I was disappointed with the service I received from MJV. My onboarding was completed in mid‑May and everything appeared to be progressing normally, but weeks later — after searches were ordered, enquiries were raised, and all of my documents were submitted — I was suddenly told there was a conflict of interest and the firm could no longer act for me.

This should have been identified at the very beginning, not after significant work had already been carried out. The late notification caused avoidable delay and meant I had to find a new solicitor at short notice and go through the entire onboarding process again, which was stressful and completely unnecessary.

I hope MJV reviews their internal processes so future clients don’t experience the same disruption.

I recently moved house and used The Square Room estate agents in Cleveleys. They recommended a couple of solicitors to use for my legal conveyancing and MJV solicitors replied to me very quickly which impressed me at the outset.
From the beginning they were transparent about their work and their prices. They contacted me in a timely and relevant manner throughout my sale and purchase.
I realised their superior efficiency as the process continued and other solicitors further down the chain were being obstructive and uncommunicative. This caused unnecessary delays and stress but Jane Willacey at MJV kept her eye on the ball and always gave me updates and hope.
Nothing was too much trouble and everything went well in the end. I would highly recommend MJV solicitors for any legal work and would use them again without hesitation. They made a stressful life change very smooth.
