The Nextbase OBD Power Cable offers a simple plug & play solution with a 5-metre cable to give you the ability to install the power cable in your vehicle to meet your needs.
By using your vehicles OBD port the Dash Cam will be connected to a permanent power supply ensuring the camera is not only recording while you’re driving but also can access the power in the event of a collision when your vehicle is parked. The OBD port eliminates the need to use the 12V outlet (car cigarette socket). It includes a 90° connector for an easier connection, as well as an LED indicator light to show when the Dash Cam is connected, and power is available. *Compatible with vehicles with an OBD port.
*5m cable length *Includes: 5V Mini USB power cable and ferrite core *NOTE - Intelligent Parking Mode must be enabled when the Dash Cam is powered using the Series 2 OBD Hardwire Kit.
(Will NOT work with Piqo. Find the Piqo Install Cable here. )

I gave 3 stars to be fair as I actually didn't use it as shortly after it came I already had enough and switched to Viofo

I changed my car and didnt realise that the cigarette lighter socket/accessory power supply was permanently live, so my car battery was flat next morning. This item is great item as it cured the issue and now I don't have to remember to plug and unplug the dashcam anymore.

It doesn’t even charge the battery through the obd port. It’s either the device at fault or the battery totally useless.

I've left review on complete camera bundle. Not impressed with Nextbase nonexistant customer service department. Camera keeps freezing and have to reset the camera all the time... Cannot get hold of anyone to discuss a returns as it is obvious teh product is faulty.

So much easier than taking up the power outlet or messing around with hard-wiring to the fuse box. A great idea. Like it!

Professionally installed and now the obd cable is faulty and blowing fuses, I would have expected this from TEMU but not Nextbase. The cable has not been pinched , instead the voltage convertor has failed, I'm very happy with the camera but disappointed that I have to purchase another cable so soon.

Very helpful for hard wiring in a classic car - but length of cable excessively generous.

Really good quality plugs straight into the connector, ample of wire to enable to route it into the camera, the best thing is that I will never forget to plug in lead again & run the rush of not recording possible incidents but more importantly never running the risk of fully discharging the battery😩 Well worth the upgrade to hard wire the camera 👍🤣

Very easy to install as it connects to the ODB2 port as opposed to other systems which connect to the fuse box.
Fitted fine and made wiring the dashcam so much easier
