I ordered more than one month ago a battery back which was listed as "in stock". After more than 1,5 month waiting time I start to think that this company is fake and I will never receive my order... :-(

Makerbright will not communicate with you. This doesn't sound like the worst thing until you realize that they use UPS and that means if anything goes wrong it is Makerbright who is responsible for the claim going through for a lost package. They don't respond to UPS and they don't respond to you, so you will be out money, just like I am for 100 dollars after constantly trying to communicate for over 4 months.

I ordered a RPI 5 which was "in stock". It didn't ship for another 3 or 4 weeks when I was no longer in town. Makerbright had required signature (which they had not given any notice of) which caused the package to be returned to sender.

After the package was returned to sender, Makerbright did not respond to any inquiry about receiving a refund. I had to do a credit card dispute.

This isn't a scam website but I would avoid anyway.

Ordered a Raspberry Pi kit at significant markup in February, but it never arrived, tracking never worked. Through March and April I made multiple attempts to get in touch with them through their online form and by email, but got no reply. Escalated the issue to Paypal and got my money back from them after Makerbright didn't respond to them either.

My impression is that the store seems to send out hardware, but they really need to work on communication when things go wrong.
