If I could give ZERO stars, I would! We paid for an oil change and asked them to top the fluids. 4 days later, my car had no oil, no transmission fluid, and the transmission is blown.
We reached out to the corporate office and Marcus said it was our fault. We’re currently facing eviction because we can’t get to work because our car is down. We don’t have the extra money to fix the problem they created. Then, we look online and it turns out that Mavis as a brand has been known to be negligent. I’m definitely seeking legal action. All we wanted them to do was make it right. This is the letter I wrote to them:

Mavis Corporation.

To whom it may concern, on Monday, June 10, 2024, we brought our 2014 Chevrolet Sonic in for an Oil change at 45 Market Place Dr in Newnan, GA 30265. Upon the visit, it was suggested that we change two tires and we were informed that a radiator hose was improperly connected. We allowed the shop to service our car and they also checked all the fluids on our vehicle and topped us off. During the week, we drove the car very minimally, but we noticed a sound when we drove that sounded mechanical, nearly like a “Power Wheels” car. We took the car back to the same location on Friday, June 14, 2024 and asked them to inspect it. The mechanic said it was nothing wrong. Later that day, our car begun emitting white smoke from the tail pipe and from under the hood, resulting in our inability to go to work. Facing job loss due to lack of transportation, we decided to call a mechanic. The mechanic confirmed that our car had no oil, no transmission fluid, and no coolant. According to the invoice from the Newnan Mavis location, all the fluids were topped off. The mechanic has diagnosed our car to be immobile due to no transmission fluid which has destroyed the transmission fully.

This has placed my family in a major bind. We do not have $2,500 to purchase a new transmission and quite frankly, the damage was not our fault. We have never had a problem with our transmission, no leaks, no issues at all. We are requesting that you cover the cost of repairs for the damage to our car due to the negligence of your mechanics. Enclosed is a statement from a mechanic that came to inspect and diagnose our vehicle.

I hit something in the road and my tire went flat. Mavis was the closest place so I pulled in and they changed my tire. It wasn't until one year later that I learned from another dealer that Mavis sold me the wrong tire, really off from what I needed, and could have potentially damaged my car. I'll never go back to any Mavis location.

I had an emergency (well for me it was). The cover for my oil pan was dragging the ground and making this awful sound. I was so afraid that I had damaged the cover. My friend suggested that we stop at Mavis as we were driving by. I turned around and pulled into the parking lot. Even though Teveon was helping another customer, he immediately acknowledged me and asked if he could help. I showed him the piece hanging under my car. He told me it was the cover for my oil pan. He stated that he could fix it and that as soon as he was finished with his customer, he would take care of it. After about 5 minutes, Samuel came over and helped me. I ended up having my oil changed and the cover was reattached. I was very impressed with their professionalism. Great customer service.

This location is superb in their work I can always depend on them to get the job done correctly. I recommend everyone I know that needs any automotive assistance directly here over any other location. Thanks so much for your help guys you're awesome.
