Used Dave Nicholls for the first time in 2017 and found them excellent. For that reason used them again and was again highly satisfied. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Excellent service from Dave today; called first thing this morning as kitchen sockets had tripped and wouldn't reset. Dave initially provided advice over the phone and when this didn't resolve the problem, he turned up when he said he would, tracked the fault down to v small damage to cable located under kitchen units, this was probably caused by a vole nibbling when it had been sheltering there for a day or two before being caught, after having been brought into the house by the cat a few weeks ago! Cable made safe and all working fine again.

Nicholls Electrical came recommended to us by my parents, who are very fussy with contractors! We have had them do some emergency work for us before we moved, and some more extensive work in a house we’ve just moved into. Both times communication has been great, they’ve arrived when they said they would, their work has been incredibly neat and tidy, and they’re really polite and pleasant to work with. We will be using them each time we need some electrical work doing and will recommend them time and again. It’s very refreshing to have reliable, friendly and professional tradesmen. I can't recommend this firm highly enough. I had to call them out yesterday when we had a fault that affected all our kitchen sockets. Allan and Cory were with us within 45 minutes and had identified the problem an hour or so later after painstakingly working through all our sockets individually (and rectifying another fault along the way). They were already booked to do another job, so could not immediately repair the fault, but ensured that we had all necessary appliances available to use. They returned as soon as the other job was completed and carried out the necessary repair.

It is hard to imagine getting this level of friendly service and consideration from too many firms. Having had to call them out earlier in the year for an unrelated problem, I know this experience was not a one-off, and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

I had a repair to the wiring done, the whole system circuit tested, and a new consumer unit installed. Allan managed and carried out the work. He was very prompt and extremely courteous and professional. Formal quotes were provided for the work, which I appreciated. Allanarrived as scheduled, and took the time and trouble to explain what he was doing and why. The standard of work was excellent. I am very satisfied overall and expect to use Allan/ Nichols Electrical in the future.
