I phoned ahead to see if I needed an appointment to purchase a hat and was told that I could just walk-in. This advice was friendly and helpful. Excited at the prospect of visiting this shop I paid for a rail ticket from Oxford £40 return and my friend also paid for a rail ticket from another part of the country at £40 return. I brought with me my Mother of the Bride dress and shoes to ensure a perfect match to a hat. On arrival at the shop I was met with a cold welcome, feeling awkward I said I was told I could walk in to look at hats. The Sales Assistant then said to me "well you can look but we don't have any time to help you!" This completely burst my excited bubble and if the wedding was further away in time I would have walked out there and then. I said to the assistant politely that I was disappointed as I was expecting some help. This improved the situation and she and another assistant both helped. I left with a fabulous hat that I love but was not invited to try my outfit on with it! I spent £255 within 10 minutes of arriving. They need to remember every customer counts and this supposed to be an exciting purchase.

Shopping for a Mother of the Bride outfit, I found Nigel to be very kind and helpful and above all genuine. Never pushy and no pressure experienced at all - his concern was very much that you feel happy and comfortable. He is very happy to listen to any concerns you may have over the fit and look and with their alteration service offered together with being happy to provide a return and refund policy in place should you have a change of mind, all helped to make the whole experience very easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

My online order arrived promptly and well packaged. I had an issue with something but after speaking to Nigel this was resolved very quickly. Very positive, pleasant experience. Highly recommended if looking for something extra special for an occasion.

WOW ! WOW ! WOW ! Nigel, what a lovely selfless man who goes above and beyond any expectations. Purchased outfit from Nigel Rayment Boutique to be told five days before the wedding I couldn't wear it as it was the same colour as the partners mother. Left with the dilemma of having to find another outfit at such short notice I rang Nigel in a panic. What a superb kind man !!!! he drove a four hour trip on Sunday afternoon to go to his other store to collect the same dress I had purchased in a different colour along with a matching hat. Sent me pictures to ensure all ok, then brought back for his tailoring service to alter the hem to box up and send to me express delivery to ensure I had in time for the wedding. I cant believe that somebody would do this for someone they didn't know. When I spoke to him on the phone he said I cant have you being disappointed. WHAT A SUPERB EXCELLENT SERVICE. A TOTAL LIFESAVER

I would totally recommend time and time again and words cannot express how totally and utterly grateful I am to him.

I left, having collected my altered dress, feeling unhappy, humiliated and unwelcome. No real attempt to try and help source the right hat and the dress, despite alteration, does not feel totally right. Poor customer service after spending a large amount of money.

I visited their branch in London and the service I received was fantastic. The dress and hat that I bought were amazing but it was the welcome and help that would make me recommend this store to anyone and I will definitely be going back for the next big occasion. I would like to thank them for the way my dress was altered and for the fact that nothing was too much of an issue for them. Hannah Joy

I can't speak highly enough of this boutique. Rather stupidly I bought a dress for my mum as a surprise, so she could wear it at my brother's wedding. She had shown me it online and said how much she liked it but when she finally tried it on it didn't suit her at all. The 30 days were already up so I ordered another from the same boutique and paid there and then as the wedding is just around the corner. I emailed the boutique to explain and lovely Sean replied straight away and said whichever dress my mum decided on he would treat as an exchange. The new dress arrived so quickly and it was fantastic so I emailed Sean and told him I would send the first dress back. He will only have received the first dress today, but I have already received an email confirming my refund. It goes without saying the quality of the items are excellent, but it doesn't happen often these days that sellers will actually go above and beyond for online buyers. Sean showed empathy, at a very stressful time, he was friendly and he and his staff dealt so promptly and efficiently with my purchases and refund that when my mums 2 other sons marry we'll definitely be shopping here!! Such an amazing company! Nothing too much trouble and very responsive. Ordered a beautiful dress which came very quickly and beautifully presented. Sadly it was too big or perhaps I wax too small😀

My mum and I visited the store in December, in hope of finding the perfect mother of the bride dress for my wedding in August. We were not disappointed...

