The care of the staff is second to None including their knowledge.
NPG are thorough in every department very patient and they keep their promises when they say they'll do something or look into it for you.
They make you feel relaxed that'll take care of everything.
Our experience with this property was mixed.
At the start of the tenancy, the property did not appear to have been properly checked before we moved in and the cleanliness was below the standard we expected. This made settling in more difficult than it should have been.
Communication during the early stages was also somewhat inconsistent, as we were contacted by several different agents. Following an inspection, we were not clearly advised whether an engineer would be attending or not. I ended up arranging this myself. While this was not a major issue to do, it had already been raised during the first inspection and clearer follow-up would have been helpful.
There was also a period where we did not have a fridge or freezer, which caused a significant amount of inconvenience and stress. During this time, we were not offered any temporary solution or the option of a reduced rent while these essential appliances were unavailable.
However, our experience improved significantly around July when Caitlin, the Senior Property Manager, became involved. She was very supportive, communicated clearly, and ensured we were kept updated with context about what was happening. Caitlin also made sure our check-out process and final report were handled smoothly and professionally, which we really appreciated.
Overall, the beginning of the tenancy was challenging due to the initial condition of the property, communication issues, and missing appliances. That said, the support we received later from Caitlin made a noticeable difference and helped ensure the end of our tenancy was handled in a much more positive and professional manner.
Awful service for landlords..their rental and management team do nothing but use scrupulous tactics to try to get you to pay more. Services get add on to your invoice as a landlord, many of which you havent been informed of. On several occassions properties were left vacant for months at a time. It had appeared the staff dealing with lettings had kept resigning or being fired..with no one to pick up the account.
The company seems shifty and incompetent or highly dishonest?! Be careful when trusting such people with your hard earned money!
Avoid at all costs. Lost £25k deposit at Centenary House development in Leeds a few years ago when the original developer went into liquidation. When I sought assistance from the Leeds office they completely washed their hands of the situation. Do not invest money through this business, it's all front with zero customer service once they have your money.
I have a buy to let with NPG and the property was tenanted immediately with a further contract for a following year being drawn up seamlessly. Amy Leek helped with providing me updates given that the tenancy was coming to an end in Jan of 2026 only to now extend for 2027. Thanks again for making it so effortless.
I have seen a property on Zoopla and it was advertised for rent at £875 per month and I have been booked a viewing then they cancelled the viewing in a short notice and then rescheduled the viewing and it was not a problem but the problem they have sent my another date for viewing and changed the rent into £925 instead. By going back to Zoopla, the property is still advertised with the same rent as £875.
This is was not a good experience at all.
Summary: avoid. Avoid like the plague.
Scroll down the reviews. Note the 5* ones say nothing in detail and come in batches for each of their staff. Curious?
We fell for NPG's sales pitch hook, line and sinker. They have not kept any of their promises, and breached our contract, and are ignoring all our efforts to resolve.
We paid for their snagging service well before completion, which promised speedy remediation and 3 follow up visits.
Snagging defects were in July 2024, including missing electricals, broken glass, missed paint, and missing sealant.
We had to chase NPG for 3 full months before we were finally told the snags had all been resolved.
This was patently not true, although we did not realise until November 2025 when we inspected ourselves. All the snags were there; none had been dealt with. NPG had misled us for well over a year.
We'd also paid for mid-term inspections. These all said the property was fine. The photographs were carefully taken to avoid showing the broken glass, paint splodge on the oven, missing electricals...
As the snags would all have been dealt with by the builder, they had nothing at all to gain by misleading us. Why wouldn't they just tell the truth? We paid them to for this; we did not pay to be misled.
We'd paid for a fully-managed letting service. Bizarrely, NPG did not know whether the tenant was male or female and said they could not speak English.
The tenant speaks English perfectly, has a degree from a UK university, and there is no doubt about their sex / gender. It's on their passport which NPG have a copy.
Other properties in the same block had leaks in Nov 2024 - a couple of weeks after we were told the snagging was complete. We were not told about this. Our property was not inspected, and NPG have refused to tell us anything about it.
Many properties in the same block had a plumbing defect remedied under builder warranty in Feb 2025. We were not told about this. Our property was inspected and the defect plainly visible but not repaired. NPG have refused to tell us anything about it.
That defect - which was visible from the very start - had got progressively worse and caused a leak and damage to the property below in August. NPG accused the tenant of causing this. Tenant responded immediately with pictures showing the cause of the leak, and damage to other areas caused by the plumber they had called out.
NPG did not tell us about this although we have a copy of their reply to the tenant, ignoring the issue.
NPG inspected after we insisted they go and see. They should have done this anyway, as they are the managing agent.
