I have always bought maytag . But this washer I have bought have not had it a year yet and the first week they had to replace a intake water valve and now again the same problem. But the worse it there customer service. Can not get thru to talk to anyone and when you do they are down right not caring and rude. I asked Angela in the repair department . Would she like someone to treat her family member like she did me. And then she started thinking but before that I told her I will never buy maytag or whirlpool because they are the same company and and she said yes very cold in her voice. Like oh well. She could care less and this is a service person that gets paid for helping people and 2 days before John was just as cold. We are on 2 day without even a date to come out and fix my washer. That is not customer care because Lord knows how long it will be with no appointment scheduled yet. Very very very disappointed. Will never do maytag or Whirlpool again. I paid over $1000. For a piece of junk metal. Not even a year old yet.

I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer less than a year ago because I had heard they worked very well. My washing machine no longer functions and it is still under warranty. However it is extremely difficult to speak to someone in customer service and the wait time is two weeks plus just to get someone out and take a look. I am very disappointed and I will not purchase Maytag again.

This is the worst Maytag washing machine that I have EVER owned. There is absolutely nothing I like about and terribly poor customer service service. It takes way too long to do a load of wash( old Maytag took 1/2 hour) This one takes over 1 hour, that is bull s…….You have no way of knowing about the water level because the machine is locked. There are way too many cons. I would never recommend this machine to anyone. By the way don’t expect a paper manual or to talk on the phone with you about any problem. When it doesn’t work some day I will never get it repaired it’s out of here.It gets a below 1 rating for me.4 and1/2 hours to do 2 loads of wash,that includes dryer. The Maytag dryer is fine but like I said the washer is a nightmare.

With delivery and installation, I spent $1,000 on this Maytag washer. Gear case went out in only 2 months. I have now been waiting a month for Whirlpool to get in the part to have it replaced. Was told it was escalated and the part would be rushed and it was not escalated. I just finished my fourth communication with Whirlpool. Long wait times for phone calls and chat bots. They are not at all concerned about my situation. Will never purchase another appliance from a Whirlpool company

Bought the dryer in January 2025. Cheap junk broke 2 months after warranty expired. Poor quality plastic garbage made in China! The Maytag repairman is bored because these cheap plastic pieces of garbage last just past the warranty, then you throw them away! It's cheaper to buy a new one than to have a service call. So much for American Quality. That's definitely a thing of the past.

I purchased Maytag top loading washer in Feb 2024. It failed catastrophically two days ago. Needs new Cam and Gear box. It is out of one year warranty and is 2 years old. Cost of repairs will be in excess of buying new machine. After contacting Maytag they said tough luck, read your warranty and please buy a new machine from us. Seems preposterous that they would not work with me on this and their products only last 2 years. I would have at least expected a discount on a new model, but no, nothing.

Based on my experience I would not recommend anyone buy Maytag, or for that matter Whirlpool, product. Very disappointing.

I bought a Maytag Pet Pro washer/dryer combo new in November 2024, but didn't actually use it until July 2025. Just seven months later, the dryer motor broke. Unfortunately, the full warranty expires 12 months after the Delivery date, and even though I only used it for seven months, it's been in my possession for more than 12 months, so the warranty fell back to the 10 year motor warranty only. Which means I have to pay for labor, and the trip fee. So the trip fee for the tech was $139, and labor was $130. On top of that, even though the motor was covered under warranty, I had to buy a new plastic fan attached to the motor, because they say that part always breaks when you remove the motor, and that was $48. So it's basically impossible to have a free warranty repair even though they say 10 year warranty, even on the parts! The fan should be covered, I think. I mentioned this to the tech, and even he laughed, because it felt like such a racket. So all in, I had to pay $320 to repair a $870 dryer I've only used for 6 months.

DO NOT BUY THE FRONT LOAD PETP PRO WASHER!!!! it has a bad master board by design and they will not honor it. I have owned my since April 2025 and it is currently march 2026 and I've had this board replaced twice under warranty. Now they want me to purchase additional monthly protection but they will not extend the warranty or replace the product. The customer service rep was very nice but unable to help due to their 'company policy' of screwing over unsuspecting buyers. I'LL NEVER BUY MAYTAG WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES AGAIN!

Bought washer in 2023 paid 900.00: quit working contacted Maytag sent someone out took 8 days for them to come then to tell me it’s the clutch and they have to order the part. Another 9 days before they come back. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY AN HIGH END WASHER. Get one for $300 and if it last 2 years feel lucky.

My wife and I purchased a brand new Maytag washer and dryer. The models are MHW8630HC and MED8630HC. The washer lasted four loads and the motherboard completely went out. The dryer lasted one more load and the door won't close. These products are complete garbage and getting a hold of anyone at Maytag is ridiculous. Buy something other than Maytag. I imagine your experience will be superior to the one my wife and I have had.

Purchased a Maytag washer 5/22. To date we have had just about every component replace, multiple repairs.
Today, marks a month waiting for yet another part to get the machine working. It is so frustrating not having the use of our machine. Repairmen have said don’t put any blankets in, or throw rugs as the machine can not handle it, even though I purchased a large capacity machine.
I’m ready to throw the machine out, but what to buy instead. Thanks for nothing Maytag.

