Very bad and disappointing experience with MSG91.
They pushed me to recharge a minimum of â¹5,000, promising they would credit double SMS credits for the first-time recharge. But even after waiting 3 days, they credited only 1,000 credits, which was completely different from what was promised.
At first, my API was manually approved. I used the API only for signup phone verification, and my usage was extremely limitedâjust a few test messages and only two real user signups.
After about one month, their team started calling me, sending SMS, and emailing me, claiming that all my SMS credits were finished and pressuring me to recharge againâdespite the fact that I had barely used the API. When I asked what happened, they told me the credits were used from a Philippines IP/location. On most other SMS platforms, suspicious activity like this is prevented (for example, if too many SMS/OTP requests happen in a short time, the system blocks the IP or triggers security protection). With MSG91, there seemed to be no prevention, and my credits were drained without proper safeguards. As a customer, this made me feel completely unprotectedâand honestly, it looks like my credits were taken unfairly.
Instead of properly resolving the issue, I kept getting repeated follow-ups asking me to recharge again. This feels misleading, unethical, and unprofessional.
I am totally disappointed and strongly advise others to be very cautious before using MSG91.
