I appreciated that we could read bios of sitters and meet them in person prior to making a commitment, that pictures and short videos were included with each visit, and that Meowtel had the foresight to collect the necessary releases and approvals so that our vet could treat our cats if an emergency arose. Scary sitter makes us second guess ourselves
There is a kitty sitter who is so friendly. After one year my cats started getting sick. First one and two weeks later the other. I used a nanny cam and caught the sitter putting something in my cats food. She said it was an herb from her garden and she has been giving her cats the herb for years in California before she moved to northwest Las Vegas. Her friend I got in contact with said her cat got sick and after nine months got so bad he died. She is now unsure if there is any connection or it's jist a coincidence because the sitter was watching her cat during that time. I would expect they would screen their employees much better. Especially if they are dangers to living pets!! We will never use this company again of the lady in northwest Vegas!! We took our pets to the vet and we're waiting for all the rest of the test results. This woman is cunning and a good manipulator with her sweet innocent facsade. We are livid!!

I found the app very easy to use. Easy to research sitters in my area, make a reservation and communicate with the sitter. I especially liked the 'meet and greet' feature. My sitter Karen provided daily updates and photos, and although my cat was skittish, I knew he was being well cared for. Upon my return home, I booked my next reservation with Karen. Great experience. I was nervous about leaving my cats for a week but it worked out beautifully. My sitter suggested a meet n greet a few days prior to my departure. It made me very comfortable. I was able to explain and show my sitter everything they needed. I received photos each day which helped ease my mind that they were ok. I would use the service again without hesitation!

Meowtel is a great way to care for your cats when you are gone
Meowtel has a good web system, to make appointments with a cat sitter in your area. They also have very good customer support, if you have an issue with the web site. They insure their cat sitters and do due diligence in hiring them. I have liked the two cat sitters I have used through them, very much. They also provided a form about my vet that I gave to both my vet and to Meowtel, in case the cats are sick while I am gone. This makes me feel safer, in leaving my cats in their care. The cat sitter sends you a message, easily accessed, every time they come to feed your cat, empty litter boxes etc. It is nice to see that they are indeed there twice a day, every day.

I thought I would enjoy this experience sitting with Meowtel. I had a client contact me for a booking of many days with a start date between 24 hours of the booking. According to Meowtels cancellation contract "Cancelation within 24 hours of the start date": No refund will be issued for cancelations within 24 hours of the start date. The sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings. We appreciate your respect for your sitterâs time" Well unfortunately for me, they did not honor this at all, as the client just decided to stop communicating with Meowtel after booking and putting their credit card on file. Apparently contracts mean nothing to this company.
They also take 30% of my fees, and I do a free "meet and greet" which I dont get paid for.
They offer no ACH banking and you are forced to get your money through Paypal. In the end, some of the clients I have worked with are very nice, but the organziation really screwed me in the end.

My previous cat sitter (who lived below me) left for college in August and I was at a loss as to how to care for my Jazzy while traveling. Luckily I found Meowtel and the best of the best, Natalie. I have now had Natalie care for Jazzy 3 times, Labor Day Weekend, 5 days in October, and just recently. Along with her expert and excellent care of a very shy kitty, she was willing to extend her visits while I was stuck in Dallas for 2 extra days due to flight cancelations. Trust worthy, affordable
Company provides Cat and Dog sitters for people who are planning trips. They do background checks, provide insurance and are very thorough in having documentation signed and ready for emergency trips to Vets, God forbid, that becomes necessary. Extensive reviews are available for all potential sitters. Daisy, the young woman we hired to sit with our three cats twice a day. She feed them, refreshed water and cleaned out litter box. Wife and i were thrilled with her attention to our cats and she sent photos and short videos, she was absolutely terrific, and we will use her services in the future!