From the minute we were greeted by Nigel, until the moment we left the store we were given the most fantastic service.

On arrival, the dresses were presented beautifully and there were a range of options to try from. Initially, we were given 6 tags to identify the dresses we liked and wanted to try on, and yet we needed more as there was such a beautiful selection to pick from.

Nigel was so incredibly helpful and provided exceptional customer service to us. He was not too pushy and provided us with just the right amount of critique ensuring we chose the right dress.

We left not even doubting our choice of dress. My mum looked beautiful and Nigel was a super star in assisting us in this expereince!

My daughter was getting married at end October and it was beginning of October and I still hadn’t found a dress after scouring the internet and high street. I then came across Nigel Rayment and as we live in north London made a trip to Marble Arch to visit the shop. Best thing I did! Nigel was very friendly and let us choose several dresses to try and was not scared to say if something didn’t look right which I really appreciated. I finally chose a lovely grey dress with a floaty cover and even bought the hat to match. Lots of people commented on my outfit and I was really happy and comfortable on the day. The outfits are not cheap but the quality is excellent. Would not hesitate to buy again as it’s nothing you will find on the general high street.

Traveled to London for a visit to Nigal Rayment’s store and I was amazed by the collection of gowns both classic and alternative. I’m not the typical mother of the bride and doubted I’d find anything to suit me. But Nigal was so helpful not pushy in the slightest but full of advice and tips. I would definitely recommend a visit this is store as you can’t replace a face to face service with cheap on line purchases. I am the mother of the bride but will definitely be taking mother of the groom there too. I love my outfit and can’t wait to wear it xxx thank you so much for all your help Tracie xxx

I bought my gorgeous dress last October for my wedding from Nigel Rayment London. I finally married last Sunday 13th June 2021. I felt a million dollars in my dress, Mo, the tailor made a white chiffon bolero to go over it, it was perfect. I had so many compliments on my dress & I felt just wonderful wearing it. The experience from start to finish at Nigel Rayment was amazing, Nigel couldn’t do enough for me. Can’t recommend them enough & I already have. Thank you Nigel 🌹🌹🌹

I booked an appointment online which was super easy to do. Nigel was incredibly professional and the service was exceptional. Amazing choice of beautiful dresses. Nigel also recommended a hat which he made and it totally completed the outfit. My outfit was big so now his tailor is altering it. I felt welcome and appreciated and I cannot recommend Nigel Rayment boutique highly enough! I can't wait to wear my mother of the bride outfit!

Just ordered 3 dresses from this store. Spoke to the London branch. All three dresses arrived beautifully packaged. Unfortunately had to return them all as none suited. BUT just wanted to say that in these COVID times, the service was still exceptional. Immediate refund given.

I am a larger size and probably need to visit a store to find my mother of the groom outfit as need to try lots on, but can't recommend this store enough! Give it a go!

Thank you Sean for a lovely Mother of the Bride experience. Shopping can be a bit strange in the current climate but you made it feel safe and relaxed.

From the minute my daughter and I walked through the door we felt welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. Also, Sean knew which direction I was going before I knew myself. Even when I thought I was going to want to try on half the shop he quickly narrowed it down and I loved every dress he picked for me to try! I also appreciated Sean’s opinion and honesty on what suited and what didn’t.

In summary, I would like to say thank you for your professionalism but, most of all, your patience :-)

Sean has looked after my mum twice now, each time he has provided exemplary customer service; my mum hasn’t known what style of dress she would like to wear, Sean provides suggestions and has a keen eye for which style will suit and flatter the most. He is also fantastic at matching up accessories and providing a whole outfit. At my brothers wedding, my mum felt confident and looked amazing and this was all down to Sean. The shop is immaculate, welcoming and you instantly feel put at ease. Nigel Rayment, Manchester is a great experience and well worth a visit.
