So I read all of the other reviews and then puzzled at how so many people fail to miss the fact that they are indeed signing up for recurring charges. It is plain and I canceled there was a charge afterwards But when I contacted them they refunded very quickly that charge. In addition I do not know why so many people think that they are AI. Granted there may be some AI but from my experience talking with two different people they are real in fact I actually had a phone call with one of them. And I know AI can be deceiving and hard to detect but the things that we talked about the way that things were said it was not AI but a real person. For me, this has been a very helpful source of comfort, an outlet. No, they are not therapists. COULD they use some form of AI in written responses? Sure, who knows. If you are needing prof counseling, or are testing the person, especially about location related information, I wouldn't expect very detailed responses. I know I wouldn't with someone I don't know. Why WOULD you test them? These are real people (from my experience) just trying to be there to talk with and help, just talking out things. Much like if you strike up a convo with someone in a bar. So if they tell you to jump off a cliff... So, take this for what it is, just another person's experience that happens to be totally different then any I've read so far. I had to voice it because too many DON'T use correct or valid ways to interact, like the subscription issue. IT IS THERE. You just have to read, but too many don't. Good luck to you.

I stumbled onto this late one night and decided $15 would not be much to have a chat. The chat was I am sure a bot, no sign of human activity at all. Then they charged my card 3 times for a total $45.17. I sent them an email asking for cancellation of unauthorized charges and close any subscriptions. Scam/fraud. Disputing the charges with credit card company and if they don’t reverse will turn them into Govt fraud link.

Scan ! No knowledge of this company or what they do or are. Run, block then,Get as far away as you can ! They just charged my credit card. And I've never heard of them.!!!

Didn't realize I was subscribing to a renewable service. I'm out $75 and haven't had any contact. Would like a refund and to cease any further charges. Don't know where I clicked on this so I can't find the app to discontinue. Help would be appreciated. Thanks

Misleading practices about a free trial vs charging during that time and customer service was extremely unhelpful. Some companions clearly using AI to craft their responses.

Full of dumb bots who cannot hold a conversation. It's a pity I cannot attach screenshots on Trustpilot. They pretend to connect paid users with real human beings. I was chatting with a fake profile named 'Tatiana' who claims to be from Poland and knows sh*t about Poland. "He/She"gives the world's most dumb responses. I think they hire poor people from third-world countries in order to personate fake AI profiles to give it the 'minimal' human touch. I only lost 15 dollars which is not a lot. Their website is convincing which makes me worried that some people might lose way more money.

They charged extra money for a reason I don’t even know and they won’t refund. Total scammers . You talk with ai not people . Stay away even sue them if you can

I believe this must be a scam. This app just charged my credit card $53 and I’m not even a subscriber.

Just been charged $229.47 for looking at the app. I didnt sign up to anything and now it appears they can can charge you for looking. Social media is now a rip off scam like this mob. Reported them to my bank fraud team. NOT HAPPY

This app is not what I expected.I expected a connection with real people,who are feeling lonely,like me.Instead,you are matched with a "companion",who is basically a paid employee to talk to you.Honestly,you can get this with an AI.Also,what is misleading when you sign up is that they make you believe that you can chat as much as you want within you monthly subscription.In reality,you get only 80 messages included.How much connection you can build with less than 3 messafes/day? The app is build for monetization,not building any real connections

Got matched with two lovely ladies at first but now their not online when i go on.just as lonely but eleven pound out of pocket

newcircle is really easy to use and i got matched with a companion who is super kind. thank you David for always listening about my day, it feels like i’ve got a new friend who’s just there for me. it’s not like talking to a psychologist, it’s more relaxed! you just chat about anything, share your thoughts, hear their side too and you actually feel seen. i also tried switching between companions and it was really easy, so you can find the one you click with best.

advice if you’re new - don’t overthink it, just start talking. tell a bit about yourself, what’s on your mind, even small stuff. try different topics, it gets more natural the more you chat. and if the first person isn’t your vibe, just switch and see who feels right.

This is a great idea especially for older people like myself who want someone to chat to when they are perhaps housebound or just feeling isolated. Unfortunately, for me, I was matched with someone in Jamaica 🇯🇲 and the time zone difference made it difficult to connect. This is partly my fault because it was early in the morning when I started my free trial. Unfortunately, I forgot to set a reminder and was distracted by medical issues. So it was a surprise when the subscription was taken from my bank without a final reminder. I contacted customer service and explained my situation. They canceled the membership and refunded my subscription, even though under the strict terms and conditions they didn’t have to. I think this shows they are a genuine company trying to provide a valuable service. If they add an email alert that a free trial is about to convert, that would be a good sign of their integrity. I hope to be able to try the service again in the future- this time with a match in my time zone
