I tried Nous after hearing good reviews…
I tried Nous after hearing good reviews and wanting to see if it could save us money. Unfortunately I’ve had a pretty poor experience. They suggested an energy switch which I told them not to go ahead with as I wanted to look into it myself to double check everything. They then went ahead with the switch, I didn’t see the WhatsApp messages they had sent and didn’t try any means of communication to confirm I wanted to proceed when I had already set not to. I’m not stuck with an energy company with the most dreadful customer service who are refusing to switch us back despite being within the cool off period. The first time I knew we’d switch was when money had been taken from my account by the alternative energy company. I’ve fed back how poor my service has been to Nous but now being ignored and they’re not holding them self accountable for their poor service and accepting they switched despite my wishes. I’m now going to be out of pocket as the energy prices have gone up with my original provider

I wanted a fixed but got a tracker
I liked that I didn’t have to do anything at all, however I wanted to go on a fixed rate but they put me on a tracker with exit fees which isn’t ideal.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.
At the time of your switch, there weren’t any competitive fixed tariffs available in the market, so the tracker tariff offered lower rates and better value than the fixed options available at that point.
The benefit of being on this type of tariff is that as and when a competitive fixed tariff becomes available with your supplier, we can move you onto it without any exit fees. We continuously monitor the market and will look to move you onto a fix if and when it becomes worthwhile.

Looked up possible changes and viewed quotes. Then was informed by my current provider I was swapping and they have cancelled my account. When no swap was put into motion at all.

It sounds like when you signed up, you selected one of our savings modes where Nous finds and sorts savings on your behalf. We always provide the full details of any potential switches via email and WhatsApp in advance, so you have time to review them and let us know if you don’t want them to go ahead. Most of our customers prefer this level of automation and convenience.
Nous is designed to take the hassle out of saving money on bills. However, we appreciate this isn’t for everyone. If you’d rather handle things yourself, we also offer modes where you receive reminders and suggestions and can choose when to take action.

It was a very easy process
It was a very easy process - Nous found the alternate mobile provider for me at a lower monthly price and gave an overview of the new provider. I was able to ask questions and compare. The switch itself was seamless.
