I have been very happy with the King sized bed I purchased almost 20 years ago from this company. Unfortunately, part of it was damaged recently but the rest of the bed was still as good as when I purchased it so I contacted customer support. The person I spoke to was really pleasant and helpful. I emailed photo's but due to a change in design a new part wasn't possible. He offered to provide me a new frame at an excellent price including delivery. This arrived in under a week and my bed is now perfect again.
So in my experience they provide an excellent product, long term support and faultless customer service.

After the customer service debacle the follow up from them was very good, and they arranged delivery for me, which to my surprise was an hour early. Couriers were in and out with the bed in no time, then came the fun of assembly. Everything was well packaged. My main complaint were that the instructions were a little rudimentary as I am no DIY expert a good guide helps. The bed did take a while to assemble and I would suggest a hex driver or your arm will fall off!
Anyway bed is up, looks really great very happy with the final product shame about the run up to the final delivery. On balance I would use them again.

Every time they are absolutely reliable in their delivery time . This time I couldnât work out the assembly instructions - you can call a number and talk to a person ! He sent me a video to help . Brilliant service . Worth every penny .

Stunning sturdy Ashley Bed in Pewter colours with Juno Wool mattress. Iâm very happy with the finish and quality of both items. Would have given more stars had it not been for a longer wait than stated on the website (8/10weeks) My delivery took 11 weeks. Having said that the actual bed and the mattress are of high quality. Iâm one very happy customer.

Stunning Beds 100% Reccomend
After sleeping on an airbed for nigh on 8mths (don't ask!!!), i was looking for my perfect bed & mattress.
I ordered a King Size Isabelle Bed Frame in White (because it was in stock n no way was i sleeping on the airbed another 12wks!!), & a Juno Cashmere Mattress on 4th January.
The delivery company messaged me & emailed to say it could be delivered on Mon 12th , i was not available so it was arranged for Tues 13th.
I was told my 3hr slot by the delivery company who then rung on the day to let me know they were 20mins away.
Wow , what can I say .
This bed is absolutely stunning .
It was packaged really carefully to ensure no damage . Instructions were really clear and this lass managed to put it together all by myself ð€£
Every part of it screwed together with ease , it is just the most stunning bed ever.
I must say i have slept like a baby on my oh so comfy mattress this week.
Its that comfortable I haven't wanted to get up.

OBC _ non delivery
I ordered a bed and paid in full 22.12.25 which was in stock and due to be delivered within 1-2 weeks. I'd not received any notification after the new year about delivery so called them 07.01. They said it had been sent to the courier 22.12 and I would receive notification from them directly. I called back the next day, 08.01 as I didn't feel satisfied with the answer I'd been given. The guy I spoke to said he would look into it and call me back which he did and confirmed the bed had not been sent out, it was still with them and would be sent out the next day which was Friday. I've call them again, 12.01 as not had a notification. The guy I spoke to, I suspect, was the same guy I spoke to 07.01, he was very uninterested and said, yes it's with the courier. He wasn't interested in anything I said, just spoke over me and said, the courier will be in touch with you.
If my order was confirmed as not sent out I would have asked to cancel my order, get a refund and go elsewhere.
This is the 3rd bed I've ordered from this company, didn't have an issue with either of the previous 2 orders and think the value for money is excellent but based on the fact that I haven't received my bed, havent had any communication from them since my order confirmation and I don't believe what I'm being told, I will not order from them again. I'm very disappointed and currently out of pocket. I need the bed!

1 star for the customer service who took the phone calls.
I haven't had a chance to look at the bed upclose myself as i gave it to my sister. But the customer service is really appalling. the guy who took the call was very rude, couldn't care less about the customer's enquiry.
The price for the bed has increased by £220 and also price increment in the mattress too atleast within a year.

Fabulous bed. Really comfortable and beautiful. Suits my cottage bedroom perfectly.
I wanted to replace my very lovely king size bed that I've had for many years and had been searching for months. I did not want a bed with a flimsy frame that required legs in the middle for support. Also I prefer a higher bed for ease of getting in and out so having the two height options was brilliant!
I live out of the way and have had problems with deliveries so I rang the company to check on their delivery service.
From first contact they were extremely helpful and reassuring and I ordered a small double Hamilton with a high foot end in ivory and brass with a Juno cotton medium mattress and it arrived quickly.
The delivery company was excellent with communication and the two men who brought the bed to my bedroom were very professional and pleasant.
The bed takes 2 people (or one clever, imaginative person) to assemble. There was a small issue with the thread on one poorly finished hole but a quick phoncall sorted that.
I've been sleeping in it for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it. It's excellent quality and looks beautiful in my cottage bedroom.
The whole experience was enjoyable and I can't recommend The Original Bed Company too highly.

My main criticism is the threaded holes arent tapped cleanly which means when you go to put the bolts back into the thread, you cannot put them all the way back in. So in my case, I now have two bolts not all the way in. So Iâm going to have to retap the holes myself to make right, which isnât acceptable. You need to start a quality check to ensure these holes are threaded correctly.

