I dislike every time I try to use it they lock it up on fraud alert , it’s an inconvenience. Especially embarrassment when your trying to make a purchase.

Fees too high they stink always getting emails and texts from you.

This card company is the worse company I have ever had. They charge way too much interest and when you pay the credit card off then they will slap you with interest charges. I would not recommend this card at all. Stay completely away from this company.

I just recently got a mercury credit card and only used it a couple times and for some reason without my knowledge they just froze my card and so when i went to use it declined my purchases. I had plenty of credit and bill wasn't due yet and when i called customer service to inquire about it, they never told me why they shut it off and I kept getting passed around I got transferred 4 times and was told it would take 7-10 days to remove a hold that took a few seconds to put on. I am cancelling this card they have very bad customer service and what's the use of having a credit card if you can't use it when u need it.

I've had this card for almost 10 years and use it often. I've never had an issue until tonight. I had to call the fraud department for some fraudulent charges on my account. It was late, and I didn't expect to actually speak with someone. Jamie, the representative I spoke with initially, answered on the first ring. She assessed my situation and stayed with me on the line until someone from the fraud department answered. They had my issue QUICKLY solved within 5 minutes. This is at 9pm PT. I have to emphasize Jamie, the representative I spoke with initially. I just felt very safe and cared for. I was important to her. I mattered, and it was a very comforting feeling. Thank you so much, Jamie! Mercury is a fortunate company to have you represent them. You are an asset to humanity, and a true blessing to me. Thank you all so much 💕

Mercury mailed me a "pre-approved" credit card offer. I applied in good faith for that offer. At some point in the process, Mercury decided to approve me for a much lower limit. No counteroffer. Nobody asked whether I accepted the new amount, and I never got the chance to say yes or no. The application turned straight into an open account on terms I never agreed to.

Now I also have a hard inquiry on my credit report. I agreed to a credit check for the offer in the envelope, not for this. I'd never have applied for a card at the limit they gave me.

I tried to cancel right away. The online registration page blinks and does nothing. From other reviews, the phones aren't answered either. Mercury made it effortless to get in and has given me no working way out.

I've been a Mercury customer for about ten minutes and I want nothing to do with them. I'm closing the account, withdrawing my consent to share my information, and will file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau CFPB (card issuers have to respond, and this is often the fastest way to get an unresponsive company to act) if this matter is not settled to my satisfaction.

If a Mercury "pre-approved" offer arrives in your mailbox, don't get hoodwinked like me, the amount in the envelope may not be what you get, you may not be asked before the terms change, and leaving may be much harder than signing up.

First, I do not have a Mercury Card. However, they call me 4-5 times a day, spoofing from different phone numbers each day. I never gave them my phone number to initiate unwanted marketing calls. I called them to remove my phone number and advised them my number is registered on the National Do Not Call Registry. They refused to remove my number after escalating my call two times.

Seeing fees and charges I did not make. I am trying to close and pay off the card via check. I can not get hold of their customer service on any of their phone numbers. It just hangs up as soon as I call in, and have tried multiple phones. They do not reply to email attempts either.
