Numerade has been very helpful for studying calculus and physics!

This company is a scam. I’ve never heard of them until I saw a charge on my statement. I reached out to them letting them know I NEVER signed up for anything with them and their response was I signed up for a free trial and needed to cancel. What can I cancel that I never subscribed to? If this isn’t resolved I will be contacting my bank as well as BBB and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

There is not a single University book i haven't found on Numerade, that provides quality support in all of them! You can find detailed explanations for the same topic by so many different tutors (+ AI) and those different approaches expand skills and perception... and not only that, there is a constant Support by Numerade's Team! i am so glad i have found out about Numerade, that i consider as my best friend in my study, as a source of knowledge and inspiration... Cancelled my free trial the very same day as I signed up after realizing the answer I wanted to view was wrong.

I have been charged for the annual subscription regardless the second enough money was in my account.

I have contacted them for a refund but to no success. Busy escalating to case for fraud. Shocked and disgusted. Their trick is to deny you ever canceling and say they have “proof” that it was not cancelled - even though there are hundreds of people clearly experiencing the same problem of receiving confirmation of a cancellation and then being charged.

Will not let this be until I am refunded. Really can’t believe they’ve gotten away with this for so long.

I am being charged monthly on my credit card for something I never signed up for, it's fraud. I go to the site to cancel yet it says I'm not subscribed yet they're billing my card monthly. I've tried everything and can't get them to stop charging me or credit my card for something I'm not even subscribed to! It's thievery and I'm angry. No customer service number Conveniently. I'm contacting my credit card company, these charges are fraudulent!

I signed up for the 7-day free trial, however, I had emergencies at work and forgot about it. Lo and behold they never sent a reminder that the free trial was ending ( like a good customer-centric company should do) and charged by account with $29.99 - I live in South Africa and this is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE when converted. I cancelled and requested a refund 20 minutes after they charged my account and “renewed” this subscription and they’re refusing a refund, stating their refund policy doesn’t allow for it. I can appreciate that every company has their policies, however I also know from my experience in customer service, that a company has discretion when it comes to refunds and looking at the other 1-star reviews, they’re not reminding people of free trials ending. How can a refund not be considered if it was requested literally 20 minutes after “renewal”. When did I use this service after this? This is ridiculous and I’m appalled at the poor customer service.

The 7 day trial ended and they charged my account 180.00 without a confirmation email or any notification.

I got this service to help with an engineering problem I was having difficulty solving and I saw that they claimed to have videos on how to solve it. Upon unlocking it I quickly realized that the educators they are using don't know anything. I looked at 4 different solutions to the same problem and all of them were different and they were all so far off it was almost funny. The problem I was trying to solve was a finite elements problem and the "experts" were solving it as a statics problem which in order to do they had to make up fake dimensions. Anyone who knows anything about engineering at all would know not to do that. Somehow their AI managed to do a better job than the people did however it was still very wrong. At a minimum using educators who are obviously incompetent is a bit sketchy, but it doesn't stop there. These wildly incorrect solutions also had massive amounts of thumbs up and no thumbs down. All of them had more than 20 thumbs up which anyone who's ever used Chegg before will know that 20 thumbs up is a lot and the problem will usually have been up for a long time. All of these had been up for under a year and still had a ton of likes. This tells me that they are putting up fake likes since the class that this problem is from is super small. This is obviously scam behavior. I canceled my account long before my trial ended so I will update my review once the trial period ends if they try and bill me for it.

UPDATE: Numerade issued a partial refund (which, I am thankful for). However, it does not change my earlier warning to anyone who would like to try their service.

Be very careful with this site as it could be quite deceptive. I didn't realize that my cancelation didn't go through because when I tried to do it, it kept telling me that the card information I had entered was incorrect. I inadvertently gave up and lo and behold an annual charge appeared on my account for a service I actually did not even use. I requested a refund but was sent a link to basically say I would not be eligible for one because they a NO REFUND POLICY. I had to cancel my card and report it to my bank and is now a disputed charge. I was finally able to cancel the subscription but only after I was already charged. They do not send you any reminders that your free trial will expire so, keep track. And even when you do, make sure you receive a confirmation email. I would not ever use them again.

After discovering unauthorized monthly charges on my debit card for just over a year, totalling around $360 (around $26.99/month CAD). I contacted Numerade to dispute the matter and I must admit I'm deeply disappointed with Numerade's handling of this matter.

To clarify, I had never even heard of Numerade prior to this discovery, let alone authorized any transactions. It's baffling how my card information and email were obtained without my consent, which raises serious concerns about the security of the platform.

Upon checking my emails, I have only ever received the monthly brochure-like emails and NEVER anything about a subscription.

Upon reaching out to Numerade to rectify this situation and request a refund, I received a response citing a failure to cancel my supposed free trial on time. This response not only disregards my genuine experience but also appears to be a standardized response, as evidenced by the numerous similar complaints I found in reviews.

After the initial generic message, I reached out again via email and have not received a response back.

It's perplexing to me that many of these reviews echo identical sentiments, yet Numerade fails to take responsibility for their own actions, instead shifting blame onto others and creating a false narrative of wrongdoing by everyone else

This experience is entirely unprecedented for me, and the fact that Numerade maintains a no refund policy and fails to take responsibility for unauthorized subscriptions and payments speaks volumes about the company's integrity.

Scammed me out of 60 bucks. Wouldn't recommend.

Update: Not surprisingly, Numerade never did anything about the situation. However, I disputed and reported the transactions as fraud to my bank, and was eventually issued a refund. Apart from the inconvenience of having to a issue a new card, totally recommend anyone dealing with unauthorised payments and lack of support from Numerade's side to raise the issue with their bank.

EDIT: As evident again in Numerade's response to my review, they ignore the part that I never subscribed or authorised a payment to their service. I didn't cancel the free trial as I never actually signed up myself.

I noticed that something didn't add up in my bank account and after looking into the issue further, I discovered a monthly charge on my debit card for 4 months by Numerade that was not authorized. Honestly, I had never even heard of Numerade and I have no clue how they got my email address and card info, which is very suspicious. I reached out to them to explain the situation and request a refund - obviously, they responded with the classic template saying I didn't cancel my free trial on time, clearly disregarding my actual experience. By checking the reviews, I realised more people have dealt with the same thing. Never before have I had such a problem. The fact that Numerade has a no refund policy and doesn't take responsibility when unauthorised subscriptions and payments are made tells a lot. Awful.

it's not a scam but i tried looking for an answer that was said to be wrong even though in this app it said it was the answer, they gave me a cancellation so its not as bad as people make it seem

I noticed a charge on my debit card in the amount of $29.99 by Numerade that was not authorized. As a matter of fact I've never even heard of Numerade so I'm not even sure how my personal information-( email address, DEBIT CARD INFORMATION) was even obtained. I need a full refund asap
