For the $30 price, this product is well worth the money. I'd like to provide a few tips for anyone purchasing this flat-pack item. (flat-pack is an industry term used to denote products which need assembly by the consumer). FYI- I spent 40 years in the building industry, and my primary specialty was cabinetry. The assembly instructions are first-rate. They are easy to understand and the drawings are very accurate. Anyone who can read and has a moderate level of mechanical ability, can assemble this cabinet.

There are a number of suggestions I have which will make the unit much stronger than designed. That being said, the engineering of this product is excellent. All the pieces are precision cut and fit together well. Now for what you MUST do if you want the cabinet to stay together, even if you move it from place to place. You MUST use carpenter's glue (yellow glue made by many companies), in the dowel sockets. Use it in both holes for every dowel you insert. This will produce a strong bond which will increase the cabinet strength. There are no instructions regarding the use of glue in the assembly details. Probably because glue can be messy if you're not used to working with it. A warm, wet, rag will clean up any excess glue, but do it without much delay or it will be harder to remove. Most yellow glue will dry within 2-4 hours, and will cure in about 24. Take the time for the glue to set, it will be worth it. Don't move the finished cabinet too much before the glue is dry.

The one element that is worthless in this cabinet, is the back. It's less than 1/8" in thickness, and is folded in thirds for packaging. The folds produce a crease which will split apart easily. DON'T USE THE BACK SUPPLIED WITH THE CABINET! Instead, go to Home Depot (my preferred vendor) and have them cut you a piece of 1/4", finish-grade plywood. They will cut it to your specifications... just measure the height and width of the assembled cabinet (on the back of it). Home Depot sells 1/2 sheets of plywood, so there will be little waste. Before you secure the back to the cabinet, use walnut wood stain,(or paint if you prefer) on the side which will be visable once installed. Use yellow carpenter's glue again to secure the cabinet back. This is important because the cabinet back racks the cabinet into square and keeps it that way. Do not use the nails provided in the kit to secure the back. The cabinet frame and shelves are made of particle board, and nails are useless in it. Instead, use 1" pan-head wood screws (#6) will be fine. Space them about 4" apart. I used 50 screws to secure the back on my cabinet. Trust me, you will never regret taking the time to install a proper back on this cabinet.

That's it. A well-engineered product, with precision-cut pieces, and an easy-to-understand assembly process. With only one major flaw- a worthless back you'll need to replace with a suitable one. Have fun and may it perform as you hope it will!

I now have 11 of mainstays 5 shelf bookcases . They are at a good price . But , my first two bookcases years ago , I had no problem with assembly . The 9 bookcases I just purchased has 1 main flaw . The ( CAM LOCKS) are garbage . I had to purchase cam locks to put them together .( normally 2-3 out of 4 cam locks fail , and shatter during assembly . I feel the 5 shelf bookcases are a awesome product , and I don't see why , they would taint a awesome product , by trying to save a few cents . I purchased 36 cam bolts from temu , and I didn't have a problem with any of them .

****Buyer Beware****
Extremely poor quality. Pans heat very quickly, downside, blew glass top off of pot, glass everywhere. Only thing that saved my eyes were my brand new, 700.00 progressive lens, which were totaled. Read other reviews about the lids blowing off, and glass flying everywhere. They are cheap, cheaply made, and they show it
Not safe, should be removed fr makret

I'm in my room and want to book another day it's 8:am and i need to do it before 11:00 am. My phone I left in my car and my wife leaves to go shopping. I'm on my laptop and I'm using the Wi-Fi in my room . Im waiting and waiting for the wifi to come on and when it does it is so slow and after an hour of going back and forth I still have not made my reservation. So I try again and the same thing. After 2 hours still nothing. My wife comes back from shopping after two hours and I get my phone and turn my hot spot on and get back on my laptop and in 5 minutes I get the reservation done and booked. Thank God for good internet.

I recall after a few hours I noticed a large object on the carpet it indeed was a water bug I got up got out of bed had to run downstairs to alert staff ... When I arrived to explain what happened, the young lady at the desk was very nonchalant about it she quickly offered another room adjacent to that room ...Switched room ASAP ...By switching room My travel companion and colleague was sleepy and left there iPhone and original OEM iPhone charger. In that room we was in with the water bug. Housekeeping was kind to return the phone but not the iPhone charger. I don't know what's going on at these hotels with them keeping people's items but this is what's been going on at most of the hotels these days .....

