Wouldn't recommend. Requested payment for a certain part of a house sale, which they somehow managed to send back to myself, due to their incompetence, then chased up the payment (for a second time) months after the sale had completed. Useless.

The service provided was not value for money at all. The associate handling the matter took an inordinate amount of time and billed an unrealistic amount of time to simply prepare a demand letter - about two pages - which was not even well-drafted. It seemed that the key pre-occupation of the firm was to make as much money doing as little as possible.

Tina Shah was brilliant throughout my case dealing with very difficult circumstances. Her calm and reassuring approach took away a lot of the stress from the situation and she made sure I was kept up to date all the way through. She was clear with me about her costs and her assistant Sally was always very helpful. A great team to deal with if you are going through a family breakup. I would give 10 stars if I could I am so happy with how things worked out. Thank you

Haneef and the team at the Luton office were outstanding throughout my house-buying process. Incredibly helpful, remarkably efficient, and always available when needed. I had the pleasure to work with Haqib and team at Neves Solicitors. It was my first purchase property so I was really nervous about the whole procedure. Everything was explained in great detail and the process itself was smooth. I needed to leave for the US for work and they were very accommodating around this. Thank you once again.

Lucy was just brilliant, she was easy to reach out to, she returned my calls quickly, and made the whole house move such a smooth transaction. She had me ready to move within weeks. This could have been so stressful but Lucy definitely took that part away! Would highly recommend.

Very surprised to see such bad reviews! I instructed Neves Milton Keynes as my solicitor to sell my shared ownership home and they've been nothing but fantastic and fast from the get go.

I have not had to chase, they have been on top of things and sorted queries really quickly, also they would let me know if they hadn't heard from the buyers solicitors for a few days after sending queries so i could chase them through the estate agents etc.

I would recommend them and thank them for such a seamless, stress free experience so far for selling my property! Would deffo recommend!! Phoebe, Charlene and Jackie @ the milton keynes office have been fab!

Avoid from the start. I contacted Neves to ask for advice over an issue they specifically advertise as happy to deal with.
My case never even got off the ground with them. I kept being promised someone would contact me to discuss my case but after chasing up several times I gave up. They just made me feel like they weren’t even interested in helping me at all. It was all too much of an inconvenience for them.
I ultimately went elsewhere. I didn’t tell them - I left it to see if anyone would actually ever return my calls - but they never have.
Totally appalling and impersonal service. Avoid like the plague.

Neves Milton Keynes was my Surveying Solicitor when I was buying a flat. From start to the end their service was so much lousy and terrible that I had to remind them each and every step. At the beginning they even have forgotten to prepare my case, so I had to remind it. They have asked me to pay the search charges from the beginning in order to start the searches early, but they have also forgotten to do that and delayed the buying process. They have charged me extra service fees and I have reminded them to correct the amount. They have made an account finalisation and have to pay me the excess amount, but for 2 months I keep sending them emails, but they don't even return back. Strongly advise to keep away from them.

Absolutely terrible. Costs significantly higher than advised, work was done wrong which they didn't tell us about and very poor service in general.

We discussed costs at the outset. All of the work to be completed was discussed and we were advised this would take 13-20 hours. When I closed our account, without the work even being completed, we had already been charged for 24.6 hours with a further 2.5 hours on the time ledger. This is without the work even being completed. The time ledger was also inconsistent with what we had been told was owing on our account which is concerning. Obviously, when you are trusting a solicitor to charge you fairly you want to see clear consistent records with explanations for the charges. The time ledger was difficult to get hold of, I had to request it 3 times, finally contacting the complaints department. Also , work was done wrong. An application to the land registry was rejected and Neves did not even bother to tell us. I only discovered this when I contacted the Land Registry myself to find out what was going on and was told the application had been cancelled months previously which Neves had kept under its hat. Shocking. There was also rude behaviour, such as ignoring emails, I had to contact the managing partner to get the solicitor to respond to us. We used Machins in Luton for another matter and they were excellent.

Neves LLP in Milton Keynes, in particular Beth Woodward has been spectacular. Her professionalism, expertise and competence ensured that she secured the divorce settlement I wanted and on my terms. Latterly also re-negotiated the terms concerning the family home. Would recommend her to all in need of serious expertise in matters of Family Law.

Whilst handling a divorce matter which badly wrong due to the overdue retirement of a forgetful and spiteful solicitor. Mis-directions, poor record keeping, fictional accounts, and missed communications, always the clients fault and never theirs. Thankfully a fully vindicated escalation to the legal ombudsman brought satisfaction and redress. I would never ever trust this firm with anything not even the food waste collection from my home..... clients beware. PS I managed to settle the divorce myself with little help from solicitors in general, they only make things much much worse as was shown in this case.

I've given them one star as I can't give negative stars. Once again I've had to complain about the appalling service they provide. This time I got a response which I knew would find them blameless. I have been trying to get the copies of my wife's death certificate back that were handed to them without my knowledge by my stepson. Neves have consistently refused to hand them back and have invented a reason for keeping them. When I complained about poor service they even tried to claim, without proof, that I had been abusive. In fact Nina Guerra had treated me like a Criminal in the dock being made cross-examined. Only go to this Firm if you want to be fleeced in every way possible.

Katy Williams is the most professional person I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Ignore the other reviews, she is amazing and Neves are to across their 2020 team. If you need help, and your in trouble you know who to call - Neves LLP

I have had a complaint about Neves upheld by the Legal Ombudsman. Peter Kelly is listed as the person to whom complaints should be made. After 9 weeks I hadn't even received an acknowledgement as their code of practice states should happen. I complained to the Legal Ombudsman and Mr Kelly tried everything he could to avoid responding to the issues I had raised. He only complied with the requests from the Ombudsman when he was threatened with an enforcement notice. At a meeting with another Partner it became apparent that Mr Kelly had not not told anyone else about my complaint and denied any knowledge of what my complaint was. However, on the plus side, Trevor Kidd has always been very professional when it comes to property matters - a shining light in the darkness that is Neves! My advice is to avoid this firm at all costs.

Avoid at all costs! Without any shadow of a doubt, Neves are the worst solicitors that I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.

Neves dealt with my late grandfather's Will Trust since he used the firm to set up the Trust in the 1970s, and as such when my late mother passed away in December 2015 I was forced to start interacting with the firm in order to settle the estate and terminate his Trust. The Trust should have in fact been terminated some three and a half years previously when my grandmother passed away, but Neves did not act.

What was to follow after my mother died was four years of pain and anguish, trying to get some sense out of the many solicitors I had to liaise with. Incorrect advice, seizing rent payments (that should have been due to myself and my uncle) in order to pay their own bills, ludicrous ideas for how to move forward and general inconsistency and ineptitude that makes me shudder to this day.

There should be a special place in hell reserved for Carole Hewett in particular, a woman of such legal incompetence that I cannot even begin to describe in a short review. She ultimate took on responsibility for the file and caused numerous issues that could have easily been avoided.

I would highly recommend that you avoid this firm for ANY of your legal requirements - you deserve better
