Jiu-Jitsu Republic Oxford is a Brazilian jiu jitsu academy in the heart of Oxford city centre. This martial art relies on technique , chokes and holds, which makes it ideal for anyone who has never trained before, but would like to build strength, feel more confident, improve their fitness levels and learn some self-defense. Our team consists of two coaches - Lee and Joe who teach all the classes and a great community of students. Whether this is something you'd like to do full-time or just come to an occasional session you are welcome here. We currently have five women on the team and we all train together making sure that we adjust our fighting style to the size of our opponent (we need to make sure the guys are safe fighting our warrior women). We are open to visitors, so if you're just passing through Oxford you're welcome to train with us regardless of your affiliation. The first class is free and there's no equipment required for the trial. Come and give it a try! We want you to enjoy your session, so if at any point you feel like it's too much you're welcome to watch the rest of the class instead.

Fantastic gym,incredibly welcoming. There’s a diverse group of training partners, from beginners to experienced belts, which creates a friendly, ego-free environment. Classes are well-paced and focused on technical details, making it a great place for all levels.
BJJ republic is an excellent Jiu jitsu club and I really like training here. The instructors Lee and Joe make sure that all their students have a great time and get the most out of the session. People of all ages, sexes and backgrounds train together and create a friendly and welcoming team. Id recommend this academy to anyone looking for great Jiu jitsu in Oxford!
