I booked with No1 Removals and Kam came round to price up and see how many vans would be needed. Very professional and friendly from the outset.
We had issues with completion being pushed back so needed to change our booking. Smooth Move was unfortunately booked for the new date but was helpful and gave me some numbers of similar independent companies.
Their booking had the same issue we had and Kam called me up to let me know. I hadn't gotten round to booking another company and as Kam had already been round and I'd met him I was more than happy to use smooth move removals.
Moving day was Friday, Kam and his team arrived Friday and packed everything up leaving just essentials. Come Saturday we were out by 12:00. And once we had the keys we were fully in within 2 hours.
No stress with moving. No worry. No trying to find anything. The lads put things where I had asked and anything they had taken apart was put back together again in the new house.
Perfect service. Couldn't be happier and the staff were so happy, friendly and very approachable.
Would use again and will recommend to friends and family DEFINITELY 👍

Kamran personally made a visit to our house today and together we evaluate the goods and furniture that has to be moved to our house in Leeds .We didn’t opt for packing or dismantle/assembly but they included in our offer wrapping all the furniture to avoid any damage free of charge.we’ve got the best quote on the market.We look forward to enjoy their services on the moving date in about 2 months and will come back .Definitely recommend No1 Removals .

No1 Removals undertook every aspect of their work with diligence, positivity and efficiency. 3 Luton Vans and 6 Men Within this move, there were a number of heavy objects, as well as some rather messy assortments of miscellaneous items. The No1 Removals staff were unfazed by any of these challenges and packed everything with professionalism and energy, whilst maintaining a polite and cheerful demeanour throughout the two days.

I booked no.1 removals as a removal service for my 1 bedroom flat. I made sure to message as to the level of service I would be getting, and fully discussed all the major items that would need moving. They agreed and we agreed to use them at £65 per hour, and that under their advice, that a Luton van with just 2 men would more than cover the move.

The day of the big move came (which was only the other side of the Thames) and a Luton van turned up, but wasn’t nearly big enough for what needed transporting. We didn’t even have a sofa or a bed to transport, so it really wasn’t a lot compared to many.

The men got out of the van and didn’t seem to have any idea of what was happening or what would be involved. They kept asking with surprise “is that coming” pointing at boxes, our TV’s, our sets of drawers etc. then continued to tell us that they would only be able to move our regular sized wardrobe if they dismantled it. It’s not one you can put back together once dismantled, so this meant we had to leave it behind and pay a waste disposal company £80 to take away, and left us with no wardrobe. So we now have to buy a new wardrobe.

One of my biggest gripes was that as someone with a mobility disability, I was very conscious of how much I would be required to pack, lift and carry. I was reassured by customer services that the packing service would be part of it. They didn’t pack a thing. Bearing in mind we’d already boxed most of our items, and just had some books and kitchenwares, as well as TV’s and computers. So we spent the next few hours continuing to frantically pack or stuff for them to slowly take to the van. Also note that at no point were removal rugs put down to protect floors.

Many hours later the van was full. We still had books, computers, TV’s and do much more to transport. Which then meant that when they got to the new home, they would have to drive all the way back again to collect the remaining items. Even then we had to ask. We had items left such as coffee table books and a costumed mannequin that had to be picked up by a friend who had a van the next day.

The gentlemen were pleasant enough, and we made sure to feed them. But it was an older guy and a young lad who was very inexperienced. They even asked me if I was going to bubble wrap my large TV…. that’s what the protective blankets are for! They ended the day with around 11 hours. The total to move from a 1 bedroom flat to a 2 bedroom flat 22 minutes drive away across the Thames came to over £700. For around the same price, I moved from a 3 bedroom house in Nottingham to London a few years before.

As we’ve spoken to others since who have said that we’ve been conned and that you sent the bare minimum to maximise the hours we’d have to pay. Others stating that this should’ve been done in about 5 hours tops with a team of 3 people, and packing would’ve been done (as was stated in the original booking and quote of service) it should’ve been approximately half of what we paid.

And if you believe their reply below, then you’re welcome to them. They attempted to buy my silence and came up with some wild lies and changes of subject. One of which was saying that they offered to pack, but didn’t. All my moving needs were transparent rand they agreed to them and advised a smaller team. They then said it would be quicker to move home from Nottingham to London than it would to drive 22 mins over the Thames. Absolute jokes. Their story changed constantly while I spoke to them and they continued to try and make themselves a victim, rather than face up to not providing the service promised.
