Very poor potentially new customer service
After receiving 3 letters from Pru / M&G offering âfinancial advice that could make a big difference to my pensionâ, I have tried to phone the company several times a day over a 3 working day period, with each time being presented with a pre-recorded message saying âall Agents are busy, hang onâ. Each time I have waited over 5 minutes then given up, or I have been disconnected. Very poor customer service.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
All I can say is that M&G is an appalling discretionary fund manager and should be avoided AT ALL COSTS. I requested a small withdrawal from my general investment fund through my financial advisor 4 months ago (4 MONTHS!) and despite COUNTLESS chasing emails they have still yet to process the request.
Unless you enjoy complete uncertainty about access to your money (which I have taken the liberty of assuming very few people do), you should avoid them at all costs.

Absolute nightmare of a company , I really don't know how they have survived operating as they do. I have been chasing a form since October in order to cash in my pension and have been given broken after broken promise. I am buying a house which The Pru are holding up. They have sent me £150 in compensation and I still haven't received The form!I have spent hours being put on hold and cut off and it's difficult to contact anyone who appears competent. I've never had dealings like this with a company, they have been promising to send an email and hard copies within 7 days for 3 months now and they are never sent .They are causing me real problems with my own money . My next step is to report them to the financial ombudsman.my advice is steer well clear of this unprofessional outfit at all costs , they are about to make me homeless! THANKS PRU

For the thinking passive investor
I'm happy with M&G - they are communicative about how they invest, fund allocation and I love their updates sharing why they are changing weights to particular assets. My consultant is friendly and while they do not offer advice, it's good to have someone you can pick up the phone to and will explain their approach. They were willing to send over documents for me to peruse about individual assets in the fund.. The fees are reasonable, and I've found them a strong contender in their space so far. Let's see how they perform over the long term.

An unprofessional experience
A terribly disappointing experience leading to a complete lack of trust and professionalism. I set up an account and arranged for a £60k Cash ISA transfer into a &me Stocks & Shares ISA. I was assured that the paperwork had been sent to my ISA provider but after 27 days nothing had happened. When I contacted my provider I was told that no ISA transfer request form had been sent by &me. I called and complained, receiving an apology for their error. But it doesn't inspire confidence in the company so I asked for my account to be deleted, which it eventually was after I declined their offer to waive management fees for a year. Personally if they can't do a simple ISA transfer then I'm not comfortable investing my own money with them.

Makes investing easy. I don't know much about finance/investing, and have no idea which stocks to pick! &me makes it really easy by doing all of this for me. The app is clear and makes tracking my investments simple.

Great experience with my consultant.
The app was very slick and it's easy to get set up.
I had a great chat with my consultant who was an incredibly helpful young man. We talked through my options and gave me a greater understanding of my investments and the markets in these uncertain economic times. Incredibly re-assuring.
It's always great to talk to an expert who knows about these kinds of things, as I can never keep up. They seemed far more interested in understanding and helping me with my financial situation than Nutmeg, who I have since transferred my pension from to &me.
Overall a refreshing experience.

Was I just unlucky or is this a data gathering scam?
Clicked through to this site through an offer on the MSE website. I downloaded the App and supplied all of my personal information and was then informed that the offer was oversubscribed and therefore no longer available. In my opinion this should happen at the very start because I feel I have given everything for nothing. Needless to say the App has now been deleted but that still leaves them with all my data.

Hi. In spite of sending two emails regarding my recently opened account, I have still had no reply as to what has happened to my deposit.
My account is still saying to add funds. This I have already done, which has been acknowledged by you.
Apart from the fact that I am concerned that no one has responded to my emails, I would like to know what has happened to my deposit.

Took a while to set up
Took a while to set up the app lots of questions some I felt were not needed. I messed up so had to call them they answered call very quick and problem sorted in no time.
Took a day or two for my money to reach my account with no reference to say my deposit was pending. All set up now deposit made will have to see if it can outperform the markets.
