They can improve by listening instead…
They can improve by listening instead of being judgmental & condescending. It’s easy for them to sit at a computer, take a call, bill the insurance company, but not give a hoot about helping the people that call in. The day started off with Maheshkumar A Patel, & he called in Flonase & a 1960’s version of cough medicine in a gel capsule. No antibiotic for congestion, ear ache, low grade fever, & cough; problem 1. Problem 2 occurred when we called back, asked to NOT speak to him, but he snatched the call up anyways, received a text & had his name as the Provider. We answered anyways, after stating the obvious of his less than stellar diagnosis of a Virus, he lied to say it was protocol not to give antibiotics unless the patient has been sick for 7 days. Then his condescending clown of a colleague cohort called back & assumed she was going to bully a 19 year old. Not realizing said 19 year olds mother was on the phone too. The conversation ended when the bad Dr answered the question of, do you have children, & her answer evoked my response of, well then you know when your kids are sick or not right, so do I & you aren’t giving my kid your all. She then hung up with no notice. Unfortunately she never gave her name even when I asked for it. No wonder there’s a 2 star rating. Quite correct!

I will not be using MDLive again
I will not be using MDLive again. I first tried the service during covid and had a good experience. This time, I had a negative experience and will not use it again:
-My heath insurance is now through Cigna and you need to login through Cigna rather than through MDLive directly.
- The cost of the primary care visit was $20 more than my in-person primary care option.
- The provider was 20 minutes late, and was rude. She spoke to me in a condescending tone like a child who was getting in trouble, tried to say I booked the wrong kind of appointment, and just did not have a good bedside manner.
-There was no place to leave feedback about the specific provider. While waiting for the late appointment I had called customer care who told me the provider was showing as running late on their side. I could cancel if I wanted but I would be charged.

Scam
They couldn't verify my insurance even though it's active so they charged me the full amount for the visit eventhough they never actually sent over the prescription, I had to go to urgent care. It's a scam

MDLive is a waste of money/lots of red tape
MDLive is a waste of time and money due to all of the red tape. Have a sinus infection. We have a rare instance of snow in Georgia and have been advised not to drive. Today driving conditions were fair. Called Urgent Care and due to weather conditions and it's Sunday, they suggested I come back tomorrow. MDLive did schedule an appointment and called me at the appropriate time. The doctor was very professional. My complaint is I have been in pain from this sinus infection and have been taking the maximum dose of both Ibuprofen and/or Naproxen allowed for over 5 days. I got scolded from Urgent care last time I did this that I could damage my liver. So I had my appt and was told that until 10 days had passed, this was most likely viral and they would not prescribe antibiotics. Antibiotics I have taken in the past and are part of my Cigna chart (if it had been accessible). I will need to call back after 10 days and pay $60 again. I was also told it was no guarantee I would get prescribed antibiotics so I was advised to handle this more efficiently, I should see a physician in person. Will never use this service again. Cigna encourages it, of course, but if MDLIve isn't willing to help me, it is a waste of money. Everything suggested I am already doing and could have been found from a free Google search: OTC pain meds, Sudafed, saline spray, steam with eucalyptus, or hot showers, etc. Very disappointed and frustrated that I have to live with this pain for another 3-5 days before I can get relief. Yes, the OTC works for suffering (at max or over that amount doses), but I get these every year (often several times) and it won't go away on its own. Would have been nice if the doctor had access to my medical history but I doubt it would have changed things.

