I was skeptical at first. But the domain scoring showed exactly where we were weak such as leadership and management. Focused our whole team on that for three weeks. Inspector barely challenged us on it. Would highly highly recommend anyone to implement this as a part of their induction/training on a monthly basis or even appraisal!

I’ve been using the MockOfsted app to prepare for my Ofsted interview, and it has been incredibly helpful. The scenarios feel realistic and closely reflect the types of questions asked during inspections. It’s really helped me think more critically and structure my answers with confidence, especially around safeguarding and leadership. I would definitely recommend it to anyone preparing for Ofsted.

It calls things out properly - no sugar coating.
It’s quite direct, but that’s what makes it effective. The feedback clearly explained where my answer would be judged as Requires Improvement and linked it to real inspection expectations. It also pointed out the risk, not just the mistake. That gave it more weight and made it feel realistic rather than just practice.

As a Responsible Individual overseeing children’s services, I found MockOfsted to be a useful and practical tool for inspection preparation.

The platform provides structured, Ofsted-style questioning aligned with the Social Care Common Inspection Framework, allowing managers and staff to test their knowledge and confidence in a safe environment. The instant feedback and grading system is particularly helpful in identifying gaps in safeguarding, leadership, and regulatory understanding.

From a governance perspective, it offers added value by highlighting patterns across teams, which supports oversight and targeted development planning ahead of inspection.

However, it is important to recognise that this tool assesses how well staff articulate their practice rather than evidencing the quality of care being delivered. It should therefore be used alongside robust quality assurance processes such as audits, Regulation 44 visits, and direct practice observations.

Overall, I would recommend MockOfsted as a supplementary training and inspection-readiness tool, particularly for developing managers and preparing teams for inspection, but not as a standalone measure of service quality

The layout and the mock in general make it a useful tool to prepare for Ofsted. This is great work.

This has been really useful for Ofsted preparation. It gives realistic questions and helpful feedback that makes you think about your answers clearly. This is one platform every professional in a children or support home could benefit from, especially when preparing for an inspection.