Their photographs do not show anything; not the repair, not the damage, and not the broken glass. The tenant pointed out the damage, which they ignored.
Their inspection report says the sealant is all brand new. A few weeks after this blatantly untrue report was issued, the person that inspected and wrote the report was promoted to Head Of Property Management.
It is hard to imagine what they thought would happen when the tenant left. Would they blame them for the snags? Did they think a new tenant would not notice?
We raised these concerns in writing a few times, each getting a more-dismissive reply. They have not acknowledged the simplest of facts: there is still broken glass at the property.
What do they think we will do - abandon the property? Pretend it's all fine? Hope that none of the tenants, ever, notice?
We had to raise this as a formal complaint. The complaint says, "this is not a GDPR request".
They pretended they thought this was a GDPR request, a standard blocking tactic.
We explained this again, asked them to confirm this was being dealt with as a formal complaint.
To top this, they have charged fees that are nowhere in the contract. They replied to confirm they are not allowed to charge them but - amazingly - also refused to refund them. Again: "we took your money, we AGREE we are not allowed to, and we're keeping it anyway."
They have refused to reply. Refused to reply - is that what you want from your agent, after paying them £ thousands?
We tried very hard to find a compromise, to get the problems sorted and move on. They are not even remotely interested.
It looks like we have no choice but to complain to the Ombudsman.
NPG asked for more details when they finally saw this review a week ago. They got them and have done nothing further - as you can see by the fact there's no reply to this.
Other negative reviews get a reply. This does not. What does that tell you?
Avoid like the plague.
Outstanding Estate Agent â Exceptional Support from Kate
Iâve had an excellent experience with this estate agent, and I want to give a special mention to Kate, who helped me so much throughout the process. From the start, she was friendly, professional, and incredibly supportive.
Kate kept me well-informed at every step, answered all my questions, and made everything feel easy and stress-free. The whole team showed great commitment and care, but Kate truly went above and beyond to make sure things moved smoothly.
I was so impressed with the quality of service that I decided to sign a property management contract with them as well â a decision I feel very confident about.
A truly unique, reliable, and customer-focused agency. Highly recommended!
Caitlin has been absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process of updating our tenancy agreement. Sheâs professional, responsive, and always makes things really easy to understand. Everything was handled quickly and efficiently, couldnât ask for a better property manager!
Right from the beginning when I checked in to the property till I left it everything was very smooth. No annoying paper work. Reporting and sorting an issue out was easy and pretty straightforward as well. The agents, specially Bailey was absolutely dedicated and super nice. The check out and claiming deposit was made so easy by him. Had a great stay. Would highly recommend.
Bailey has been an absolute star, very responsive to emails and sorting out any issues that have come up for us. Made updating the tenancy a much easier process than it has been in the past!
Outstanding Letting Agency
This is by far the best letting agency I've encountered in the UK. A special mention must go to Eve Jones.
During Tenancy: Eve managed all maintenance issues with incredible speed and a friendly attitude.
End of Tenancy: The deposit return process was remarkably fair and quick.
I highly recommend their services.
It was the worst experience of my life, they take the holding deposit and references you of you pass the reference and they decided not to let the tenancy to go ahead. Anyone who is trying to rent a property from north property group , especially in leeds be really careful. They scam you. Cant believe an real estate agency just scammed me. They ask me to move by end of October
Just one day before my moving out they decided not to go ahead with tenency and still hold my deposit
During the last 40 years, I have dealt with many estate agents all over the country. But my recent experience with North Property Group is exceptional and unique. Without prejudice, my experience with them can not be matched with any other agents which I have dealt with. They are highly professional, committal, honest and punctual. They strive to ensure customers satisfaction. I thank each and everyone I have interacted with throughout my recent purchase of a property.
Megan has been quick to respond to my queries and went above and beyond in sourcing curtains for me. Working with her has been a delight.
Avoid north Property Group at all costs. They are completely unreliable and unprofessional. They repeatedly miss appointments and inspections without giving any notice, and even when problems are reported, nothing ever gets resolved. Serious issues like mold, damp, constant leaks, faulty electric heaters that were a fire risk, and nonstop fire alarms were all ignored. The electric gates are a hazard too â thereâs no override key, so you can end up trapped in the car park for days, and emergency services wouldnât even be able to get in.
The senior property manager, Marianne Law, is especially unhelpful. She has no regard for tenants, is rude and argumentative, and constantly dismisses concerns instead of taking responsibility.
Overall, this is the worst estate agent Iâve ever dealt with. Lazy, careless, and unsafe. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
Very supportive and aways cooperative in many aspects. The way she treats her clients is top notch with prompt communication and well understanding.
