Arrived in a mess. One plant missing. Another in shreds. Only 3 out of 10 are surviving so far. Have emailed Marshalls at least 3 times. No reply. Very poor. Will not use them for plugs again.

The Artichoke Plant 'Green Globe' is a striking perennial vegetable that combines ornamental charm with delicious, edible buds. Known for its large, globe-shaped, tender flower heads, this variety is perfect for home gardens, allotments, and container growing. Thriving in full sun with well-drained soil, the 'Green Globe' artichoke produces multiple harvests from late spring to early autumn. Its silvery-green, deeply lobed foliage adds a bold architectural feature to any garden, while the edible buds can be steamed, roasted, or grilled for a healthy, gourmet addition to meals.
Ideal for gardeners seeking both visual appeal and culinary use, Artichoke 'Green Globe' is rich in antioxidants and fibre, making it a nutritious choice for your vegetable patch. This variety prefers a sheltered spot, regular watering, and protection from frost during its first year, ensuring vigorous growth and plentiful, tender buds in subsequent seasons. Easy to grow and highly rewarding, it is a must-have for anyone looking to cultivate a garden full of flavour and style.

I have bought plants from Marshalls for many years. They have always been of excellent quality. On this occasion, the artichoke plants arrived in a very poor state. Two of ten plants have now died, with only five likely to develop successfully. The plants were obviously packed during pouring rain (difficult to avoid at present!) with many leaves damaged. I will rescue what I can.
