Didn’t think I needed this, to be honest. Bought it more like “ok let’s see what this is”.Now I just take it with me every time.
It doesn’t make you faster or anything, but it makes swimming way less boring. I just stay in the water longer without thinking about it. Anyway, if you swim regularly, it’s actually worth it. Not a must-have, but once you get used to it, you don’t really want to go back.

Was honestly skeptical before buying SONR Music, I’ve used a few waterproof audio devices before and most of them either sounded bad underwater or became uncomfortable pretty quickly.

This one actually surprised me.

The biggest thing is how easy it is to forget you’re even wearing it. No pressure, no irritation, nothing distracting. I was doing laps and at some point completely stopped noticing it.

And yeah, that led to a slightly stupid moment. I took off my swim cap after the session and ended up dropping the device on the poolside because I didn’t even feel it on me. Not great, but also shows how lightweight and unnoticeable it is.

Sound underwater is much better than I expected. It’s clear enough to actually enjoy music or a podcast, not just background noise. Above water it’s fine too, but I mainly use it for swimming.

It also stays in place really well, no shifting when pushing off the wall or during turns, which was something I was worried about.

There’s a small adjustment period if you’ve never used bone conduction before, but after a couple of sessions it feels completely natural.

Overall really happy with it. Not perfect, but definitely one of the better swimming audio devices I’ve tried.

I swim 3–4 times a week and honestly got tired of just staring at the line at the bottom of the pool. This made a bigger difference than I expected. I usually load a couple of albums before going in and just zone out while swimming. The sound isn’t like normal headphones, but you stop noticing it after a few minutes. What matters is that it actually makes long sessions way more enjoyable.

Used it a few times already. Sound is clear enough underwater and it stays in place. Took one session to get used to it, now I don’t swim without it.

Very disappointed that the highest volume setting was insufficient for hearing music. Another aggravation was getting unit paired, connected & ready to go…carefully placed it under swim cap with music playing…once in position, music stopped! Finally gave up!!!
Perhaps other swimmers have had success listening!!! Too big a hassle for me!

I bought SONR Music mainly to listen to music during swim training, and I honestly love it. Swimming with music completely changes the experience. Training feels less boring, more motivating, and time in the pool goes much faster. The sound is clear underwater, the device stays in place, and it doesn’t get in the way while swimming. I now use SONR Music on almost every swim session. Once you get used to training with music, it’s hard to go back to swimming without it. For me, it’s become a must-have for pool workouts. All the people around see it and ask what it is :)

The product does not match what is shown in the promotional videos. The performance and sound quality are far below what is advertised, which makes the marketing feel misleading.
Customer support was slow and unhelpful, and getting clear information about the return procedure was unnecessarily difficult. The process lacks transparency and feels designed to discourage returns rather than help customers.
Overall, disappointing experience with both the product and after-sales service. I would not recommend this brand based on my experience.

I bought two of them this summer, for me and my sister and we were both impressed by the product. The device floats, sits comfortably under the swimming cap and you can really hear the music clearly even under the water. The battery lasts longer than I expected and the clamp seems really solid. A small device but very powerful which transformed my swimming experience. I have been using it since then and love it!

Initial Review Below but...

I bought a SONR late last year and it didn't work. I wrote a very bad (but honest at the time) review as it seemed the company wasn't interested - I should have been a bit more patient!

Since then, the company has been in constant contact trying to resolve the issue and I'm very pleased to say they have been nothing short of brilliant!

I'm not sure how the SONR is going to work but the customer service has been amazing!

(Original review for context) - Seriously not impressed with this company! My device arrived about 10 days ago, I fully charged it and tried to connect it to my PC to download my music. The PC detected a device but the SONR wasn't recognised by the PC or the app. I conntact the support who replied very quickly and was advised to try 'adjusting the connector' which was one of the first things I did and contact them again if that didn't work.

It didn't work and now, 5 days later, I've not heard from them again. I will endevour to get a refund.

There are only two volume options ( middle and loud) and no shuffle.
I will stick to the one from SHOKZ.

It changed my swim sessions completely. Before I used to get bored in the pool but now I can easily do a full workout without even noticing how much time has passed.
The fit is super comfortable. I was worried it might slip or feel awkward under my cap, but it stays put the whole time. It’s also fully waterproof, and I haven’t had any issues with leaks or connectivity. Uploading music was easy, and it holds more than enough songs for long swims.
Overall, I’d recommend sonr music to any swimmer or triathlete. It really takes away the monotony of lap swimming.

This device is on another level... The sound is loud and clear and I love that there are no wires getting in the way. The battery lasts through my workouts.

Worked for about a month and then stoppped working their customer service is utterly useless and mainly ghost you and dont come back. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

I firmly believe the products you buy are only as good as the customer service you receive if you need help. SonR customer service is excellent. Always prompt and extremely helpful.

SonR music device is a really good device, it works using bone technology. The best part is it fits under your hat or on your goggles.

You have to download music from a computer and the battery life is about 2hrs which is ok for pool swims but not so good for longer outdoor swims. Hence I have dropped a star for this model.

But if you need extra battery power they have a newer model coming out with many improvements which is worth a look.
I have ordered one of these myself because I do a lot of long distance swims outdoors.

It took forever to arrive once it came it did not work. Customer service was slow at best. Now I want to return it for a refund and I

UPDATE: I have now received a replacement device which is working. The company did eventually come through with great customer service and apologized for the problems and lack of help
I am changing my review because despite having to file a dispute with my Credit Card company and multiple unanswered emails, they eventually came through with a working device and that is what I wanted all along

SONR is the best ever underwater musicplayer. Its so comfortable, no need to struggle with wires and earplugs. I just put it under my swimming cap and the music is on...the sound is perfect while swimming.
SONR customer service is an extra bonus by dealing
any problem quick and with a lot of attention and helpfulness.

This device was returned and the process exceeded my expectations. The SONR volume was insufficient to overcome my hearing challenges. The response time to my emails was great, and the refund process was perfect. Pleasantly surprised!

Device was exactly as described. I had been using a different device which had wires and the wires tended to fray and break over time so hopefully the Sonr with no wires won't have those the of problems. I swim a mile in pool five days a week so need something to accompany me on my journey through the water. I misread the instructions and got on to the Sonr support who were very prompt and helpful with their replies meaning that I was all sorted in no time at all.

Really enjoying this great little gadget. I swim most days and this has improved my enjoyment of my swimming and also a small improvement on my speed. I hadn't read the spec properly and didn't realise the bluetooth wouldn't work in water, bit daft I know. Anyhows hasn't spoilt my enjoyment of this speaker.
