During a recent Visit to Chester (Chester 10K Runner) I popped into the Chester Outdoor and Country to treat myself to something after achieving a PB in the 10k earlier that morning, Lynn the lady who greeted as I walked into the store was very helpful by directing me to the Mens department which was upstairs in this particular store, after browsing and selecting an item I return downstairs to pay for my Item, Lynn noticed the Medal I saw sporting around my neck and enquired how I got on in the 10K, Lynn and I chatted for a while, she was genuinely interested in not only my purchase ensuring I had found everything I was looking for, but also in how my morning had gone out on the 10K, why can not more shop assistant's be as pleasant as Lynn, such a super happy and welcoming person. I have promised that I shall return to the store the next time I am in Chester - Hopefully a PB will be had in the upcoming Chester 1/2 Marathon which will result in another PB Purchase and I hope that Lynn will be on hand once again to help with my choice but more importantly to have that little natter with, See you soon Lynn

I made a mistake with the delivery address for my order of two Barbour dog jumpers. My mistake entirely, I sent an SOS email to outdoor and country immediately I realised what I had done within the following hour I received an email from the customer service team who had rectified my mistake and sent it to my Grandaughters address where it was meant to go.This is the second time I gave used this Company and it won’t be the last. Thank you again for your customer service which really does put the customer first!!

This company is a gem. Very honest. I returned a parcel to this company by mistake, they got in touch with me and returned the parcel back to me so that I could send it to the correct company. Im really impressed with them. Have ordered clothes from them too which most have been true to description. Delivery is good and returning is easy. Would absolutely recommend this company. If I was able to I would give them 6 out of 5.

Exceptional customer service and communication from this company. Rang to say the product had sold out in the size I ordered and suggested a different size, with knowledge of how the product fitted. Also advised the day I would receive it. It arrived on the day they said and the coat fit like they said it would - thank you

I have bought a number of items from the Chester store and also used it to collect items bought online. On every occasion the staff have been polite, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Joules is great fun whilst being very professional in dealing with my queries and requests despite me having a very boring name:)
I'm an advocate for shopping local and supporting the High Street so I'll be shopping in store in future rather than online.

Purchased a bag on 28/12/25 and was dispatched 30/12/25. I received an email from Royal Mail stating it would be delivered 31/12/25 between 11.15-1.15pm. Have check the tracking and it states still at sorting office. I spoke to Lauren in Customer Services on 5/1/26 who was going to raise an issue with Royal Mail. I was meant to receive a call today to confirm what is happening, but no one called me and still no bag.
Since writing my initial review Lauren has contacted me with updates and resent the bag which had been lost by Royal Mail. Lauren let me decide whether I had the bag sent by DPD or Royal Mail. Due to my previous experience I chose DPD. I have finally received the bag today. Thank you

Bought a few things now from this online store, delivered really quickly. No issues, had to return one item due to sizing and refund was done quickly and was given label for return. Will use again

On Boxing day I ordered a late christmas present for a family member, choosing to collect in store as it said there were 7 available. I ordered them, had emails saying the order was confirmed. When I went to store 2 days later (the store staff are very helpful) it's actually the product being despatched from a warehouse - not store pick up - very misleading and unclear process - as now this product is still not available 5 days after ordering and wouldve gone somewhere else

Speedy service - wasn’t expecting to receive my new boots until the New Year - but surprise, they turned up on Xmas Eve! Excellent!

Bought a jacket from Italy. Upon arrival courier BTR contacted me saying I had to pay additional 30% of the price in customs fees.
I buy online from the UK all the time, no one ever asks for custom fees, but Outdoor and Country seems to have a tricky way of doing business delivering to Europe, hiding fees...
Plus, it arrived 21 days after purchase!

Absolutely fantastic service from outdoor and country. Had to call them due to a delay in the postal system, got straight through to a fantastic gentleman called Jack who not only did all he could to push it along but also kept in contact to provide an update. Item arrived well packed and perfect condition, the same cannot be said for other retailers this Christmas. Highly recommend outdoor and country for anyone who values great service, thank you.

We rang regarding a faulty zip on a coat purchased over a year ago and agreed to return it by post, only one day later a brand new replacement arrived, excellent service and more than prompt, highly recommended.

I visited the Chester branch on Thurs 11th Dec. Lynn and Ell served me and I was very impressed with their knowledge of the products. They were both so helpful. I will definitely return. This is a great shop with lovely staff.
