It was a high pressure sell technique which I don’t like. The first guy I spoke with promised his coworkers were vetted and with lots of experience. In reality, this company had no idea who would be entrusted to move me because they subcontracted it out. They adjusted the price higher of course day prior to move to ensure space on the 18 wheeler That was required per them to move my possessions. Fortunately, the gentlemen who they subcontracted were good guys who were excellent in what they do. These guys pulled up with a truck and 16 foot trailer. They rented a 26 foot U-Haul truck. They were able to move my stuff. In hind sight, I should have avoided North Atlantic van lines and their high dollar prices and went with a local company. For me North Atlantic Van lines just outsourced the job as fast as they could.

Our move from NJ to SC went very smoothly. The booking process with Matthew and his team at North Atlantic was straight forward and they walked us through all the paperwork easily. Price was very reasonable, considering the cost of renting a van, fuel, hotel, loading, driving 13 hours and unloading again. Aamed from Best Choice took care of all of that, and was on time, communicative and careful with our belongings. We could not have had a better experience. My only tip is to read the bill of lading which specifies that the second two payments must be in cash or Venmo, etc. We were not prepared for that, but all worked out.

Had to relocate from Georgia to Wyoming for a job of a lifetime! (I'm a Tower Technician) and got an "Essential Worker" Discount for it.

Nate Fernandes over at North Atlantic Vanlines was a pleasure to deal with! He was quick to listen to my needs and expectations for the move and just as fast to ensure everything was executed as discussed.

I had a few questions on my pickup date on Sunday the Feb 1st. Nate took my call and stepped away from his Daughter's Softball Game to give me the 10 minutes that I needed as this was a huge 3,000 mile move for me and to say I was STRESSED was an UNDERSTATEMENT!

Patty over in Dispatch was God Sent and made sure I was up to date with where my belongs were during the trip.

Everything arrived exactly as it left and the Movers even built and staged all my furniture!

Review: North Atlantic Van Lines & Petra Pro Movers LLC - A Total Scam

If you're even thinking about using North Atlantic Van Lines or Petra Pro Movers LLC for your move, stop right now and run in the opposite direction! My experience with both of these companies has been an absolute nightmare, and I’m determined to warn others before they fall into the same trap.

My ordeal began when Ahmad from Petra Pro Movers showed up late on moving day, and that was just the tip of the iceberg. He jacked up the moving price by a staggering $1,500, which escalated to such a level of chaos that police had to get involved. When I dared to question Ahmad about this outrageous increase, he became verbally aggressive. This should have been a glaring red flag, but I had no idea how much worse things were about to get.

Just when I thought it couldn’t spiral further out of control, Frank—a so-called “supervisor” from Petra Pro Movers—decided to grace me with his presence via phone. He made grand promises that my belongings would stay on the same truck and be delivered directly to Houston. Spoiler alert: that was a blatant lie. When my belongings finally arrived in Houston, they had mysteriously been transferred to a completely different truck, mixed in with the furniture of two other families.

To add insult to injury, two of my wooden computer desks were missing, my dresser arrived broken, and I lost over $600 worth of high-end clothing. When I confronted Frank about the missing items, he casually suggested I file a claim. I trudged through their convoluted claims process only to be insulted with a pathetic offer of $135 for my lost belongings. The insurance company then informed me that if I wanted more compensation, I would have to deal with North Atlantic directly. So, back I went to Frank, but now he was completely unresponsive.

North Atlantic Van Lines will lure you in with the promise that you can pay on the day of the move with a credit card. Oops—this is a lie. Petra Pro Movers only accepts Zelle or Cash App. Neither of these payment methods allows you to dispute the charge, leaving you with no recourse to recover your money except by going to court after they finish scamming you.

The real kicker? If you accept that measly $135 for your claim, you forfeit any right to pursue further claims against them. This is nothing short of a blatant scam designed to rob you of your rightful compensation. I am absolutely committed to filing a civil case against both North Atlantic and Petra Pro Movers; this kind of unethical behavior must not go unchallenged.

Let me be clear: North Atlantic Van Lines is merely a broker, and Petra Pro Movers LLC is the company they contracted to do the dirty work. On moving day, good luck trying to get ahold of them; they'll ignore your calls and send you vague texts about "phone issues." It's a scam from start to finish, and thank goodness I called the police to document everything before my belongings were loaded onto that truck. I will need this evidence when we take them to court.

BUYER BEWARE: This is a scam from start to finish. Your belongings will not arrive, and what does arrive will likely be damaged. If they show up at your door, do yourself a favor—close it and lock it! Protect yourself and your property; don’t let them take advantage of you like they did me!

Can’t say enough good things! Samantha and her team were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They communicated every step of the way, Movers were on time (even a bit early), worked incredibly quickly, and took amazing care of all of my possessions. If you need movers, don’t even consider anyone else! I would refer North Atlantic & Best Choice Moving to ANYONE!

My rep took the time to explain how the space and pricing works. They were upfront with how many days it would take my items to be delivered from OH to NC. Although it said up to 7 it only took 3 days to get here. Treated my furniture with respect. Thank you Amad from Best Choice. It was a great experience all around. Highly recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about North Atlantic Van Lines! Moving long distance was a nerve wracking experience for me, but their team made the entire process smooth and stress free. From the very first call, their communication was excellent!!!! they were always available to answer my questions and kept me updated every step of the way.

What really stood out was their speed and efficiency. The moving crew arrived on time, worked quickly without compromising on care, and handled my belongings with the utmost professionalism. I was worried about delays, but they stuck to the schedule and delivered everything right on time, giving me so much peace of mind.

I travel for work and move ALL the time. I can honestly say I have never had a great experience with moving companies. However North Atlantic Van Lines was Phenomenal! From start to finish they made sure my move went as smooth as possible. This is the only company I will use for my moves ever again. 10/10

Our experience with North Atlantic Van Lines was terrible. They underquoted us by miscalculating cubic footage, leaving our belongings barely fitting in the space they offered. On moving day, they demanded extra fees, including a questionable $300 elevator charge, despite our apartment being just 30 feet from the elevator. They also refused credit card payments, insisting on cash. To make matters worse, they outsourced our move to Petra Pro Movers, a company with a bad reputation. Our furniture, scheduled for delivery within a week, arrived 13 days late with no updates or communication, causing us extreme anxiety. Throughout the process, we encountered hidden fees, poor customer service, and delays. The entire experience felt like a scam, with unprofessionalism and deceit at every turn. We highly recommend avoiding North Atlantic Van Lines and finding a more reliable, trustworthy moving company.

So far Matt has been a great customer service rep. I am currently convinced that I should use North Atlantic Van Lines as my moving source. I can't wait until the opportunity to start the process. Thank you so much Matt.

The attention to communication and planning in advance the the entire experience excellent. The drivers/movers, Ahmed and Dee picked up my items in Kansas City with care and professionalism at every stage of the work. They were organized and took very special care of my paced items. I met Ahmed at the delivery location in NYC a few days later. Upon delivery, Ahmed again did an outstanding job with his new assistant Andrew. The entire team did an outstanding job. Im pleased. I highly recommend this team.

Matt, Sam and Ahmad were amazing! I had a really bad experience with another moving company and didn’t know how to get out of the mess I was in. They quickly jumped in and with just days notice, made my son’s move to the military base as stress free as possible. The communication was non stop and not once did I have to worry!!
