I was looking to host a student again as I havnt done so for a few years.
I found Malvern house via a Google search and dealt with Cinzia..
They are very thorough with their application process which is a good thing ie I had to make sure I had a gas safety certificate, carbon monoxide tester etc but once I'd completed the necessary checks I was allocated a 21 year old male student from Saudi Arabia who came to stay for 8 weeks. ( and left yesterday. )
He was a delight to host, became my 'son' for the duration and I miss him terribly already!.
The school were easy to contact and the payments reached my account on time every 2 weeks.
Being a 'Summer placement', I found the rates to be higher than average which was nice considering the rising cost of living at the moment and I am looking forward to my next placement next week ( after a little well deserved break this week!
So, all in all a great experience and if you are thinking of hosting I would highly recommend this school.

We hosted a student from Malvern House Brighton and it was a great experience. The student was lovely and got on well with all the family. They clearly enjoyed the lessons at the school too. All the communication between the school (mostly Cinzia) and ourselves was really good and I would definitely host students from them again and would recommend them highly to anyone who is considering it.

Fantastic smaller school for international students to learn English in the UK. The main school is in London, plus there is also one in Brighton. I found university life to be very impersonal in London, particularly as I am shy.

Malvern House differs because they focus on having small classes with a support network that includes social activities. It is like staying at a lovely homely AirBnB with friendly hosts compared to a massive low grade hotel that feels like a hospital.

Malvern House is friendly, fun, great value and the best option for a language school in London or Brighton. I know this as I am the type of person who spends too long reading reviews online before making a decision. They have a variety of English courses such as IELTS exam preparation.
