Absolutely unacceptable after-sales service and absurd return policy.

I purchased a bottle from TMB ModularBottle expecting at least the same quality as a previous smaller version I had bought before. What I received was clearly inferior: the lid spins loosely without functioning properly, and the overall construction feels cheap, flimsy, and overly plastic-like.

When I contacted customer service to report the poor quality of the product, their “solution” was outrageous: either accept only a 50% refund, or return the item to the United States at my own expense for a full refund. In practice, the international return shipping cost is so high that it makes the supposed full refund almost meaningless.

So let’s be clear: if you receive a poor-quality product, you may be left with two terrible options — lose half your money, or spend an unreasonable amount just to send it back overseas.

This is not a serious way to handle a legitimate quality complaint. A return policy like this is unfair in practice and completely unfriendly to international customers.

Buyers should think very carefully before ordering from this company, because the real issue is not only the product quality, but how the company behaves when something goes wrong.

I love it - what i like most is the fact that i can clean it properly as all parts are removable. also looks great

I wanted to say, i’ve tried a lot of bottles and definitely this is my favorite one by far! It’s genius, love how it adapts to every type of drink. I also like that i can place the small infuser inside when i have ice in it and it would keep the ice from falling when drinking! Also it’s actually easy to clean, i basically have just two parts to clean ( the glass and the drinking top) , and it cleans properly in the dishwasher. Congrats to the team

Ich kann wirklich von diesen Flaschen abraten. Ich habe 2 gekauft, weil ich anfangs total gehypet war. Die 1. Flasche kam mit gebrochenem Glas an, die 2. zunächst gar nicht. Nach Kontakt mit dem Support wurde ein Ersatzglas für die 1. und dann die 2. Flasche geschickt. Das Konzept ist eig total cool, wenn ich nicht nur über Nachteile berichten könnte:

Die Einzelteile der Flasche sind nicht von hoher Qualität, es ist Alles aus einfachem Plastik. Alle Teile haben einen unguten Geruch, selbst nach mehrmaligem waschen (sogar nach einem Geschirrspülgang).

Viele Teile quietschen ohrenbetäubend laut beim zusammendrehen und lassen sich teils nur sehr schwer anbringen.

Ich bin so enttäuscht davon. Der Support war zumindest freundlich, aber das kann ein mangelhaftes Produkt leider auch nicht retten.

Keine Empfehlung!!!

Excellent product was very happy with it, then I accidentally knocked the glass section over during cleaning and it smashed. I contacted the team and had a complimentary replacement with me within a week. Thank you

Early kickstarter Customer loving the product but one feature is missing considering what is out on the market currently. You should create a magnetic top with a ring so you can attach your cell phone to your bottle. Looking forward to see what to come up with next

Bottles definitely have style and the glass interiors maintain the fresh taste. We did the 3 combo bottle deal and sadly 1 came out of the box with issues likely due to the carrier dropping and that one took the brunt of the fall. TMB replaced our imperfect one from cracks with a brand new one. That is some great customer service. Ice maintains drink very well and never sweats due to the spacing between the glass and outside plastic. Overall, I use this for general use and gym use, but just be careful at the gym not to kick it as the glass could break. Overall, love this bottle and hope to get a long use out of them.

Just love that bottle, Using it at work in the extended version. Glas inside never broke even after a drop. Actually the plastic top broke but the customer service is very very helpful. Thanks for that. Just recommend that bottle. Sometimes I switch the lit... but to be honest rarely. Love the sport bottle lit and the industrial design cross lit. Thanks To FLA in customer service for taking care of me.

I have had my TMB since the first set of shipments after kickstarter was funded, since it has been nothing but a blessing to have at each new adventure. It’s survived Puerto Rican waves to the Chicago winter and now Floridian Springs! All of which wouldn’t be possible without an amazing support center who are present and extremely helpful. Can’t wait to see what else will be released from this team!

Ordered 2 bottles, the delivery was not the quickest, but totally ok and could be tracked. One of the glass insert bottles was broken, I got in touch with the customer support and they sent replacement without further questions.
Now we are using both of the bottles, they look great and function as expected - very well.

I ordered a bottle from the website and my point is not the customer service that was bad. The modular cap just didnt come of when I wanted to take it of for the first time. After using rubber gloves and a lot of force the cap came off. Used the bottle like 3 times and literally the same problem happened. After screwing the the same modular ring back on with not much force at all the cap just refused to come of. I have tried everything, even using tools to get the cap off but it just was stuck again. Broke the bottle trying to get the ring off. Terrible product

For starters, this is the coolest looking water bottle I’ve ever own or seen, and I’ve had many. It’s also great how you can get such a wide variety of caps and other attachments from diffusers to metal straws and more. The bottle is awesome… and the customer service was second to none. Not only did the respond to my email quickly, they were extremely helpful in fixing a problem that wasn’t even their fault. I’m very pleased with The Modular Bottle as a product, AND as a company.

