Drivers are rude, head office don't seem to know what's going on outside their yard. Rubbish and recycling gets left, collection days change on a whim and every person that gets spoken to is less the helpful. Awful company

Drivers are great along with Lucy from the office. However the guy who answers the phone in the office through the main number his customer service manner is completely unacceptable, unhelpful, abrupt and cannot wait to get you off the phone. This is surprising particularly when you consider the company relies on repeat business. I have now moved supplier for this reason alone.

The company (who had no contact with our business whatsoever) came onto our land and stole £900 worth of goods.

We tried to deal with it with the company but they attempted to blame us for their wrongdoing.

We have now issued a notice before action and will be taking the company to the small claims court to recover our losses.

I’d advise anyone to steer well clear!

Absolutely terrible waste management company.

We recently switched our recycling and general waste from our local council to Mountain after a very positive initial conversation with their sales team. Unfortunately, the positives ended there.

Almost immediately, we began receiving overcharge invoices for our recycling. While we recycle varying volumes - including some heavier items - at no point was it explained that weight limits applied, or that exceeding them would result in additional charges. The only overcharge policy we were made aware of related to overweight general waste. What's more, the weights that we were being quoted were the equivalent of about 6 months' worth of recycling, not 1 month. They are clearly making it up as they go along to extort more money from the companies they are servicing.

To make matters worse, one of Mountain’s own drivers told my team that a large proportion of our recycling ends up in landfill. Given the unexplained overcharges, which would typically relate to general waste but applied to recycling, this raised serious concerns, which I asked the company to address. Despite repeated requests, I received no reassurance or clarification, which only reinforced my suspicion that what the driver said was true.

On top of this, the invoicing itself was inaccurate and inconsistent. The charges per kilo did not match the rates agreed in our contract (and again, should not have been applied at all), and the company frequently referenced conflicting measurement units. This gave the clear impression that the numbers were being manipulated.

Overall, our experience has been thoroughly unsatisfactory. I have emailed multiple members of their team, including senior management, on several occasions and have yet to receive a single reply.

Avoid at all costs.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This company is a disaster. Completely unprofessional and disorganized—they’ll spin any excuse imaginable to justify why your bins haven’t been removed. If you’re looking for reliable service or even basic accountability, look elsewhere. Save yourself the frustration.
Based on all the reviews on Google and every other site it seems it’s the same story across the board.

A lorry from this company sent some debris out of the back of the lorry which struck my car. Managed to get the driver to stop he was extremely rude with a belligerent attitude.
Rang and spoke to a Manager who refused to take any responsibility for the situation and accused me of lying about the whole situation.
Shambles of a company avoid doing business with them at all costs

Terrible service. Constant missed collections and changing of collection days without notification leading to more missed collection they still want payment for.

Mountain Recycling displays unprofessional and immature behavior. Each staff member's email signature includes cartoon characters of themselves dressed as superheroes. While this may be appropriate for a nursery school, it is certainly not a professional approach. Furthermore, I have yet to encounter a competent staff member during my interactions with them.

In addition to their lack of professionalism, Mountain Recycling frequently alters collection dates, causing disruptions to customers' schedules. They have even stated in writing that they do not have a Head Office address, despite the fact that this information can be easily found on Companies House.

Furthermore, I experienced an attempted theft from Mountain Recycling when they falsely claimed that my bin was overweight. After questioning this accusation, rather than offering an apology, they attributed the error to a new driver. When I requested reimbursement for the overcharged amount, they refused to comply.

It is advisable to avoid engaging with these fraudulent individuals.

Mountain Recycling collect our waste, or more to the point only when they can be bothered to turn up. The collection is so hit and miss and recently they have been turning up on the wrong day when we are closed. I have a general waste bin and a recycling bin, but they just bung it in the same lorry, so why am I paying for 2 bins when I only need one. I am now fed up with their poor service and I can not recommend them. UPDATE: 5 months after the end of the contract they have still not collected their wheelie bins.

Jason gave us good advice we have had no problems with our collections so far.

I signed 2 contract by Jason who offer me cheaper and said the rolling contract is one month. So last 3 month I've been charged 3 time more then my old one.
When try to cancel they say I have to pay for all year before I leave.
Such as legal scummer.

Michael approached us to talk about the trade waste collections. He was professional and informative, well priced and fast to act. We have been over promised and under serviced previously with a number of waste companies yet Michael has managed to do everything promised. No trash talk. Happy to say its a 5 star review

Very well. Very helpfull in trying to solve our issues with getting the waste collection sorted. Due to some issues with our property location there were issues with getting the collection set up and not only were they very patient whilst we discussed this with the company managing the property, but also made sure that the solution worked with the local contractor. 🤲🏻🤲🏻🤲🏻Also collector very friendly always smiles in his face 🤲🏻🤲🏻🤲🏻 well done .

I've recently switched to Mountain Recycling and it's the best decision I've made! Our rep, Michael, was so friendly and knowledgeable and gave me a really clear and competitive quote. Pricing is better than what I was paying prior!
The collections are reliable and customer service are easy to get hold of.
I just need to add the bin lock is brilliant (yes, I need to get out more 😁), other bins have a flimsy lever lock that never works properly but these have a click lock that works perfectly.

We recently changed to Mountain as our waste and recycling partner and I have to say that the process was explained very well and the arrival of our new containers was quick. I like the positive attitude of the company and hopefully this will continue. Our first collection isn't for a few days yet but if that goes as well as setting up the contract then we are looking forward to a long relationship with Mountain.

Excellent customer services from the get go, Salesman friendly, polite and informative, supported with any questions that we had and most important pricing is competitive and saved us money, the service received on a weekly basis is second to none bins are emptied before the business opens. Happy we switched service provider.

Collections made exactly as agreed. The costs being charged are a fraction of any other companies. Excellent service. 100% recommendation.
