I received some excellent diet and health guidance from gene food. The kit I received was well designed and simple to collect and return my saliva sample. When I had follow up about my results I was able to get a fast response and get detailed feedback. Overall 10/10 customer experience and value.

At first I was upset because I received unfulfilling information: that I was extremely likely to have problems with x and y things, but I did not have those issues, so what did it mean? Long story short, via email, John at Gene Food provided me with guidance that was of very high value for my nutrition going forward.

The GeneFood team was responsive and thorough. When I had a technical question, the team arranged a video call directly with the CEO, John O'Connor. John called me promptly via a Zoom video call from his vacation. He answered all my questions - and more. I am very impressed with John and his team as persons and as professionals.

After researching various test kits, I chose Gene Food's kit for its thorough approach and reasonable price. The kit came with easy-to-follow instructions. I upgraded to the premium plan for more detailed reports, and it was definitely worth it. The reports gave me valuable insights into my genetic makeup and dietary needs, helping me make informed decisions about my diet and lifestyle. I did run into an issue logging in to view my results, but when I reached out using the contact form on their website, they responded and resolved it within 24 hours. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience.

I was working with a functional medicine practitioner who ordered a bunch of lab work on me at the time I did the Gene Food test. The results were 100% in line with the results of my lab tests, which was validating for me. I also spoke with a Gene Food rep who went over my results with me in detail. I am happy with the results - they are quite extensive and what I expected. Lots of science-backed explanations.
As a note for improvement - some of the links for the scientific explanation of some genes are not working, and the company could work more on the specific meal plan (although it is good enough as it is - this is not the core service in my opinion).

Very fast response to questions (I had uploaded the wrong file) and also report generation. Interesting report taking into account individual genetic data. One thing I was surprised to see missing was a reference to high Homo-cysteine levels due to MTHFR and B12 methylation issues . . . I will send a note as soon as I figure out how . . .

I love that there is in-depth information re: SNP's, and how, if, or why you may want to supplement or not. The diet suggestions are good as well.

I had an issue accessing my account and email the company. I received a prompt response the next morning (from a human) and the issue was resolved.

Very responsive. I did receive a reply within a short time however the description of the services led me to believe that it was a little more sophisticated than simply dietary complete dietary recommendations. That was my fault. Definitely very nice to work with and as far as the far as being trustworthy I would have to say that they're honesty and integrity was Superior to many other companies I have dealt with.
