DJ Deven Musiq was phenomenal for our Hindu wedding music and Latin/Indian fusion reception and I couldn't recommend him enough. Not only is Deven and stand up bloke, personable and humble, he has a keen ear (I say this as a musician myself) and great attention to detail. He has a great understanding of music with a dexterity/adaptability that provides for a seamless experience. For our Hindu ceremony, I provided a few Indian classical tracks, which Deven melded in with other tracks with perfect timing and volume such that the music perfectly complimented the ceremony without being intrusive or distracting. We also gave Deven a lot of freedom to use his experience to play the "right stuff" at the right time, which he did better than if we were to try and micro-manage. For the reception, Deven was given a challenging task of a mixed latin and Indian theme (my wife is Ecuadorian) whilst keeping any reggaeton as non-offensive as possible (an impossible task really). Additionally, we wanted to mix in an eclectic range of music from Bollywood and Bhangra to Hip Hop and R&B. We wanted all crowds from different backgrounds to stay on the dance floor and not have any segregation based on cultural background. Deven performed seamlessly in meeting all these challenges and somehow managed to keep us all dancing until the very end. He also conducted the crowd and ourselves as bride and groom superbly with patience, respect but also a subtle authority. Timing-wise, he was great in making everything fit despite significant delays (e.g. overunning speeches). We were also worried about the 90dB sound limiter at our venue at Hylands House, Chelmsford - this turned out to be nothing to worry about at all, and Deven delivered a great night with a good amount of volume that everyone enjoyed. We are honoured to have had such a talented DJ run our event. I should also mention that DJ Rugrat was our initial contact who was courteous, likeable, adaptable and understanding of our needs. We had to wait 2 years for our wedding reception at Northbrook Park due to Covid however, Musical Movements were super flexible and supported us amazingly during the wait. We were really glad Deven was available as his music is always on point. He was there for the Hindu Ceremony as well as the reception in the evening. He really kept the vibes appropriate for who was on the dance floor and really tailored the music exactly how we wanted. Only regret is not having a longer reception to enjoy the music. We highly recommend this company for any events. Really made our day as music is so key for a wedding.

Deven Musiq absolutely smashed our wedding reception evening! From beginning to end he was attentive, kept in constant contact and was happy to adjust things for us up until the very last minute. Deven Musiq was my DJ and host for my civil wedding and reception on the 23rd of July. Right from the beginning, he was super professional and friendly to work with. I managed to see him play at a local shisha lounge before booking him too then we had a video call to go through everything once I booked him. There was an easy form I filled out with song requests, genres etc and I was pleased to recognise them being played throughout the evening. Most of my suppliers had not worked at the cutty sark ship before so Deven joined on a group site visit I arranged and collaborated well with the AV company I had. On the day of my event, I actually made a mistake and started doing my bridal entrance during the bridesmaids entrance song but Deven smoothly switched tracks to rectify my error and it wasn't noticeable by my guests. After that, I felt really reassured that my DJ knew what I wanted and made it work seamlessly in the end. I had lots of compliments throughout the evening about the music and was asked for his contact details. I had a great time at my reception party and Deven delivered exactly what I wanted. I felt really comfortable sharing updates in our whatsapp group e.g. trial video of my first dance to show him when I wanted guests to join in from, my entrance music practice to show him how long the walk was in the venue. Hes easy to work with, approachable and responds quickly. I'd definitely recommend him and found it so easy to work with him. The dancefloor was full and my guests and I had a great time

saw a lot of positive reviews for Musical Movements so I booked them for my brother’s engagement party. Nainesh was extremely helpful and provided great service on the initial consultation.
On the night we had Mr Vish and he was absolutely exceptional. He assessed the vibe of the crowd throughout the night and ensured the dancefloor was full all night! Since the event I’ve had so many compliments for Mr Vish and how the music selection was inclusive for the whole crowd and everyone enjoyed the music all night! I would definitely recommend them for any of your events!

As a teacher you always want to be the best example for the ones you teach. To push them beyond their comfort zones, inspire and motivate them to have confidence to do anything but also show your appreciation of how they battle their way through life, because for most pupils, it is tough.
Through the pandemic and this year our kids worked like demons and they deserved to be celebrated.
Like with all schools, funding is limited.
The end of year party, in the school hall, with a few balloons and a Spotify playlist just wasn't going to cut it. It needed some magic.
I contacted many people, many companies, many small business to see what they could to to help. Most were met with silence and some were unable to give up their time.
Then I got a reply, one that I didn't expect.
Musical Movements (DJ Rugrat) we are so humbled by your generosity. Knowing what you do and how busy you are, you didnt even give it a second thought. It was an instant yes. These children went home beaming, smiles on their faces knowing that they matter. You gave them an evening, that for some have never had before, but for all, one that they will never ever forget.
There are no words to express how thankful we are! Genuinely the nicest people we have met - wonderful souls. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Rugrat was incredible...so many guests came up to us on and after the wedding to let us know how amazing the DJ was...

Musical Movements (specifically Deven Musiq) recently DJ'd at my wedding and were absolutely brilliant.

They were there exactly on time, set up really quickly, were extremely friendly, played the perfect mix of songs and even helped with organising the guests for our first dance etc.

If you need music for any event, I can't recommend them enough - especially Deven. I'll definitely be using them again.

Working alongside Aaron from the Musical Movement team was a fantastic experience. He went above and beyond for my couple and I cannot thank him enough. He was prompt, professional and enthusiastic.

Nainesh and the team were brilliant throughout the preparation for the wedding reception. He was really helpful with video calls and he made sure our requests were heard. The production on the night was incredible with a brilliant video wall and gold dance floor. We can’t thank him and his team enough for their work.

The vibe we were after for our Hindu ceremony was different to most of the weddings we had been to, with it being possibly a first for Musical Movements but they fully delivered.
Ash was incredible and mixed in all the tracks we wanted with traditional Indian sitar seamlessly! We’ve had so many requests already from our friends and family for the playlist!

Everything went incredibly on the day, Ash was on point at every moment and the music was so key in creating the best vibe - we wish we could do it all over again!!

Musical movements are NOT your average - copy and paste DJ company! They will truly take the time to get to know you and your needs and advise you accordingly.

From the first moment we spoke to Nainesh and Shraii, we knew we wanted them to be part of our wedding team.

Nainesh took the time to explain everything and answered all the questions we had - what we loved the most is the absolute directness and honesty! We didn't feel like we were being sold things that we may not need or use in the venue we had and this alone is so rare to find!

Then, the absolute VIBE at our reception - we knew we wanted a party and it was so important to have the right DJ who could read a crowd that wanted Bollywood, Old school R&B, Hip Hop, Garage, Reggaeton, Bhangra - & we got exactly that with DJ Shraii (oh with some additional surprises added in too for those that support LFC!)

Shraii listened and delivered to what we wanted - we could have continued all night! So many of our guests commented on how much fun they had!

We would ABSOLUTELY 100% recommend Musical Movements - once we had booked, it was also great to attend the Mr&Mrs Event and meet the team in an informal
setting - defo recommend this to any newly engaged couples!
