has now finished the workbooks with the confidence to put the magic link technique into practice before he starts secondary school. The communication from Katy about his progress throughout the course has been excellent, thank you so much.

Our seven year old son, Oli, is left-handed. His handwriting has never been great and I think that's affected his confidence in the past. We've just finished a 10 week course with Katie.

I expected some tantrums when we first suggested handwriting lessons but he was happy to start and usually sat through a 45 minute lesson twice a week.

Improvements happened fairly quickly and we're now at a point where he's voluntarily writing notes to us, which he wouldn't have done previously, suggesting his confidence has improved.

His handwriting is much better. The before/after examples are real. I'm sure his writing is better when Katie is in the room, but nonetheless it's a huge improvement and his increased confidence seems like he's much happier putting pen to paper. Recommended!

Lee was fantastic and my son thoroughly enjoyed his handwriting sessions. Lee was encouraging and very knowledgeable. I used Magic Link to help with my 10 year old son's handwriting. Katie was my son's tutor and she was fantastic. She was able to transform my son's handwriting within a few days. Her kind and patient approach helped massively to improve the way my son wrote. He started understanding himself what he wrote which used to be challenging for others as well as for him before and is not now anymore. He is writing legibly more than ever. Would highly recommend this course!

Genuinely thrilled by the progress my son made doing this Magic Link writing programme. Teacher Michelle had a very encouraging approach with him and transformed what had previously been a battle to get him to write, into a calm space where my son soon found confidence and freedom to pen down words into cursive form without putting much of a fight about it. I am truly thankful that such a programme exist and only wish that all children could experience the attention and encouragement needed for cursive writing. Lock down left children with gaps in given areas and as a parent searching to give my son the essential skills and confidence in cursive writing, Magic Link addressed the problem areas and worked steadily at my son's pace.

A really positive experience. My daughter (8) found it a little tricky at first but Lucy was incredibly supportive and the difference it has made to her writing and her confidence has been incredible.
I have friends who have worked with Lucy and they all say what a great teacher she is.

"Before I met Katy, I couldn't read my own writing. I felt embarrassed because all my friends had neater writing. Katy helped me with my pencil grip and letter formation. I started seeing a difference straight away, and so did my teacher at school. Katy is very kind and supportive (and also has great snacks!).

From a parent's view: Even though we gave up Sunday mornings for these sessions, A went willingly each week and also did her daily exercises without (much) prompting. I believe this was because she started seeing the improvement from the very start and every week there were more letters that became legible and her handwriting was transforming in front of her eyes. She finished the program and was so very proud to share her completion certificate with her teacher.

A's reception year at school was impacted by the lockdowns - just when handwriting was becoming an important part of their schooling - and it really never recovered from missing those basic steps of letter formation and addressing her unique pencil grip.

Sarah worked with my 7 year old daughter who had issues with her writing. Sarah's approach was very calm and patient and my daughter looked forward to her writing class. The difference in her writing is simply amazing. I never though she could write like she does now. This was achieved within a short time , something her school was unable to support her with. Thank you so much Sarah.

Didn’t work for us unfortunately. What amazes me the most is the charge staying the same which is £40 for 45 mins and there can be up to 6 students even though the teacher obviously can’t give the same time and patience.

Edit: The comparison is done between her normal pace of writing as the beginning as opposed to the one in the lesson when the child obviously made more effort to write better. So it’s not fair and not reflecting the real picture I’m afraid.

We used Magic Link to help with my daughter’s handwriting. Yudit our teacher was absolutely fantastic. She was able to transform our daughter’s handwriting within a few days. Her kind and patient approach along with her wealth of experience proved highly effective as our daughter obtained her pen license straight away. Would highly recommend this course!

I can’t recommend Katy Rigg enough for the amazing magic she has worked with our 8 year olds handwriting!!
He was very low in confidence about his writing and his teachers were struggling to read his work. He attended 12 or so weekly sessions with Katy with short daily practice in between.
We were worried he wouldn’t want to go to the weekly sessions at the weekend but he happily went and always came out very happy and pleased with himself.
He really seemed to enjoy seeing the progress he made and got great feedback from Katy along the way as well as from his friends and teachers at school too! He was even a bit sad to be finishing!
It really is magic and we are so grateful to Katy - she’s a brilliant kind and caring teacher!

Gillian has worked magic with my boys - my eldest used to have illegible writing, now his friends are envious and asking him to teach them how to write beautifully like he does, and his work is being used as an example to the whole school by his teachers. My youngest used to hate writing as it hurt and he’d get cross and frustrated when he couldn’t read it back - now he enjoys writing. Gillian is kind, patient, and uses just the right balance of encouragement and coaching and my boys always looked forward to her class and came out smiling. Highly, highly recommended!