I bought this Maytag washer in October 2024 specifically for my 86-year-old mother-in-law. I chose it because it looked simple, was reasonably priced (around $509), and she would only use it occasionally for light loads. Less than a year and a half later, it’s already broken.We had to call an authorized Maytag repair service, which charged $109 just to diagnose the problem: the suspension system is shot. The repair quote? Another $250–$300 on top of the diagnostic fee. That means spending nearly $400 to fix a machine that originally cost $509. At that point, it’s almost cheaper (and certainly wiser) to replace it entirely.I contacted Maytag customer service directly to explain the situation and ask for some reasonable help—after all, this is a major failure on a relatively new appliance used very lightly. Their “best” offer? 20% off a brand-new washer. Seriously? Why on earth would I want to buy another Maytag after this experience? They essentially told me to throw good money after bad with zero goodwill or accountability for a product that failed so prematurely.Extremely disappointed and frustrated. This feels like planned obsolescence at its worst. I cannot recommend this washer—or apparently anything from Maytag—to anyone looking for reliability, especially for elderly users or light-duty needs. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Horrible! Wanted 325 or a monthly payment just to come out and look at my washing machine. Despite having a sticker on the machine that says 10 year warranty for parts. Will never buy another Maytag applicance again- RUN!!!

Our Maytag Commercial Technology washer stopped working after 7 years. A service tech said the control panel was shot but the part has been discontinued so it’s toast. So much for 10-13 year lifespan. I will never buy a Maytag again. Clearly, they do not support their products. It’s all about selling you a new machine. Another American company ripping off people for profit.

Maytag washer MVW4505MW0 has quit (mid cycle) 3 times since purchase in Sept. 2023 We night extended warranty from Best Buy thankfully. Service out 5 times due to ordering parts etc. I would choose a different make and model.

Recently, purchased maytags, pet pro washer and dryer set that was delivered after Christmas. Washer doesn't wash clothes even with the agitator they come out dirty and with patches of lint and dry in parts as if they never were completely submerged in water and rotated throughout the washing or rinsing cycles, even when tried deep fill options. When used the hot cycle uou can feel the heat/steam escaping where the lid separates from the control panel and accumulates steam and condensation. A few months of this and the steam and water will impact the ability for the electric panel to operate for any use. The filter that is in the agitator says needs to be cleaned but as a 5'5 woman I struggle to reach in to PUSH AND TWIST where the drum doesn't to get the filter loose so I can clean and replace. Obviously if I cant get off buildup will occur over time also going to affect ability to operate correctly. Customer service says nothing they can do for a return, but schedule maintenance and if cant be fixed then they can exchange. Maintenance on a new washer and dryer is absurd?! Dryer works but the lint catcher doesn't appear the line all the way down because there is lint that gets into the basin below the bottom of the filter like it doesn't catch and drops off. Customer service is awful as you wait on hold for over an hour for them to say I'll transfer you to that department, wait on hold again and they cant do anything about a return, say to call Home Depot, and send you to another department to wait again on hold. 3 days of this and I finally after 2 hours gave up and plan on bringing them to Home Depot because they are not worth $2200 let alone $500. Should have known better after having a fridge that lasted us 3 years and said let's give this product a go based on recommendation from Home Depot staff. Overpriced junk and the customer service is worse than the junk products.

If you have an old Maytag appliance and are considering buying a new one because of it's reliability, think again.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher in 2023 and after only 2 years the paint is peeling and rust showing, caused by the dishwashers own steam. It looks terrible.

We tried contacting their support and they were unhelpful.

We will not be buying Maytag again.

Maytag has some of the worst design ever with their appliance. I will never purchase it again.
Installed the dishwasher this Saturday. We have to wire the plug ourselves. WHY???
The instruction also did not include any indication or visual cues regarding drain and water intake, assuming any homeowner can figure it out...?

Worst washer I’ve ever owned.

The Maytag Bravos Extra Large with “Commercial Technology” does not clean clothes. Even using Power Wash, Deep Clean, Extra Rinse, Extra Heavy Soil, and running the cycle for 1 hour 45 minutes, clothes still come out dirty. I’ve used both cold and hot water with the same results.

I use one Tide pod (designed for cold water) and have also tried All Free & Clear and other detergents. Pods don’t fully dissolve, and clothes are still filthy regardless of detergent or temperature.

Calling this washer “extra large” is misleading. If I load more than four pairs of jeans, they come out with detergent chunks and visible dirt.

This is the worst washing machine I’ve had in 40 years. It wastes time, doesn’t use enough water, and simply does not clean. I would never recommend it!

Maytag customer service is the worst experience that I have ever had. Our washer leaked, turns out after two customer service visits, it was determined that during manufacturing, Maytag installed a faulty part. I submitted letters from the service tech along with the faulty part that was determined to cause the leak. I had to submit this claim twice and after 2 months, they got back to me asking me to resubmit everything again! The most incompetent company that I have ever dealt with.