I’d give this place a negative stars if it was allowed. Alas that wasn’t an option.
I mad the awful mistake of taking the easy way out and doing a telehealth visit with the provider my insurance supports. Plus I am far too unwell to drive myself an hour to the local urgent care.
So logged in and was told the wait was 5 minutes. Cool I got 5 minutes. After all my walking pneumonia isn’t going to get worse. Yes I do know because it’s not my first rodeo.
So 30 minutes later I get notification my video apt is ready to start. Good to know online drs as as late as in person….
Answered the call in the middle of a coughing fit and trying to catch my breath. The dr hangs up and calls me instead. I guess you couldn’t video chat while he was driving. Yes he was driving.
Symptoms. Well for a week severe coughing and so bad I’m either barfing for it’s taking me many minutes to catch my breath. My sides and back hurt to the touch from coughing and I feel like something is sitting on my chest.
OTC cold and flu just are not working.
His response. I’m calling in a nasal spray. A flipping nasal spray for what???? How is a nasal spray going to fix my chest a lungs. Are you kidding me?!?!?!?
Then he hung up. I guess maybe he hit a dead spot on his drive.
Mind you it’s Sunday. No discussion on a pharmacy or a dx or a treatment plan. But nasal spray.
Anyways his worthless script went to a pharmacy that will be open in a few days.
In the mean time I got dressed drove to urgent care where proper medication for pneumonia was provided.
What a flipping joke. These people should not be allowed to practice anything including a golf swing.

DO NOT RECOMMEND
DO NOT RECOMMEND. Had a painful UTI and scheduled appt hoping to get fast antibiotic. Talked to doctor for less than 2 minutes before she denied me service. Supervisors would not issue me a refund of $60+ after denying me service. Had to make appt elsewhere and pay twice. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY - MDLIVE IS FRAUDULENT

Poor experience with MDLive
Poor experience with MDLive, to say the least. The provider couldn't wait to get off the phone, aggressively talked over my wife, and ultimately called back 10 minutes later to change the Rx which they had previously agreed he should prescribe for her sinus infection (and which was effective for her in the past). Again, he talked over her, told her what he was doing, and then hung up. He also had the nerve, in the first phone call, to question her taking another Rx (totally unrelated to her sinus infection) on her medication list and which is prescribed by her PCP.

The therapist was outstanding but their billing practices are fraudulent at best. My insurance has no copay for any service yet their Indian customer service was demanding payment before I could schedule another session. My insurance company (humana) called them and told them I had no copay. I've had to end my sessions with a great therapist. Would be nice to get a class action against this company.

Pharmacies are not accepting their prescriptions due to fraud and they know it. Yet, they continue to peddle fake healthcare. I got 2 prescriptions, paid my fee, and no pharmacy whatsoever will fill the prescription because the suspect MDLIVE of FRAUD. They refuse to refund the fee, and in top of that they laugh at you.

Company is a litteral Joke
Company is a litteral Joke. Absolutely do not recommend, they claim to be able to give a doctors note and get prescriptions ready within an hour bare minimum, took all morning long going back and forth and fighting with them just to get a doctors note at 2 pm! After scheduling an appointment at 10am!!! Then when I demanded a refund for their ridiculous services, they wanted to charge me an additional $50 when we didn't even SPEAK to a doctor! Just beyond stupid. Never ever again.

