You cant refund when you dont like the services

There's no option for a refund.
I bought a server with personal plan, then upgraded it to pro to get SSH access to the server, and then when I realized there's no root access, I wanted to refund my services since they were useless to me.
There was no option for a refund after not even an hour after buying them. And you have to buy the plan for the whole year, so if you don't like it you lost 1 year worth of money.

Support pretends it doesn't see tickets.

Once I have received it, I can analyze the ticket waiting to be processed, and restart the service concerned.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service, chat doesnt work server crashes more times than ive ever experienced, they have no respect for you as a paying customer... keep away from OVH, a terrible experience. really awful

Langsamer gehts nicht

Am 02. April 2024 eine Domain bestellt und diese ist bis heute nicht registriert. Ganz schwach.
Warte noch bis Montag, sonst hole ich mir das Geld von Paypal zurück.
Sowieso eine komische Konstellation. Telefonnummer von Saarbrücken, Firmesitz in Köln, Gruppe hat Sitz in Frankreich und hier wird nur auf Englisch geantwortet.

Not great, but not too bad

A rather problematic provider in terms of positioning DDoS protection. They clearly allocate to dedicated servers an overselled network. But in any case, the servers are quite stable and the ping is acceptable. Sometimes there are unknown problems with ping and it's 100% on the side of OVH. Support is quite slow.

Good documentation, flexible configuration of the dedicated server are obvious pluses for me. But it would be good to finally move to the standard of minimal 1Gbit network at all dedicated servers, as for me in the field of dedicated servers it should happen long time ago! And I would be happy to see 10Gbit servers at an adequate price.

The firewall is unfortunately disappointing, namely the limit of 20 rules. This is not enough when you really want to secure a large machine, also in the firewall you can not use port ranges for example (8000-8050).

DDoS protection is available, but it works strangely. Frequent throttling of pure traffic during a big attack, and you have to wait for a minute and a half for the connection to resume. Also TCP protection is obviously very weak, my router is often attacked, and 200k-350k TCP connections in a couple of seconds does not embarrass the traffic cleaning system of the OVH.

At the moment it is a solid three out of five, because of the problems above, and the lack of a competitor.

Widerruf wird ignoriert, keine Zahlungsaufforderung - Inkasso.

Ich habe der vor eingestellten automatischen Verlängerung meines Vertrages fristgerecht widersprochen und mehrfach nachgefragt wie der Stand ist.
Laut AGB der Vertragsverlängerung:

"Sie haben das Recht, binnen vierzehn Tagen ohne Angabe von Gründen diesen Vertrag zu widerrufen.
Die Widerrufsfrist beträgt vierzehn Tage ab dem Tag des Vertragsabschlusses."

Auf meine Mails wurde nicht geantwortet, stattdessen hat man mir nach einem Jahr! erst gedroht und dann kam eine Mail eines Inkasso Unternehmens. Angeblich hätte man mir einen Brief gesendet, welchen ich nie erhalten habe.

Das ist so in meinen Augen nicht zulässig.

In den AGB steht nirgends, dass bei Verlängerung kein Kündigungsrecht vorhanden ist.
Stattdessen steht in den AGB - die mir im Übrigen zum Datum der Verlängerung auch hinterlegt wurden - genau das:

Widerrufsrecht
Sie haben das Recht, binnen vierzehn Tagen ohne Angabe von Gründen diesen Vertrag zu widerrufen.

Was ich getan habe, schreiben Sie ja sogar selbst.

Das dem nicht so ist hätte man auf meine e-Mail auch antworten können.

Man stellt mir nun noch zusätzlich eine Rechnung mit dem Abrechnungsgrund "legal compensation" - sprich Ersatzansprüche / Schadenersatz.

After analyzing your tickets, I see that you made your request on the day of renewal of your services.
The cancellation of the renewal of services must be carried out in your customer area before the scheduled due date.

Regarding the right of withdrawal, this only applies to an order. Cancellation does not apply to renewals.

I am sorry about the situation. In this specific case, the issued invoice remains due. You can nevertheless create a complaint ticket from your customer area, in order to explain the situation.

I would like to point out that my objective is not to point out anyone at fault.
My analysis consists of providing you with an answer relating to your right of withdrawal.

The right of withdrawal applies only to individuals and applies only to new orders. You cannot therefore argue:
- for renewals;
- if your OVHcloud customer account is different from Private.
