I had accident in December 2023, insurance passed to this firm for an injury claim, now it is April 2026 and still no closer to resolution. I had an email advising that negotiation had been sent with 28 day response almost 2 months ago. Called today to find out what is going on, to be told that there is a fault on the claim and they need to send a re negotiation back to me manually. Asked what this means and how long it would be as I want an end to it all. To be told basically nothing and they don't know so more sitting around with how long is a piece of string.
There have been mess ups and mistakes all along this process at every stage, it does not fill me with confidence in the company at all.

My insurance company put me onto these..
This company is a nightmare.. no response or acknowledgements to emails.. no answer to phone calls. I sent every bit of evidence on their portal at the start. Then heard nothing for quite a while. Then obviously they can't locate the information sent. Numerous times.. Legal action ombudsman said that I should write and try to resolve first. Which I have done. Communications from this company are slow or non existent. Don't expect anything in a hurry.. they will blaim you for everything. When it's clear that they are at fault. I've repeatedly sent all information of witnesses and the RTA facts.. this company didn't follow up on police reports, witnesses.. CTV. from bus company and businesses over looking the RTA. Or any medical information. Said my case was closed??.
Expect a constant distressing battle with this company. My incident is still not resolved. Next steps for me are back to the ombudsman, as they have had long enough.

Everytime I sent documents they would loose them and then when I would ask for an update then thatâs when they will mention that I need to send xyz paper work again. My accident was in Oct 2023. Iâm STILL waiting for compensation. Iâm going through a second complaints procedure with New Law, due to lack of progress and response. No response at all via email. When you ring, they deny having any record of your phone calls later on. My next step is the Ombudsman.

Not even worthy of 1 star. This has to be the worst company I have ever had to deal with.
After 3 years of back and forth, no communication, constant chasing. Finally in December I had enough and asked them to go for settlement as I couldn't face anymore of their incompetence.
Agreed on settlement on December 19th. To date I have not received a penny. Chased it last week to be told they will notify the finance team who will be in touch in a few days.
Guess what!!! Not heard a peep. Contacted them today, system states payment made on January 2nd. Really ??? Who to? As I've not received it. So on top of their incompetence there is now falsifying documents. Last week that update was not there. I've had no communication to say any payment has been made. It certainly didnt go into my bank account.
The young lady gave me the contact number for the collections department and of course no one answers.
I think its time to contact the seek legal advice as I can't keep going through this.
My advice to anyone, if you aren't in too deep then change solicitors and to anyone thinking of using New Law, DON'T!!!! its not worth the mental anguish.
This experience has been worse than the trauma of the accident itself.

Worst solicitor for personal injury I have ever come across very rude on phone when your asking for update after 2 years ago car accident honestly stay away from these even if your insurance company recommend them like mine did you can use any solicitor you like so stay away.

At first my experience with them was great. Sorted out all my treatments and contact was regular then suddenly complete silence. I have an ongoing claim with these & itâs been over a year.
3 emails sent asking for an update and nothing! What is the point in passing an email address out if you arenât bothered about replying to your clients!
I think contact with the ombudsman is a must.

Still have an ongoing claim from December 2022 that New Law are âdealingâ with if I can call it that. I have never ever dealt with a company with such a lack of communication or customer service. Iâm still awaiting an email reply from 5 weeks ago that Iâve chased up multiple times and that would be a quick response if they managed to reply anytime soon! I honestly canât express my frustrations enough, the sooner the claim can be settled and I donât have to deal with the company anymore the better.

I have been trying to get a settlement for the accident which took place in April 2022.My claim has been going on for very close to 4 years now. I have had countless appointments with different doctors and so called specialists,That many I have lost count.I have also had I think it must be 5or6 deferent people dealing with my claim. I send emails I get no reply I ring up and they always say the person dealing with your claim is out the office at the moment and everyone else is busy. Iâm really sucks between a rock and a hard place.my last resort was to write this review hoping that someone from new-law will read and hopefully I will get some answers.
Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless! My RTA personal injury (minor whiplash) and small loss of income claim was passed to them via my insurer (LV) and it has taken 2 years to get nowhere. Theyâve acknowledged delays in the past caused by delays in progressing the claim and Iâm consistently hastening and complaining to them. Now they continually ask for my tax returns to calculate the loss of income despite my having sent the information to them several months ago! This month it transpired they hadnât acted on information I provided some 3 months ago and despite me resending everything I have in that respect they keep requesting more information that doesnât exist. I feel theyâre only interested in recovering the insurerâs losses and are trying to make me give up. Iâve complained to the Legal Ombudsman and will await the outcome, which will probably be in 10 months! If Iâm in a similar situation in future Iâll use a local solicitor.
Iâve just noticed that this outfit is rated on Trustpilot as the worst legal services company for personal injury claims and the one from worst company for legal services!
Just to add they have seemingly incorrectly completed and submitted the claim form, only 2 years late, and are back asking me to send the same information that Iâve sent to them several times before or cease my claim.
As a result I strongly believe they canât be bothered with what is a small value claim, so I have today issued small claims court action against them for the full claim value on the basis of professional negligence. NewLaw Solicitors are an absolute pain to deal with and, in my experience and unless itâs a high value claim where they see their commission as being worth the effort, they are simply not interested in the Clients and try to wear them down through continuing inactivity and requests for the same information. AVOID!
New Law Cardiff
I engaged New Law Cardiff to do probate after my partner died suddenly. It has been a nightmare. My case solicitor got my partners assets wrong on the balance sheet. Forms she said she'd sent did not turn up. When they did she named my partner as Margaret not Michael on a legal form. I was so upset. My partner had 2 pensions, she sent the wrong things to the wrong pensions and kept getting them mixed up. Two months after probate was granted she still hasn't applied to the land registry for the house to be put in my name. She does nothing until you have asked her about it This has made my grief 10 times worse. Please do not use this company,I am thinking of you. I've started complaints procedure so will continue to review as this progresses.

It's taken this bunch of clowns 13 months to tell me I don't have a strong enough case, even though the 3rd party is no longer on this planet. What they really mean is they suffer from bungling incompetence as I had to complain to Tesco's, who I was insured with, who then complain to Arc Legal, who then raised the complaint with new law as new law don't monitor their complaints email, or ignore it. The complaint came about as I had nothing from them for 5 months.
So they say I haven't got a strong enough case for psychological damage, but they haven't done anything about the incidental losses I have also suffered as they have closed the case. Mind blowingly useless.
This is not the last new law will hear from me as I will be following it up with Tesco's, Arc Legal and new law.
Go find a real solicitor and avoid these muppets at all cost.
