I know the guy was only doing his job, but I dislike the system of aggressive sales technique to get buyers to use a solicitor you recommend, so you can make some commission. To be fair, the guy wasn't unpleasant, but was persistent, and I felt bamboozled into agreeing, despite my concerns which I aired at the time. Unfortunately a quote i was given verbally was inaccurate, but as you wanted my money immediately, your now having to sort out what I hope is a full refund, so we can use our preferred and cheaper solicitors. To be honest, this has left an unpleasant taste in my mouth, im now apprehensive about having to deal with miles and barr for the sale, and won't be selling with this company when we sell our house next year. Its just too pushy, and not all estate agents do this, one we used in Sandwich certainly wasn't. . Your guy who showed us the flat twice was lovely though.

Although it went on for a lengthy amount of time, Emily Stickler re-assured is at every step. We called up almost every week and Emily was nothing but kind and polite in response, calling back if we didn't catch her by phone.
All the other staff also helped by letting us know what was happening (and reading Emily's notes)

Can’t praise and thank Louise enough for her help during our sale. She called me regularly with updates and was invaluable in keeping communication going between us, our buyer and both solicitors. Invaluable help, thank you Louise. Thanks also to the sales team.

Good experience selling our home with the deal branch. Luke H was great at communicating with us and keeping us informed and also Aimee during the viewing process. Jade the sales progressor also did a great job updating us and handling any concerns after the offer was accepted. After having challenging first buyers they went out of their way to get us a new better offer and see it through to exchange of contracts. I would use them again if I ever look to move again.

Emily stickler was our contact point for the purchase of our first home, she was great from start to finish and got involved when we needed her too chasing paperwork,solicitors.Emily also kept us up to date fully with the process week by week and we were able to complete in a month as no chain either side because of the fast efficient service she provided. She answered all our calls and questions promptly and was very professional and kind with us. This whole process was made stress free by Emily and we thank her for that....
Highly recommend Miles & Barr as an estate agents for their customer service, knowledge and friendly approach nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful with viewings and any extra information we needed being first time buyers. Maisie is our property manager and she’s absolutely great. Even when things are out of her control, she’s compassionate and responsive to us. Grateful for her making renting life easier.

Fin at Margate right from the start was prompt and professional with dealing with sale. He also has a very friendly and genuine manner about him which we warmed to from the start. We were updated throughout. All the viewings were arranged and we were given helpful feedback.
Louise at margate throughout the sale was keeping us updated with any progress. She was checking all the time with us and solicitors etc. She is so easy to deal with and approachable at all times and very professional too. Our experience overall was such a good one that we would not hesitate in recommending them.

We have used Herne Bay branch 3 times now and they go from strength to strength. Fantastic all round experience from valuation to completion. I must give a very special mention to Mel we would have never got to complete without her. She always made you feel like you was her only client. Finding time for us and supporting our buyers. Kim, from Miles and Barr was very quick and reactive to sort out a leak in my flat and even followed through by liaising with the building's managing agents. Great service.

Mel was great throughout the process, especially towards the end. When things started to get slow and tight, Mel really pushed the sale and purchase through, even working outside of her work hours.

Very helpful and knowledgeable

Miles and Barr were helpful along every step of the process, explaining the ins and outs of house buying and what we might expect to happen next. Mel was always available for us to chase up solicitors and answer any quick questions whilst Owen was really friendly and put our nerves at ease multiple times.

From the moment Harry came to meet us and market our house, the whole process has been seamless. Becky, our Sales Progressor, has been fantastic and kept us updated every step of the way.

Guiseppe has also been incredibly supportive, and every single person we have dealt with at the Ramsgate branch has been helpful, polite and professional.

We chose Miles &Barr to sell our two flats in Margate because they had taken over Oakwood homes whom we had previously used in the past.

Thankfully the person allocated to sell our properties and get us forward to buy a new home was Louise Daly.

Oh my word what a determined, approachable and 100% dedicated person she is.

We had a leasehold property to sell that became a nightmare dealing with management companies and building permissions etc , waiting forever for answers and responses .

Louise went above and beyond to get answers & responses constantly and worked so much harder and faster than either solicitors or conveyancing teams.

If it wasn't for Louise's dedication we would not have got our dream home.

She really cares and really understands your anxiety and frustration when things are taking too long and always goes the extra mile to sort it out.
