Potential clients should be aware of my family's terrible experience with Nexen Energy Solutions.
Initial Deception:
My father, unknowingly, was steered into purchasing superfluous panels. Instead of a straightforward fix for a tripped circuit in his existing panels, he was advised to buy new ones. The problem? I, without any technical background, managed to rectify it within moments. But Nexen had already hastily delivered the redundant panels and pocketed the payment.
Endless Wait for a Refund:
Although we quickly cancelled the order and Nexen collected the panels, they have remained steadfast in its refusal to process the due refund. Months of relentless follow-ups yielded nothing but frustration.
Questionable Credentials:
Adding salt to the wound, it was a shock to discover that Nexen lacks Electrician licensing. This places them outside NSW Fair Trading's remit, making it harder for customers to seek a resolution.
Promises with No Follow-Through:
Shabbir, their principal salesman, made countless promises regarding the overdue refund. Sadly, he is all lip service.
Judicial Involvement:
With avenues seeming limited, we took the matter to the local court which ruled in my Dad's favour. But in a shocking display of disregard, Nexen chose to ignore the court's verdict and still hasn't processed the refund.
Continuing Legal Proceedings:
We now find ourselves preparing for another round of legal proceedings to enforce the court-mandated payment.
What Could Nexen Have Done Better?
Efficient Diagnosis:
A more trained or ethical team could have diagnosed the initial problem accurately, sparing the unnecessary expenditure and hassle.
Prompt Customer Service:
Addressing refund requests promptly and transparently could have avoided much of the prolonged stress.
Honouring Commitments:
Instead of making empty promises, actionable steps in line with their assurances would have retained customer trust.
Abiding by Legal Outcomes:
Respecting and adhering to a courtâs decision would demonstrate professionalism and respect for the judicial system.
Navigating this journey with Nexen Energy Solutions has been far from smooth. To anyone considering them, maybe reconsider.
