I took a free trial with this company, and cancelled before the trial was over, having watched a whopping three movies. They offered a longer trial, or a reduced rate to continue subscribing, I refused and cancelled. Their system "accidentally" kept charging me for 8 months, totaling $135.92. When notified, they claimed I didn't cancel and offered a measly two payment refund. A quick Google search will show that this "mistake" happens dozens upon dozens of times. It's baked in to their system, as they know most people won't catch the debits right away (me), and of those that do, some won't contest it (not me). Thankfully my bank takes fraud like this seriously, so I'll be getting my refund through them, but this company cannot be trusted. Avoid at all costs.

During the second step of canceling the subscription, you will be greeted by a white screen and you will not be able to terminate the subscription.

Absolutely appalling customer service... you contact MUBI and they just don't reply to your e-mails. They have no means to contact them by phone. They are a disgrace. Be very aware that they do not take any interest in their customer base, once someone has taken out a subscription.... they then just leave you to hang if you have any problems whatsoever.

Der Jahresbeitrag wurde mir zweimal am Jahresende in Rechnung gestellt. Ich habe es dieses Jahr bemerkt, als das Geld automatisch abgebucht wurde. Ich konnte die Mitgliedschaft nicht einmal kündigen. Ich will die Mitgliedschaft in keiner Weise. Ich will eine Rückerstattung.

I pay every month and i can lock in at my account but your site say i dont have a subscription. I have try to reset my code but i dont get an email back from you. i get monthly updates from mubi so you have my mail. Mubi draw 13,27 euro from my account every month.
What is wrong?
This is second message i write you. The first one was 5 days ago.
I love your collection but as long you do not respond to my request i can not give you five stars.

Please don’t join them. I started a 7 day trial and ended up canceling it later that same day. Was not interested in the movies they showed. They had the nerve to charge me for the next month. Despite emails sent to them, thet ignored me. Don’t join. Impossible to cancel

Falsk markedsføring. Mubi påstår at de har filmen "City of Joel", men efter at have betalt viser det sig at Mubi bestemt ikke har filmen. Spild af tid.

Så vidt jeg ved er falsk markedsføring ulovligt i Danmark, og under alle omstændigheder er det for dumt at forsøge på at narre potentielle kunder på denne måde ved at annoncere med film som de ikke har. Det giver et dårligt førstehåndindtryk og vil formentlig skræmme de fleste potentielle kunder væk.

Offered me a free trial. Went to cancel to ensure I won't get charged at the end of the trial and guess what... My trial has finished haha what a joke of a company. Every decent company will let you watch until the end of your trial. One big con.

Impossible to cancel subscription. I submitted request to cancel (no option in application) but no response for a week. The reason for cancelling- no movies available. Some rubbish content taken from the web

Modifico molto volentieri la mia recensione negativa, mi è stato rinnovato per errore l'abbonamento che avevo disdetto nei termini e non mi rispondevano tramite la chat sul sito.
Ho trovato un altro indirizzo mail, ho scritto e mi hanno risposto in giornata, scusandosi per l'errore. Dopo un paio di giorno ho anche ricevuto l'accredito dell'importo prelevato per errore.

Achtung! Abofalle. Ich habe Mubi kurz angeschaut, dann gleich wieder gekündigt. Trotzdem wurden mir 7 Tage später plötzlich eine Jahresabogebühr verrechnet. Was soll das?
Update: ich habe an Mubi geschrieben und das Geld zurück bekommen.

Probeabo weg. Leider sind die 7 Tage sofort weg wenn man direkt kündigt. Okay, dann eben gar nicht...

Me suscribí con toda la ilusión y mi decepción es total. Tienen un catálogo muy bueno de películas, pero de la mayoría lo único que podréis ver es el tráiler; para mí eso es engañar. Se supone que esas películas estarán disponibles en algún momento, no lo sé, la plataforma es confusa y tampoco explican nada. Todavía no he podido ver ni una película, todas las que me interesan no están disponibles (pero sí en su catálogo).
Mi consejo es suscribirse un único mes para probar, yo he cancelado ya mi cuenta.

ACTUALIZACIÓN: El servicio de atención al cliente me dice que MUBI, además de plataforma de streaming, quiere ser una base de datos de películas, por eso tienen en su web películas sólo con el tráiler, pero que no están ni van a estar disponibles. A mí me parece muy engañoso.