I was so disappointed I called at 2 o’clock in the morning because I felt so sick and I wanted to address my concerns. I was told that I’d be called shortly instead I was called every 15 minutes until 5 AM at 5 AM. They called to tell me that I was unable to be seen and needed to make an appointment for 8:15 AM, I followed through with the appointment and I was on hold until 9:45 AM to speak with the physician I was exhausted on top of being ill because of the disturbance in my sleep upon finally reaching the physician, he was demeaning and not really concerned with my illness. I was extremely disappointed. This is my first time using your services due to my insurance benefits, and it will be the last time. It was a total waste of time and money and disturbance of my sleep. In the past I used LiveHealth and they were amazing they cared. It was quick they listen and gave you the correct diagnosis in medication’s. What a waste of time and money this was with your company.
Don’t waste your time or money.
The doctor I talked to was very condescending. I have a sinus infection that has progressively gotten worse over the last 4 days. To the point that my sinuses were throbbing and I was so dizzy I could barely function. I called in to MD Live and the doctor said he could not give me antibiotics unless I had symptoms for more than ten days. I explained to him how sick I was and he said that was the rules. I told him I was going to have to go to my doctor and he said no doctor is going to give you antibiotics. It was crazy! I ended up at urgent care and the doctor looked in my ears felt my sinuses and said you have an acute sinus infection and he gave me antibiotics and steroids. I used MD Live to save money but ended up paying them and for an urgent care visit. Total waste of money stay away.
Had been diagnosed at an emergency room…
Had been diagnosed at an emergency room with a UTI- before I had insurance at my new job. The emergency room took so long- 9 hours later I left with the diagnosis but not with an ex because it was so busy. Knowing my insurance was starting 5 days later- I booked an appointment. After two attto verifying my insurance- which I only know about them because my insurance kept prompting me to use them- they declined declined over. Then accepted- took my payment (which was supposed to be free) then I had my appointment for the medical professional to tell me to go to the store, and take a uti test within an hour. Otherwise she won’t rx me- even though I had medical records from a formal test. My appointment was early- the store didn’t open in time. And now they say they can’t bill my insurance. Straight scam.
THE WORST
I was feeling miserable, and it was 10 p.m., so seeing my primary doctor wasn’t an option. I had a sinus infection with all the unpleasant symptoms and was hoping to get antibiotics prescribed quickly, as I’ve used MDLive for this purpose without issues in the past. Unfortunately, this time was different.
As many others have mentioned in their reviews, MDLive doctors won’t prescribe antibiotics if you’ve been sick for less than 14 days, which I find absurd. The thought of enduring another week of feeling this terrible, with the risk of it worsening into something more serious like meningitis, was unacceptable to me. Honestly, if these doctors were in my position, I doubt they’d wait 14 days without treatment themselves.
The next day, I saw my primary care doctor, got the antibiotics I needed, and already started feeling much better.
Moral of the story: MDLive will take your money, waste your time and will not give you the help/care you are seeking for. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
I thought it would be easier...it was not. Bad experience.
No clear instructions on how to join ahead of time. I tried to join and needed a seperate login (couldn't portal in) by the time I got it fixed, reset password, authenticator, etc my time had expired and they wouldn't give me a refund or a free next appointment so I could try the service again. Confusing interface and very poor customer service interaction.
Waste of time
Waste of time. Go to an urgent care if you can't get a quick appt with your Dr. Basically, you will not get antibiotics unless you tell them you have been sick for 14 days! I know the difference between a flu and a cold. I'm not going to be miserable for 14 days when an Antibiotic will clear it up in 2 days. Interesting that after the call I got an email with a summary - it specifically said to see your Dr. if symptoms don't improve in 48 hours...?? So the only way you can ever get antibiotics from MDLive is to ignore their recommendation to see your Dr. and wait 14 days. As I said, waste of time.
Terrible service
Terrible service. Pay $30 for a "doctor" to not listen to you, end the call after less than 3 minutes, and prescribe you allergy meds for a fever/cough. Don't bother with this.
Totally misleading and poor customer service
In a word? Brutal. Was linked to MDLIVE by Cigna on the app. Was told the copay would be $30. Wouldn't have ever paid above that as I have a smaller co-pay had I waited a day, but I was trying to be responsible and not wait. Paid the $30, got the barest, most minimal service imaginable. Then weeks later, got an email that I had an outstanding balance without ever telling me that I had a balance to begin with. Then spent 30 minutes on a phone call with a person who was very, very hard to understand and was clearly reading from scripts that explained nothing. Rep was clearly doing her best. This was on MDLIVE, not her. Don't even bother using this service. Even by American health insurance standards, this is miserable.
Charged me $63 to stop MDlive calling me
I was told they would help me find a Dr to see. I told them I didn’t need help finding someone to visit and thought I’d be speaking with a professional when I called.
Then Mdlive kept calling me back 6 times until I answered, I was told I had to give my birthday to stop the calls
I was charged $63 when I answered MDlive calling me and asked MDlive to stop calling me