We ordered a new Super King and mattress, having recently moved in to a lovely house with a large bedroom.
The quality of build - both materials and workmanship - far exceeded our expectations. On top of that the mattress is exceptionally comfortable and the bed looks just amazing.

SUPERB MATTRESS-VERY COMFORTABLE
Ordered a Juno silk mattress. It came on time, well wrapped and pleasant delivery chaps. It is all we were hoping for. We got medium and it is firm without being over hard and supports wonderfully. I searched a long time to get a mattress that was natural. We can see this is very well made and I am more than happy to recommend. Worth every penny.
Ordered a king size Arran bed
Ordered a king size Arran bed. It took the full 10 weeks and is a stunning bed. Well worth the wait. A minor issue with one of the bolts not catching its thread, but other than that, with a bit of help was straightforward to assemble. Would have been 5 stars if it wasnât for the delivery. The bed came in a 67kg package, which the couriers struggled to get in the house, and in doing so cracked a number of Victorian hallway tiles. OBC were apologetic and have heard nothing from the courier. Not sure who is at fault here. Silly really packing it all in 1 box and the courier should have been more careful. Still waiting for a satisfactory response.
Beautiful quality bed frames and great customer service
I ordered a beautiful bed from The Original Bed Co just over a year ago and was immediately impressed by the quality and beauty of the frame. Some brass elements experienced some tarnishing due to my own wear and tear, and when I reached out to the company asking if I could purchase replacement parts they immediately offered to send them to me for free. Thanks so much to Jamyang for sorting everything out! I couldnât be happier.
Poor delivery experience let you down
It was all looking very good but our delivery experience was poor.
Our frame was delivered earlier than the time slot given by the delivery company, but the mattress was left on their van by your delivery drivers and driven back to the depot where it was later discovered, they called and delivery was promised two days later, this did not happen. A third delivery was promised, after waiting in a third time, there still was no delivery.
There were conflicting excuses, and we were sad that one delivery chap was hurt and hope he is better now. The office staff were very pleasant, helpful, and apologetic. I called them each time, and we received emails and texts. But for a week we had a bed with no mattress, and wondered if it existed at all, had it been stolen. Each time we received our three hour slot with strict rules about not changing the delivery or fines would be incurred. Your delivery guys arrived before the allotted time slot so it was lucky we were in. On your fourth attempt we got our mattress. We are very happy with our bed that eventually arrived and that cost us over £1,000 but I wouldnât buy another bed from you.

It appears I am not the first person to have problems with delivery from this company - I wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering.
First delivery attempt was to the wrong address. I missed the phone call but immediately called the delivery company back repeatedly for the next hour. I emailed, I WhatsAppâd, I attempted to contact the retailer all to no avail. When I finally did get a response from BJS (their âtrusted delivery teamâ) they tried to tell me they had come to the correct address. When I sent them CCTV evidence of them at my neighbours they immediately said it wasnât their van. When I zoomed in on the image they went silent.
I emailed BJS and The Original Bed company, and the retailer came back with apologies assuring me that they would redeliver that day or worst case the day after, no one got in touch - shocker.
I then two days later contacted OBC telling them I would now need to change the delivery address and that it would have to be there by Wednesday at the latest or I would be forced to cancel and they assured me it would be.
Delivery attempt number 2 was the same story that I keep reading in the reviews - the van turned up with no bed on it.
Again I contacted the retailer who said they were waiting to hear from BJS also.
24hrs later I have again contacted OBC demanding a refund, once again I have been told to be patient(!) as they were waiting to hear from BJS.
Now, 12hrs on I have been given a delivery slot for Friday from BJS despite the fact that I have already informed the retailer that it was urgent for today and that no one would be at the property AND asking for a refund.
OBC are clearly a scam company alongside their scam (and likely run by the same people) delivery company. Their phone lines always go to an extension phone number which is always an answer service and it is impossible to ever speak to the same person via email.

Juno wool mattress, king size, with Isabelle frame
I bought a king size Isabelle white satin iron bed frame and Juno wool mattress. Both items were in stock, as shown on their website. I ordered on 31/7/25, delivery without a hitch was 5/8/25.
My handymen placed the mattress base on the highest setting, which left extra room for storage boxes underneath, approx 37cm. There is a lower placement if preferred. That also means the footend is lower than the mattress.top, which I wanted as I am low on space so I didn't want it to make the room look more cluttered.
I was concerned that the medium mattress I ordered might be too firm because I am only 52 kilos and have fibromyalgia. However, it is really comfortable. My original reason for buying from the original bed company was that I despise memory foam because it feels soft but dips occur usually within a couple of months. I bought the wool version because I read that wool does not compress as quickly as some other materials, so it bounces back for longer.
I called OBC a few times before ordering and they were very helpful in answering my queries, so top marks for customer service as well as product.
Genuinely Great All Round
First off, the product I bought was great value and quality. But the real bonus was the customer service. Delivery guys were helpful and polite. I made a mistake on my order which they resolved, at their cost, despite my offer to pay for redelivery etc. Every interaction has been professional, they have always delivered on time and gone beyond expectations. I point out rubbish service when I get it so try and do the same for great service!
