The installation of the air source & boiler was done in a week, there was a lot of moving belongings about, lots of people coming and going, lots of big holes being drilled in walls, then new pipes to connect the new radiators but not thankfully under the floors or though the walls, a fair amount of mess but the guys cleared it up when they left, they had sticky plastic that covered the floors and carpets and stairs, so no mess left behind. The air source unit is huge and sits under the bathroom window, so not massively noticeable from inside, from outside you cant miss it, but hey ho overall its an improvement on the oil tank!! It can be noisy, the first few nights it seemed like the entire house was humming, then via the app the unit if now off from midnight to 8am, the noise is less noticeable though the day. The boiler takes up a lot more space vertically than the old oil boiler did and is not contained in a neat box like the old boiler, we've no idea how to conceal it, so find a spot in your house where the boiler and all the components inc the labyrinth of copper pipes, expansion cylinders and insulation can be hidden, you will appreciate that in the long run. Our boiler is in the lobby, we are still working out the best way to hide it!! Other than that everything was fine and dandy, the guys polite and courteous. One point to bear in mind, if you have wrought iron radiators like we did, and the guys need to take them out, get someone else to help with that task. They weight a ton and its not fair on their backs, having to lug from upstairs to outside. Once we realised how much they weighted the guys had already lugged them :( so just a tip to offer and give them a hand.

I am hugely grateful to Optama for the installation of radiators and solar panels to my house, also having my loft insulation updated, and all on Government funding, initially I thought it was too good to be true but I was wrong!
There was a certain amount of uncertainty regarding the starting date but when the tradesmen arrived they were quick and efficient, and did a brilliant clean up job of all the mess involved in removing old storage heaters and installing new ones, along with 3 extractorfans. The solar panel installation and connecting was straightforward with no inconvenience and the loft insulation was the same.
All in all I consider myself very fortunate to have had these improvements to my house which I wouldn't have been able to afford myself.

Good quotation friendly staff from sales to installer

I contracted Optama to upgrade my storage heaters after finding out I was eligible for funding through Home Energy Scotland. Their customer service was outstanding from start to finish. They acted promptly in arranging the quote, installation, waste removal, and post-installation EPC. They also supported me with all the documentation needed for my funding application. Leigh, in particular, was fantastic, her support and communication throughout the process were second to none. Overall, a wonderful service at a fair price. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Their communication was excellent. The scaffolding and installation arrangements happened as planned. The work was done in a day with no problems or mess. The installation team were very friendly and efficient, keeping us informed as the job progressed. Making savings already!

The installation of the new heating system was a major job. The whole team did a very professional job from beginning to end. Special mention to the two heating engineers who worked tirelessly for the two days. Overall we would recommend Optama to anybody looking to install a Solar heating system.

Easy communication and the guys were brilliant on the day of install. A very good level of professionalism all round. And I’ve not paid for any electricity since the install !! ( but we have had two weeks of glorious sunshine since installing 😬)

Right from the start Dave and Stevan where great They had a lot of crawling under floor boards to lay new pipes for new radiators. They never stopped were always happy to answer any questions we had. Air source pump was fitted without any problem . Solar panel company were very efficient again no problem.. They cleaned up after. We are very happy with the results. Thank you Optama

The whole process was so efficient, no mess at all , the chap who installed our extractor fans was so nice , and they were all very friendly and helpful.

Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient. Although there was a slight hitch with a faulty part, it was resolved as quickly as possible with the lady at head office continually checking in until the job was done to my satisfaction and the plumber coming in on his way home to put a temporary fix in so that any inconvenience was kept to a minimum. I have never experienced such a high standard of after care before - and always given with a smile and an 'it's no bother' attitude. MORE than satisfied with both the Job and the Service from everyone.

Your help, very efficient and easy process

Optama installed my ASHP 3 years ago, in febuary I contacted them to say the system was malfuctioning &was due a service this was about 2pm spoke to Leigh was very concerned. She contacted engineer for advice & arranged visit next day. engineer arrived before 11am sorted out the problem & did the service. Engineer was very knowledgable friendly & helpful. heating now working better than ever .Thanksto everyone at Optama.

All staff connected to my job, be it office or tradesmen were very professional and supportive of me throughout my experience.
The work was completed over two days putting in storage heaters and solar panels and all that goes with them.
I have mobility issues and was anxious about cleaning up a mess but the tradesmen left none, hoovering and clearing rubbish as the went. What a relief.
I had a slight issue with a heater and when I phoned about it, they were out in less than 24hrs - turned out I had misunderstood the instructions.
I would highly recommend OPTIMA to anyone, professional, supportive, and work to high standards. Thank you one and all with whom I interacted.

From start to finish I can't fault this company,from the first call with the girls in the office they were very helpful to the survey again lots of advice given to the trades coming to fit the new heating system and solar panels the plumbers were excellent also answering my questions as they carried out there work the electricians also were very helpful explaining what they were doing to the joiners all excellent trades men I would recommend them and to add Icing to the company even when an error code came up one call to the office and a plumber was out to fix it and the following day the girls from the office phoned to see everything was ok in my view and excellent company well done to all there staff
