If I could give negative stars, I would. Mistoria has destroyed the structural integrity of my home, with their horrendous workmanship and lack of regard for neighbours. I am in a far worse position now than before Mistoria bought the property neighbouring my home. It was a 2 bed family home. Not anymore, now it's a failed HMO with a semi-destroyed extension and 3 bathrooms, being disguised as a "FAMILY HOME". This company should cease to exist. No amount of name changes will relieve the people you've burdened. If you or anyone you know has had issues with this company, please, do not stay quiet.

We had an excellent experience working with Mistoria Liverpool estate agents from start to finish, specifically Dave Thompson. He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to achieving the best outcome for us. Communication was always clear and timely, and he kept us informed at every stage of the process.

The process was smooth and Rachel was so great. She made everything really easy from start to finish. She responded to my questions promptly and was really friendly.

This company are completely unethical and do not care about tenants in their rentals. My daughter and her friend have had a dreadful time at their property rented through Student-Haus/Mistoria Group in Salford. The house is adorable, and on a lovely street, but sadly, the Mistoria Group are very unprofessional, and just out to make money, with complete disregard for tenants' comfort, safety and well-being. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Sarah and her team have done a brilliant job in managing g my property through two tenant renewals. Highly recommended.

Happy to take your money and spend it on himself going to cricket, rugby, concerts, trips abroad. But when it comes to repairing and managing properties? Forget it, thats just too much effort.

But if they do manage to drag someone around to your rental its someone clearly not qualified or capable to speak English either. Then the work is very poor standard and will guarantee you wont last long either.

Try to get them back to fix? Good luck. Wont happen as they have sent a 'man' to repair and its all fixed. Not.

Staffs are just rude and renters are just a source of incomes for them. How dare we complain.

Student pays Solicitor to Recover £1,750

Google reveals the rest:
"A Salford student paid a solicitor to help retrieve her and her flatmates £1,750 deposit after facing "ridiculous” claims from the landlord."

A Student Haus, part of Mistoria Estate Agents group, spokesperson [laughingly] commented: “Tenants’ wellbeing is always a top priority at Student Haus. We provide high quality services to our tenants and aim to build longstanding relationships with them. To hear that one of our ex-tenants felt differently is naturally disappointing for us."

Or rather, we've been caught out so here are some platitudes.

Well, the truth is now beginning to come thick and fast about these people, all stemming from the chief grifter himself, who enjoys a high life at the expense and misery of others, not bothered at all at how unsafe the properties his companies manage are.

Grifters, the most appropriate description for them. Con-artists, swindlers, scammers who rely on, manipulation, or trickery rather than honest work. Spreading misery across Manchester, Salford, Bolton and Liverpool viewing students as nothing more than gullible income, churning over year after year.

Just so you know who you are dealing with take a look at their website and the rogues gallery.

Google will reveal even more about their behaviour and attitude towards people and how they conduct their business. You can guarantee not every student or tenant has bothered to report them too.

They do not even deserve the 1 star but that is a requirement in order to review. They should not be allowed to operate with such total disregard of safety and other standards.

consider Mistoria as a very poor company who have limited understanding of what they are supposed to provide for the tenant and the landlord.
The property had no Carbon Monoxide alarm for the gas boiler in the kitchen - a legal requirement since 2020 & a Max Fine for the Landlord of £5000 for not having one.
It took over two months for one to be provided.
Other Faults wern't dealt with including an electrician who was supposed to PAT test appliances but didnt. A fire door fitted incorrectly with gaps left in the frame ! Trades not turning up for appointments.
All of which were reported but nothing actioned.

Trying to get the deposit back after the rental period was miscalculated and then once corrected has still not been paid back.

This Bunch of grifters are taking advantage of students. If you are considering renting in SALFORD check other agencies and ask around.

I’ve rented a property through Mistoria (Little Lever Branch) for over 5 years, but the past 4/5 months have been beyond frustrating. I first raised multiple serious maintenance issues back in February — it's now June, nearly July, and not a single one has been resolved.

Despite multiple emails and polite follow-ups, I've been ignored repeatedly. Communication has been awful — I’ve had to chase them almost weekly, only to be met with vague promises or complete silence.

The issues I’ve flagged include:

Damp and possible leaks inside the house (which is now causing a noticeable smell and could damage the property long-term),

Cloudy hot water, which seems like a potential health hazard,

Fences blown down months ago, leaving the property unsecured — and still no contact from the contractor.

Back on June 3rd, I was told the landlord was happy to go ahead with repairs. I followed up on June 4th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 18th... and still, nothing has happened.

I’ve been more than patient. These are not cosmetic issues — they are basic living conditions and safety concerns.

If you’re considering renting from Mistoria, think twice. They might be quick to take your rent, but when it comes to fulfilling their responsibilities as a letting agent, they’re nowhere to be found.

This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I’ve had as a tenant — and after 5 years with them, I honestly expected better.

Avoid at all costs.

Sale was handled well by Stephen. Very open and honest. He went above and beyond for the seller and myself the purchaser. All problems which where down to third parties where chased up by him well and he was very helpful in arranging our move. Would recommend to anyone.

Dealing with Mistoria for awhile now and they made the entire process of letting my property seamless. Their staff provided excellent advice on market rent/availability in my area, and what needed to be done to property to attract high-quality tenants and they updated me regularly throughout the search for suitable tenants. Within a very short time, they found me tenants who seem to be perfect for my property.

Sarah has been so helpful. We are both young and don’t have much experience with moving and she was super efficient and clear with answering our questions. This has made the moving as easy as you could probably hope for.

I had lots Of difficulties over the last few years with renting my property , as I live in Hungary, And couldn’t find a reliable team to help me. I lost lots Of money while being with another team as they left my flat empty for months, as weren’t able to find a tenant.
