My Energy Optimiser (MyEO) is a cloud-based subscription service that schedules the charging and discharging of your home energy storage system (battery). Scheduling works in 30-minute intervals and can be configured manually or fully automated using Octopus smart tariffs, including Agile. The service offers multiple options for triggering battery charging, and also allows for setting a target charge based on the forecast solar generation. - Octopus Agile customers can schedule their battery to charge during the cheapest 30-minute period each day or within a preferred time window, such as overnight. - Octopus Intelligent Go users can use MyEO to prevent their home battery from discharging into their electric vehicle. - Octopus Cosy users can schedule their battery to charge during the multiple low-cost periods available throughout the day and night. - Customers on other tariffs, such as Economy 7/10, or with different electricity suppliers (e.g. E.ON Next, Tomato Energy) can also benefit from MyEO by setting up manual schedules. The service is currently available to users with a GivEnergy inverter, using GivEnergy’s official API. MyEO only uses officially supported APIs to ensure the safety of your system and protect your investment. Only essential data is required at sign-up—such as your GivEnergy API token—to allow MyEO to control your home battery. This sensitive data is securely encrypted in our database. You’ll receive unlimited email and messenger support directly from the developer, including full setup assistance. Support is not restricted to typical working hours. A free subscription is available to let you explore the service before enabling automated control. Upgrading to the paid plan activates automation features, with a 10-day free trial included so you can confirm the service meets your needs before being charged.
