Defrauded by Chad E Watson, National Construction Group
I have recently discovered that I have been defrauded by Chad Watson and his company National Construction Group in OKC.
He acted as the general contractor for Wind and Hail damage restoration for my home. Total damage assessment $111,062.43. We were in a romantic relationship at that time and although I had already signed with a different contractor in 2019, Chad Watson asked me for the work so I had agreed. He was to complete the full scope of work with all the sums from the insurance claim and absorb the deductible which was $12,430 at the time in 2020.
I have recently contacted Chad Watson regarding shingles that are falling off my roof and he told me that it was no longer under warranty and that he would send out his roofer Jose and that I could pay him directly which I did.
Jose came and did the repair and I paid him $550. A couple of weeks later I had found more broken off shingles in my flower bed. I called Jose directly 405-541-4237 and he told me that I will continue to have problems because the roof was never installed properly. That the nails were too high. Jose also proceeded to tell me that he also told Chad Watson the same thing.
On March 19th, 2026 I called Mr. Chad Watson to discuss what his roofer told me and he denied any claims. Chad Watson then continued to tell me that the company I had the contract with National Construction is no longer in business. That he operates under National Construction Group. That I have no warranty since that company no longer exists.
I had contacted Salazar Roofing shortly after to get a 2nd opinion, and found out that I could have defective shingles but could be under warranty from Certainteed the shingle manufacturer. I had to find and submit documentation to Certainteed and that is when I realized that I have been, beyond any reasonable doubt, defrauded by Mr. Chad Watson.
Mr. Chad Watson had told me not to worry about a thing that he would take care of everything. And I believed him. Upon reviewing the Adjusterâs Summary from Reed Insurance Adjusters I have just discovered all the items that were not done or never installed including 2 Garage doors, a window, copper eyebrow, exterior lights, and more.
He also told me that the Belmont shingles cost more than the Grand Manor which was what I originally had and what the insurance paid for, but come to find out that Belmont shingles cost about $100 per square less than Grand Manor. My roof needs 127.4 squares. Thatâs $12,740 less. He also replaced my gutters and told me that my guttering was $20,000, and because we were in a relationship at that time, I believed him.
I had also reached out to have an in person meeting in hopes we could resolve this, but during the meeting he denied everything and told me that I owed him money. That heâs going to send me a bill.
I have filed formal complaints including the Attorney Generalâs office and Oklahoma CIB.