The bottle is a quality build and has as advertised replaced all my other bottles.

My only criticism is that i can't buy the extension for the 500ml bottle to make it 700ml. Being modular i would.have expected the ability to mix and match.

Maybe something to think about.

My advise till this chances is to go for the 700ml version. No regrets!

Rolled the dice on this company because the bottle looked neat, unfortunately the other reviews are correct, the customer service is the worst I've ever seen. Zero communication and no progress on my order, even after reaching out to them asking for help.
Can't speak to the quality of the product of course, but I definitely don't want to deal with them again.

TMB bottle is the best bottle I ever seen, but unfortunately this company got the worst management and customer service department. Either the owner or manager is not a business type person.
I start paying since the first day they came out on Kickstarter, I purchased 3 bottles bundle, and until this day it never arrives, I emailed and they said they will get investigated into this but never have any answer and never email me back anymore.

Last week I purchased 3 bundles again due to the discount for Boxing Day, I received 3 bottles FINALLY, but one bottle is super loose, I emailed them at the first moment I opened the box. After 4 days (96 hrs) present, I still not received any email answer back. I even emailed again to say that I have no harmful message, I use thank you and hello and beginning and all the polite words to make sure they dont feel aggressive.
But im so disappointed.

so, with $275.54, many years, I got 2 bottles.
I never have such bad experiences on online purchasing.

I ordered the Ultra Pack from TMB ModularBottle (Order #TMB26201). While the bottle itself is well designed and looks great, my experience with customer service has been extremely disappointing.

My order arrived missing items that were explicitly included in the Ultra Pack (a straw kit and flat cap). After contacting support, I was repeatedly promised replacements, tracking numbers, and follow-ups. Over the course of several months, I received none of the promised items, no confirmed shipment, and no resolution.

At one point I was told parts could not be shipped to my region, despite earlier confirmations that they would be sent. I was then offered a “complimentary” replacement bottle—but only if I paid shipping, which makes little sense given that the issue was caused by an incomplete original order.

Communication was slow, inconsistent, and ultimately unproductive. Commitments were made and not honored. Even reimbursement for the missing items was never completed.

This is particularly frustrating because the product itself is genuinely good. Unfortunately, poor after-sales support and failure to resolve a straightforward issue make it impossible for me to recommend this company.

This bottle struggles to get the basics right beyond its aesthetic look, making the price point absolutely absurd.

The bottle is comprised of many parts which make washing it a pain. Refilling it is a needlessly frustrating process as the detachable top section is tricky to line up with the notch on the internal part that fits into the glass inner bottle. This is something you'll have to do regularly because the bottle is so tall that simply taking the cap off doesn't always leave enough room for the bottle to fit underneath whatever you're refilling it with (e.g. a fridge tap).

And all this inconvenience and money for... 750ml? Yeah, no. Even on sale this product simply isn't worth it in my opinion on the sole basis that it does not make your life any easier (quite the opposite) nor does it add much value over a regular glass or stainless steel bottle beyond the flashy design. Now mine seems to be leaking too!

I really do appreciate its good looks and I wish I could find this bottle to be more usable, but it seems to always want to work against me. The worst part? It discourages me from drinking more water when I'm using it as my main bottle, and THAT is enough for me to say that it has failed in my eyes.

A regretful purchase.

The bottle feels quite cheap, definitely not worth the 130$ price tag. I have the 700ml variant and its very large, way bigger than bottles of similar volume. The assembly is also not easy. You have to align the top plastic part with the actual mouthpiece, pull the mouthpiece upwards, because just leaving it in the outer shell makes it impossible to align the top plastic, while holding the whole thing together and screw it downward. Easy this is not, so much so that i just don't want to bother with it most times. The sealing rings are not attached to any part of the bottle, so they will fall out while disassembling. For 130$ i would have expected them to be attached, inside a grove in the plastic or something.
The bottle looks nice. If they make the assembly easier in a next version i might buy it if the top part can be bought separately and is compatible with version 1.0, mainly to get a usable bottle and not have completely wasted my money.
Can not recommend this bottle to be honest, if it was 20$ maybe, but even then the headache each time filling it up, you would end up with a 20$ paperweight.

I had high hopes. When unpacking I noted the very flimsy plastic, the unpractical assembly and was concerned. I asked for refund which was offered, but shipping to Canada is expensive from Europe. I tried the bottle out. The glass broke in first week as virtually no side impact buffering inside plastic. Overall this is a terrible bottle, poorly designed and overcomplicated. DO NOT BUY.
