Kind, considerate & friendly

Extremely efficient got my panels & battery installed last week and couldn’t be happier the lads that done it were really helpful and explained it in depth and detail couldn’t be happier.

We had a great experience. The sales team were streets ahead of their competition. They understood our issues and situation straight off, and recommended a custoimised solution for us at a very attractive price.

Installation was a dream. Just the best team.

After sales support has been outstanding. We have been proactively contacted about the potential for upgrades, but this was in no way a pushy sales call. It was an informative discussion.

We are very happy. Our dual fuel bills have halved since we installed the system. Pay back will be in less time than we were quoted, despite the way energy bills are going.

We are very happy customers. I can't understand why more people don't have solar installed. And if you are going to do an installation, I would recommend My Home Solar.

Good install on time and a competitive price, happy with the overall experience, bought a system for a 2nd home in Dorset.

My experience was great from start to them finishing installation, that's 2 batteries and 16 solar panels. The electricians arrived at 7.45 am and the whole installation was completed by 2pm, which we thought was very impressive.
We met 2 excellent members of the sales and design team, Mark and Martin, who were able to explain the system and the obvious benefits to be had by us both aged 76 and because of ill health and mobility issues have been using 11,000 units of electricity in our 2 bed bungalow.
We are just waiting to receive the certificates and necessary paperwork to be able to contact Octopus Energy and to use one if their excellent tariffs to be able to reap the benefits of our new solar panal installation.
We would recommend MY HOME SOLAR and award them 5 stars, actually more if it was possible.

We have a working solar panel system, but the 0800 number system is awful and resulted in 0 callbacks and hours of emails and phone calls to chase up workmen etc. They have everything they need to be very successful if they sort the communication out.

My Home Solar reached me via a telemarketing call. Their salesperson walked through the system, then pushed for a commitment while dropping the price from £11,000 to £8,000 the rapid discounting, coupled with repeated prompts to pay a £2,000 advance immediately, was a clear hard‑sell approach rather than a consultative discussion.

I contacted few other installers to benchmark. Every company I spoke to quoted £1,000–£1,500 less than My Home Solar for comparable kit and installation. I called the next day to cancel. My Home Solar confirmed the order was cancelled and said the £2,000 advance would be refunded within two days. Despite chasing for 15 days, I have not received the refund. Each time I call, I’m asked for my surname and postcode and told I’ll get a call back—which never happens. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.

The sales pitch and booking the installation was very easy. The installation team came and were done with a number of hours. The system works well.
Unfortunately the after finishing our renovation there were some safety concerns with the system that MyHomeSolar had installed.
Safety issues:
They did not highlight and label the DC cables in the loft.
The inverter was placed below and too close to the consumer unit (risk of Fire)
The units were placed on a plywood backing board. (Not a fire retardant board)
The battery was placed too close to the inverter and now unable to push the battery off switch.
Not sure how this all passed the MCS certification.

I have contacted the company a number of times and they said they will send someone to correct the job.
No one has come or called to organise.
Installed in December 2024 and contacted in January and a couple of times during the year 2025. I would love a response from them giving them opportunity to rectify the install.

Outstanding. Got several quotes with different companies but these were the best and great value. Amazing turnaround - 48 hours between ordering and having the whole system up and running. Clear helpful advice, great post installation support tweaking the system to optimise it for my needs. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We had our system fitted in December 2024 and I’ve waited to give a review because it takes a while to get going properly with solar. We saw my home solar at the Christmas ideal home show and had our system fitted a couple of weeks later. We had thought about solar before but the cost of battery storage had previously been too expensive, the show offer seemed really good value. The fitting was quick and efficient and the panels look good. As newbies to Solar it has taken a while to get the best from them as the certification and acceptance by the responsible electricity companies can take a while, luckily we were with Scottish and Southern who are very quick. Meanwhile we changed our electricity and gas supplier to Octopus and once we had the acceptance for exporting electricity to the grid we could go on Octopus flux. We now discharge our battery between 16.00 and 19.00 at a premium rate and fill up our battery between 02.00 and 05.00 on the cheapest tariff. We could not have set this up without the expertise of Ian at my home solar. It took a while due to the demands on his time but we are absolutely delighted that we chose my home solar. It’s always a chance with an unfamiliar company but to have a full 10 panel system with battery storage for less than £8.000 is fantastic. We watch what we are generating via the Foxess app and use the washing machine etc when the yield is high or battery’s full. Highly recommend My Home Solar and if we moved we’d chose them again.

That probably seems like a tough title because you have read lots of favorable revies on their website. That is part of the con. It is their website so they only publish the favorable reviews, unfavorable ones are simply ignored. How do I know ? I had a problem, asked them to fix it on 24 Feb 2025, they promised to look in to it but did nothing, so I sent a chaser 4 days later, but still no response. I then created and posted an appropriate unfavorable review to jog them into action. Here we are 4 weeks later and it has still not been published, nor have I had any real response to my problem, which is essentially that the panels are not performing.
