Install date 5th June wanted to have a month of using solar equipment and getting used to its requirement for me to get the best out of my system.
Spend a bit of time researching what I could have and the expected saving for my outlay once I had all that I needed to researched companies and Ohms renewable Uk come out for service and price. I was impressed with the service from quote to proposal agreement then a home survey this is where Johnny answered all my questions from position of panels equipment wiring what I could expect from my system so paid deposit 25% and had install date as 5th June the day started with roofing team James and Allen they installed all the brackets in 2 positions on my roof 13 panels in total little while later the electrical team arrived Cameron Taylor Steve no messing about straight into work once progress was underway Cameron installed App to me and wife’s phones connected to my WiFi there was a slight delay as the wind got up when time to put panels on roof so team took a wee delay and waited for correct time everyone on the team all helped each other
were knowledgeable and very polite I was kept busy suppling tea and coffee and some lunch a great team require nourishment.
The system on a sunny day provides me with plenty of energy for the home and the batteries are an essential add on to help when sun shine is not so great.
My biggest usage appliance is my 10KW shower even with full sun and batteries you will have to depend on using Grid energy it too high a wattage.
My electrical bill for May was £201 the total from 5th June to 3rd July £67
I estimated if I could half my monthly electrical bill I would be happy currently I’m at 79% solar using for my home I have an EV charger for car and currently get 6 hours of off peak and I use this to charge my car and batteries which means I’m all ready on a full charge when the day starts.

example wife put a washing on timer every night dishwasher on timer every night using off peak rates
yes my house has perfect south facing so I should receive full efficiency of my panels.
Summary please do your research check what electricity usage you use now and in the future
is the prices going to go down like life No
once high very little chance of reducing and this was my reasoning behind going for investment and was lucky had some savings so as I near retirement I don’t want to £200 month electricity bills

If your considering an installer, Ohms are an excellent choice. Steve McMahon was excellent, not pushy and had the technical knowledge to answer all my questions which were many! The installation team were professional, friendly and completed the work to a high standard which was great to see and took real pride in their work.

Highly recommend if your looking for a first class installation.

Exactly what you would expect from a business: from start to finish the team was professional, courteous, and genuinely helpful. No hard sell — just solid advice supported by a site visit. Billy guided us through the purchase process and helped select a solar system that best suited our home’s needs, explaining everything clearly.

Nicole, the Ops Manager, kept us regularly updated throughout the installation planning.

The installation itself could not have been more seamless. On day one, the roofers — Ross and James — arrived to install the solar brackets. On day two, the electricians — David, Kian, and another electrician whose name I’m embarrassed to have forgotten — completed the electrical work. Every one of them was professional, attentive, respectful, and had a great attitude.

Their work was tidy and well thought out, with smart wiring routes and solar panel placement that provided excellent aesthetics and minimal disruption.

If you’re looking for the best, I can confidently endorse this great team.

I recently had a solar & battery system installed at my house by Ohms Renewables and couldn't be happier with the service provided. The initial assessment with Jonny was thorough and provided us with the best optimised system design for our needs. The installation itself was stress free with all works completed to an excellent standard. The system was fully up and running by the end of the day and we've been running our house fully off-grid in this sunny weather. Would highly recommend Ohms Renewables to anyone thinking of getting solar & battery installed at their home

Start to finish was a great experience, no hard sell salesman but an experienced tech who knew what he was talking about. Install team was great, very fast, polite and were able to answer any questions I had. Thank you !

The Ohms team were outstanding from initial enquiry to installation and commissioning. Steve managed initial point of contract and proposals and provided consistent communication and Nicole managed the operation providing me with updates every step of the way. The install team across heating, electrical and solar were brilliant from survey to commissioning, very personable, professional, and extremely hard working at is is clear they take pride in their work.
I am delighted with the end result (ASHP, Powerwall, Solar) and the level of service received throughout the process and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ohms.

The OHMS team communicated promptly, were totally professional and gave us a great price and service for a solar panel installation on the shed at our hotel.

After having a few quotes and people in doing surveys Steve McMahon stood out from the others right away , very professional answers all messages and emails , great communication.

Then the information / communication from Nicola in the office was 100% .

The roofers Jimmy and Alan different class hard working guys left a tidy install.

The electrical team Jonny the electrician and the two apprentices Taylor and Sam left a superb neat tidy installation.

From the initial contact I was kept upto speed with everything and this is all it takes and Ohms certainly stand out from the rest of the pack , communication is no1 .

As being a tradesperson and having had my own business I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ohms.

