Words can’t explain how fantastic Matt was on our wedding day! We were very unfortunate that we had a storm on our wedding day but Matt didn’t let that phase him or change our experience. He came up with amazingly creative ideas to ensure we still got all the shots we asked for and more! Both him and Joy work so well together and blended so seamlessly into the day and took fantastic natural shots of our guests, many of which are now using them as profile pictures! Matt and Joy thank you so so much.

Wow! What a gentlemen. I'm was blown away with Matt's professionalism he was fantastic from start to finish. From the first message to the lovely thoughtful message the day before my wedding.
The contract was impeccable (yes I read every word) it truly put me at ease when parting with money and I knew where I stood every step of the way regarding payment & what ifs etc.
On the day he just blended in perfectly, it was like he was apart of the wedding as a guest.
I could type so much more but I'll be here all day..
Last of all the photos are phenomenal.
You are incredible at what you do and thank you so much for being a huge part of our special day.

We have used Matt for both our daughter’s weddings now and cannot give him praise enough. Very professional from the beginning and seems to have a knack of capturing the emotions of the day with ease. The majority of the day you won’t know he’s there but the amount photos he takes is unbelievable and by the end of the day you just see him as a family guest rather than “the photographer “. If you are looking for someone to capture your special day then look no further. I promise you you won’t be disappointed when the finished album arrives.

Firstly, the pictures from the session were absolutely great and exactly what we wanted for our first family of four session. Matt was very professional from start to finish, with a phone call to go through how the session would work, to sending our photos to us after and making sure we were able to view them okay. The session was great, Matt recommended the location which we were so happy with as the background of our photos. He was very relaxed throughout the session and put us at ease, which was so helpful with trying the picture two little ones. It ran very smooth and we could definitely tell he knew what he was doing. We had so much confidence the photos would turn out amazing. We would definitely recommend Matt and will definitely book him in the future.

We had the pleasure of working with Matt and Joy for our wedding in July 2024. We saw them at a wedding fair and immediately felt at ease talking with them and knew we wanted them to capture our day. We met for a coffee and Matt showed us his portfolio and discussed how the process worked which made this area of planning so much easier. On the day, Matt found some amazing spots to take our couples photos and explored the areas surrounding the venue to find the most picturesque spots. During our formal photos, they were very efficient with Matt taking photos and Joy making sure everyone was ready for the next shot which kept the time short so we could enjoy as much of the day mingling with our guests as possible. We are not very comfortable people in front of a camera but Matt helped us to feel natural and captured us in our best light. We love the photos that we have received and will treasure them was a reminder of our day always. I couldn’t recommend working with Matt enough, very professional and goes above and beyond.

Finding THE photographer for your wedding isn't always easy. However when I found Matt on a wedding group on Facebook, and looked through his gallery we knew he was exactly what we were looking for. Matt is great at communication, which put our minds at ease. We had no doubts about whether he would turn up or if we had been forgotten about which unfortunately we found with other suppliers. On the day Matt was ready, organised and helpful with a smile on his face. He also helped the groom with his boutonniere as he had it on the otherside which was so lovely. Although he mostly had to take direction from the dj, and things changed slightly throughout the day, he was professional and went with the flow. All the guests thought he was brilliant. We have absolutely beautiful photos to treasure forever and we will always recommend him. Thank you Matt for being such an important part of our day.

If you are unsure of who to go to when you need a photographer look no further than Matt! He made it all very easy on our wedding day, he took some amazing photos and kept us smiling throughout the day. He was relaxed and calm which goes a long way on your wedding day, nothing was too much for him and I couldn’t recommend a better guy for the job. Matt did the photography at our wedding and produced excellent photographs. We chose Matt as he was local to us and from the start the communication was brilliant. Approximately 2 weeks prior to the wedding we met up with Matt to go through our plans and these were delivered on the day.
Matt is reliable and produced some brilliant photographs which captured us and our guests creating fantastic memories of our special day.

Matt was recommended to me after I posted on a local spotted page on Facebook and was the only photographer that took the time to ring me and ask what I was looking compared to others who just referred me to their website to view their work / look at prices.
The brief was simple for us, casual shots, some posed and mainly photographing my husband and I and our 2 boys. He listened to everything I wanted, what I didn't want, how the day was just going to be low key, no fuss and the photos captured just a relaxed vibe.
Matt was great with communication, meetings with him were stress free so it made the process easier. He's friendly, caring, easy going and great to have as a photographer, he just makes you feel relaxed on your day while doing the photos.
Matt was local to our venues so he was able to take us to some beautiful spots in quorn so capture more photos.
We booked 4 hour coverage which was plenty for us but in our final meeting I was worried it wasn't enough. He was open to covering more if he felt he needed to and he would let us know on the day but he captured everything we asked for in the time we got.

Matt and Joy were both really lovely people. I didn't know that they were around most of the time once the wedding began. They took some amazing photos. They were very patient as we were married on the day of the semi final with England and the whole wedding stopped for 2 hours while the guests watched the game but they made sure they captured these moments too which has added a different element to the album. I love it. Also for a small extra fee Matt brought his lovely now wife along to take even more photos BARGAIN! thanks both I would definately recommend you to future clients. The weather wasn't the greatest and we had to keep stopping for rain but Matt made sure he was there to find us as soon as it stopped. You were a pleasure to have at our wedding and the photos are beautiful, some amazing memories captured ❤

We researched a lot of potential photographers for our wedding, but as soon as we had the initial conversation with Matt, we were confident he was the one for us. He was super-friendly and positive, explained the whole process to us, and was completely open to capturing our desired aesthetic. Beyond happy and grateful to have had Matt and Joy as our wedding photographers. They helped us create the most perfect day by far. From the moment they arrived, we were put at ease by their calm approach to our busy morning. They helped us stay on track and get us all excited for the rest of the day.
Matt literally does it all, he was here there and everywhere getting the best locations for photos and even helped save the day when it came to the dress not doing up! In a moment which could of turned to panic, Matt kept the room calm and got the dress done up. He helped not only with my dress but with my Dad and his cuff links. These moments may not be captured but are definitely heart warming memories.
Joy was an absolute pleasure to have around all day. Her bubbly presence was ever so calming and her keen eye for detail meant not only were getting ready spray shots captured but the little things like tags, support straps etc where all hidden or taken care of.
After meeting Matt & Joy at wedding showcase 2 years prior to our wedding and being the first thing we booked, I can happily say now Matt Allen photography was the best decision we made. Everything was timed so perfectly and ran in such a relaxed manner, most of the time leading us to be ahead of schedule. We think it’s so important that others realise that you spend a significant proportion of your day with your photographer, you need to like that person and feel comfortable with that person. Matt and Joy were great to work with. The photos from our wedding are fantastic and they captured so many lovely moments. Both of them are lovely people who work hard but they aren’t intrusive or under your feet. Our guests said how much they were running round trying to get great pics, being friendly and helping even the awkward hidden people feel comfortable infront of the lense.
