So frustrated. I had to sign a contract the same afternoon. Needed to merge PDFs from our legal team... then send. The first merge stalled at 97%. Tried again... duplicate pages appeared. I fixed order twice... it reverted after saving. Timer ticking... hands shaking. Support article didn’t match the interface I saw. I finished the job... but only after exporting a messy version and re-uploading. Not what you want on a contract deadline.

Needed to compress reports for a client handoff. It broke my workflow. First compress looked fine. Second batch got blurry graphs. I upgraded to fix quality. Charged immediately. No clear invoice. Support bot. No human for two days. Deadlines passed. I canceled. Still charged next cycle. Refund link? Loop. I’m tired. I exported everything and moved on. Not coming back.

They totally respond super fast and really break things down well when you need help. Always there to sort stuff out!

Its a scam. They advertise 1 time payment of 0.1€, but charge your account every day for 10 cents. Luckily you can easily unsubscribe, but its easy to not notice. Beware

Just tried this online PDF tool and honestly, I was pretty disappointed. The features felt super limited for what I paid. The website promised a lot, but when I tried to compress my files, it just took forever and the quality came out worse than I expected. It’s like they’re focused on upselling instead of actually helping users.

I mean, for the price, I thought I’d get something robust. But it felt more like a free tool with lots of restrictions. I could only upload a certain number of files at once, and the processing time was just way too slow. It didn’t really meet my needs, and I found myself frustrated more than anything.

Ich habe am 28.02.2026 über "Metapdf" die Möglichkeit genutzt, um ein paar Dokumente in PDF Dokumente umzuwandeln. Dafür wurde ich mit 0,10€ per PayPal Zahlung belastet.

An dieser Stelle wurde nirgends darauf hingewiesen, dass diese Dienstleistung mit einem Abonnement von 49.90€ verbunden ist.

Es gibt keine Hinweise zum Abschluss eines Abos, auch nicht über die Höhe der Kosten eines Abos. Die Webseite von Metapdf hat kein Impressum.
Der Kontoinhaber bei Paypal, orange Sunshine LLC, ist im Netz nicht vorhanden.

Der Service wird zunächst kostenlos angeboten, danach wollen sie 0,10€ haben. Nach der Überweisung bekommt man am nächsten Tag eine Rechnung von 49,90€.
So betrügt das Unternehmen die Kunden.

Ich habe zu keiner Zeit einem Abonnement, in keiner Form zugestimmt und doch wurden 49.90€ durch PayPal abgebucht. Es ist schlicht und einfach illegal ist, was da betrieben wird.

Hilfsweise und vorsorglich habe ich bei "Metapdf" das mir unterstellte Abonnement widerrufen, weil alle Onlineabschlüsse, auch unterstellte Abschlüsse, eine Widerrufsfrist von 14 Tagen haben.an hat es regelrecht ignoriert und betont,an könnte ja kündigen.
Diese Kündigung aber betrifft nicht die ersten 49.90€, die sofort eingezogen wurden.

Der "Einspruch" bei PayPal hat letztendlich auch nichts gebracht, man hat mich zur Zahlung verpflichtet, eine Begründung gab es auch hier nicht.

DANKE an METAPDF und auch an PayPal für NICHTS und dass auch Sie diese Betrüger unterstützen.

Bin stinksauer!!!

Am nächsten Tag Abbuchung von 49,90EUR.

Fall an bekannten Zahlungsdienstleister gemeldet… Fall wurde abgelehnt.

Ich sag nur… im Leben bekommst man alles mal zurück… das wird auch bei den Betreibern dieser Scam-Seite so sein. Karma lässt grüßen.

Absoluter Betrug ! Habe dort auf der Website ohne mich zu registrieren oder persönliche Angaben zu hinterlegen ein PDF umgewandelt. Das hat ein paar Cent Gekostet welche ich mit Kreditkarte gezahlt habe. Seid dem wurde knapp 10 mal versucht ein Betrag von über 50€ ab zu buchen. Welches glücklicher Weise nicht gelang wegen zu geringer Deckung. Jetzt haben sie dann einfach 29,99 abgebucht. Habe den Fall gemeldet und meine Karte sperren lassen.

It is a scam i also was charged 49,90€ even they said i only need to pay 0,10€ to access for 48h but after thet secretary charged you 49,90€. No luck by contacting them will go to my bank to ask for help and maybe get my refund back

Absolute scam, there is no information for the subscription that you obviously get and there is a email robot that answers the refund messages with the usual nonsense. Never use it, never. I have contacted the European online authorities with that case and i expect to get ban of this scam in Europe as soon as possible.