2 Weeks ago I had OHMs renewables - The Glasgow branch come out and install 26 450W panels along with 3 5KWh batteries and a 6KW inverter and a car charger. The lads arrived promptly in the morning. very clean install on the roof and within my garage where the batteries, inverter and new meters and fuse boxes where installed. They cleaned up everything afterwards.
One of the lads came in and spoke to me each step of the set up to show me how the app worked as the battery was installed then when the panels where installed.
I received my DNO and MCS certificate as well as welcome back about 6 working days later, I was told it would be up to 10 working days.
Also Steve the surveyor who had come out to design my system was very helpful, He had suggested a 6000KWh system, as my annual usage was roughly 4000 KWh, I asked for more battery storage and panels I ended up with a 8000KWh system.
Nicole from the office was also prompt in booking in the installation after I had agreed to go with OHMs.
Delighted overall I would recommend OHMs

I have used Ohms multiple times and been very happy with their work. Steve McMahon is exceptional at his job. Always responds to emails/texts and always strives for what is best for the customers personal situation. No hard sell for any products just assistance and knowledge to help you decide.

i Have just had Solar and PV fitted by OHMS, they have been and absolute pleasure to deal with. from start too finish i have been kept well informed of what is going on, any issues have been dealt with immediately. the guys doing the fitting were very nice too deal with and done a fantastic job, all the work was kept tidy, there have been a couple of teething issue with system but OHMS have been excellent in dealing with these. i cant praise them enough and hope they continue this attention to detail with future customers as this is the bench mark other company's should strive to be at.

I had the solar inverter battery installed this week. The installation was smooth and neat. Thanks specially to Steven who prepared the quote and helped with all the queries.

got 16 panels and 10kwh battery installed today by james & ross ( roofers) and taylor & callum ( electricians) cannot speak highly enough of not only the install but the workers too.. all 4 guys were pleasant, polite and treated my house respectfully they also made sure there was no mess at the end cleaning up as they went along the entire system was show how it works and asked if i had any questions was also told to give them a call if i have questions in future... cannot recommend the company or the guys highly enough from initial contact right thru has been flawless

Recently had a solar/battery system installed by Ohms.I was recommended Ohms by a friend and totally understand why.

The service from start to finish has been nothing short of 1st class especially from Steve. Very knowledgeable but also the level of genuinely caring not just making a sale! This has carried on through to the after sales care.

The prices were competitive but the service far out weighed saving a few quid elsewhere. An example of this was my roof tiles were found to be too thin, instead of just carrying out the roofer from ohms stopped the job took the time to explain the issue and that waiting an extra few days for upgraded tiles would be the right way to go for the integrity of the roof. I feel with some other companies I'd have had my system 2 days sooner with a roof leak!!!

From first contact with Scott and survey by Johnny , I found Ohms helpful and efficient, Install was completed in a couple of weeks , Arriving in their OHM's signed vans gave a professional look to the job rather than a load of rented van's on site. Callum and apprentice Sam did a good efficient job inside , while James and his buddy wasted no time to complete the roof work. All support contact with office Billy and Nicole was excellent and would have no hesitation in recommending.

From start to finish, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The entire installation was completed in just one day, and the team left everything clean, tidy, and extremely neat. You can tell they take real pride in their work.

A special mention has to go to Steve McMahon, who was absolutely class throughout the whole process. He was always available to help both before and after the installation, answered every question we had, and made everything straightforward and stress-free.

The office team have also been brilliant. Nicole in particular has been incredibly helpful, always responding quickly to emails and requests for information.

The installation team worked efficiently together and showed real respect for each other and our home throughout the day.

We are high energy users with a hot tub, so our electricity bills were previously around £220 per month. Since having the system installed, our electricity usage costs have dropped to less than £1 per day — with 66p of that being the standing charge. The system is powering the house all day, charging the batteries, and we’re now even earning money back through our Octopus feed-in tariff, anywhere between 30p and over £2.50 per day.

We chose:

- 20kWh EcoFlow battery system
- 6kW inverter
- EV charger
- Backup gateway for power cuts

The whole setup has given us real peace of mind and should protect us from future extortionate energy price rises.

I would highly recommend Ohms Renewables to anyone considering solar and battery installation.

The whole installation team were great from start to finish! Roofers - James and Ross, and Electricians - Callum, Ross and Taylor.
Arrived on time, from the very start everyone was busy - knew exactly what to do next they worked like a well oiled machine. Extremely professional. Every aspect of the solar and battery and supporting software was explained to me and Callum was happy to answer every question I put to him. Big emphasis also put on more support being a phone call away, any questions etc. The salesman Gordon was great - zero hard sell. Nicole - Operations Manager been very quick to give me all the information/documentation I needed. I can happily 100% recommend the company to anyone thinking of using them.

Great communication and informative staff, especially Steve. Prices were pretty competitive but the key factor for me was the hand holding , quality assurance
and feeling of going the extra mile which is vital on a big cash outlay with a lot of variables.
Installation team were hard working, focussed, clean workers and polite and were available for any queries on the day.
All in all, I have no qualms about recommending this company.