I have washed and dried brand new towels 5 times and still fuzziness come off when I dry my body. I have spent more in water than I paid for your towels. 0 out of 10

The room was nasty ROACHES everywhere in the bathroom especially I asked for a refund and was denied. Never stay here. Staff are very room and the manager tried blaming me for the roaches when another person had the same problem in a whole different room on a different floor. Highly don’t recommend staying here EVER. I also asked for the room to at least be cleaned and they didn’t even do that for me.

Most products are great and affordable. Recently I bought a mainstay mini air cooler, portable a/c- for my daughter and it works great and it was pleasantly but not surprisingly, on sale!!! Walmart is good about mark downs!!! I'm very happy with it.

Hey there, I've been purchasing and using mainstays products for about 15 years and gotta say they've always been great. I have bought their Dial Scales for my health and they're the best. Don't need ideal environment or batteries. :) Thanks so much.

What good is a beautiful design if you don't include a fitted and top sheet which forces us to use a different pattern .it really cheapens the fancy look of the bed

Bought some fans brand new from Walmart awhile ago more than a year and it is still working great model cfc1-500b date code 2010 thermally protected fan is used for house hold use only I'm loving it bought it from Walmart on 100 Ryan Dr red oak Texas 75154

Panties, one wash 3 pair unraveled into a web over the real clothing. since got a shirt wore twice and falling apart not even at the seams. Simply a joke and I am to blame as I continued to buy from Walmart this brand. No more! This is only the beginning of their crap I am cleaning out of my house..

Garbage. Utter garbage. 4 box fans in less than two months. First one was broken out of the box. We replaced it, worked fine. Bought a second, it fell over busted apart. Replaced it. It randomly stopped working. That's 2 replacements on 2 fans. Original "replacing" fan fell over and also busted apart and became useless.

I understand these.are "economy".fans. but at this point it.should be illegal. Trash doesn't even begin to describe the quality.

Edit: to be clear both fans that broke falling over were ground level. First was on the floor and I knocked.it over coming around a corner and 2 blades busted off.. second I was pulling across the floor and lost my grip and it fell over (ground level) and boom 2.blades.blasted off.

power outages are a fact. could you please build a rechargeable, battery operated small water cooler. besides emergency equipment, it can be used for camping or saving on electric bills and easily moved anywhere needed.

The stand was not hard to put together. Unfortunately my issue was the 4 screws to the legs when tightened would draw back and not stay flush to the panels both side (as directions said), leaving gaps between the side walls and bottom shelf. The head locks and pin tight system is not for me I couldn't tell when they were locked the stand ended up disassembling. Upon tightening them down I about stripped them out. That's all I got.

I bought a ceiling fan, one of the screws for the blades didn’t have thread. I know this happens at time, but instead of simply sending me a replacement screw they said I’d have to remove the fan and take it back to Walmart!!! Never again will I purchase their garbage products.

This company is an absolute disgrace. My property completion is being held up and I am at risk of losing my buyer. Mainstay, part of the wider FirstPort Group have failed to ensure Deed of Variation is signed and returned to my solicitor despite having it since SEPTEMBER. Repeated calls, emails and complaints have gone ignored and cannot even get an acknowledgment of my contact let alone a response. This is extremely distressing, operators are useless, rude and uncaring. I will never, ever recommend anyone buys property with this group of companies. AWFUL

We got there pretty late about 1 am. Checking in was fine everything was smooth. However, there was a smell in the area by the elevator. When the elevator doors opened it hit you. Elevator smelled like urine. We got to our room and the tile floor was sticky. Yuck! We were so tired and had to be up in 4 hours. Now mind you I didn't know this. Left dirty towels for house cleaning and returned to the room as we left it. My fault,but nothing was said or no notice posted that house keeping didn't come to you room. Had to take dirty towels to them to vet clean ones. On their website said continental breakfast. Went down in the morning and they served cold Jimmy Dean sausage and biscuit and a packaged muffin. I'm sorry,but I was through. We were supposed to stay till Sunday we left Friday. Won't stay there again. I've stayed at at better mainstays.
