Travelling with Marius Coetzee to the Omo Valley was my first experience with Oryx and it was terrific! Marius not only shared his photographic knowledge, but also his deep respect for the local people. I was inspired by his commitment to artistic creativity, as well as his ethical practices. I highly recommend travelling with Oryx and, I certainly will do so.

Amazing photo tours. I’ve travelled with them many times; individual as well as group trips, and it has been a fantastic experience every single times. Oryx combines unique, personalised itineraries to the world’s most stunning destinations, with the best photographic guides who help you get the images you are dreaming of!

I’ve been fortunate enough to have photographed with Oryx as my host on 4 or 5 separate occasions. There’s a good reason why I keep on going back - these guys n gals know what their doing! Professional, accommodating, adventurous, good fun and simply the best at what they do. If you want an amazing photographic adventure in far flung places then you won’t have better people looking after you than the Oryx team. It goes without saying that they are all a great talent with a camera in hand. As I write I am definitely thinking where and when my next Oryx adventure could be!

I’ve been fortunate enough to use ORYX on four separate occasions for trips to various countries. It’s relieving knowing they’re present throughout the entire process because it can become overwhelming quickly when encountering places you’ve never been, people you’ve never met, language barriers etc. They provide a peace of mind and security while also providing world class hospitality. They have carefully and purposefully selected the right staff and photo guides for their company all of which want your adventure to be nothing short of extraordinary.

My 4th tour with Oryx Photo Tours was as exceptional as the rest. We just returned from an amazing wildlife photo safari at Mala Mala Wildlife Reserve in South Africa with the talented Penny Robartes as tour leader. We were taken care of in true outstanding Oryx style, with amazing wildlife sightings and photography opportunities.

ORYX provides a first rate photo tour experience. From the planning stages to every detail of the tour itself we experienced the culture and the wildlife and came home with amazing photos. Marius is a joy to travel with and he gets you in the best places and helps you to capture the most stunning images. We traveled to India, taking in Delhi, Taj Mahal, Jaipur and the main attraction- tigers in Ranthambore National Park. Highly recommend ORYX!!

I have travelled with several tour companies but I have to say that Oryx is the best. Their attention to detail is first class and the organisation of our tours with Oryx has been faultless.
Marius is great fun and works tirelessly to make sure that you are in the right place at the right time to get great shots. It's not just Marius it's the whole team that work so well together and go out of their way to provide expert logistic support.
I would recommend travelling with Oryx as you will return home with an amazing portfolia of images as well as unforgetable experiences.

I traveled the first time with oryx and have to say that the word exellent is the right one.
everything was top organized and taken care off..,superbe.
kirsten frost was wonderful, not only a fantastic photographer!!..,as well he cared very much for the welfare of his clients!
I can say that I learned a lot from his photographic skills.
the camp, food/catering everything was an excellent experience,
the stuff there very, very attentive and lovely.
its definitely NOT the last time that I choose oryx and kirsten frost for more photography adventures.

Our India Photo Safari was our best Oryx Photo trip yet! Every aspect of the trip was well planned and filled with outstanding photographic opportunities. Then of course...Marius was a fantastic guide, photo mentor and fellow traveler. We had a terrific time together and shared phenomenal experiences.

My second trip with Oryx was as great as the first one.It was one of the most diverse and colorful holidays I‘ve ever had. And even though all that could go wrong went wrong, we as customers never noticed how much work was being done behind the scenes. Everything went smoothly which is short of a miracle in Madagascar (can’t blame Oryx for the Madagascar roads). Big thanks to our tour leader Dale who was a genius at finding us compositions and angles, and windows in the thick of the forest, which is quite hard with all the dappled light and branches and green stuff in the way. We came home with a colorful diverse portfolio of great photos and are more than happy !
