Oxford Home Schooling レビュー 

Our daughter is the last of our 4 children, 3 of which have completed their igcse's through Oxford Open Learning. We have been really pleased with the quality of all the tutors our children have had. The Maths tutor who is currently teaching our daughter has been particularly diligent, helpful, and is always willing and on-hand to answer questions or problems that she is struggling with. After almost 10 years with Oxford, it will be odd to be leaving this stage of our lives behind. We would sincerely like to thank you for the quality, professionalism and attentive guidance that your tutors having given to our children - thank you!

We are delighted with the support from the Oxford Home School Office. Every question and query is very swiftly answered. Courtney has given us excellent support and help throughout the past two years of the gcse course. We cannot recommend OHS enough. Our tutors have been absolutely excellent, the course materials arrived very quickly, soon followed tutor calls and we have been very satisfied with the courses. You have to do the work but the work certainly pays off. The tutors give excellent support and encouragement. We soon realised we had made a very good decision choosing to study with OHS. We will sign up for out next courses with OHS again next year.

Oxford Home Schooling is effective if your child is self motivated and well organised. The work requirements are clear and work is marked regularly. My child gained a Grade C at A Level which I consider a fair grade as their 4th A Level. Where I would say the system is weak is that I didn't always feel there was a lot of actual teaching. Children are set work, do the work, get a mark with some limited feedback and move on to the next task. They have to teach themselves the curriculum. Their tutor is in contact regularly but is simply checking the work already done. If a student doesnt understand something or get stuck, my impression was that there's not a lot of help available. I would also flag that some language teachers are not native speakers however I don't think that impacted my childs final grade. To sum up, Oxford Home Schooling achieved what my daughter needed, at a price I could afford but, particularly for Modern Language qualifications, I would recommend supplementary tuition to support spoken language skills and offer extra support. I would also advise Modern Language candidates to check in advance which books/ media the tutor will be covering. Most exam boards offer a choice of foreign language books and films for the A level curriculum however Oxford Home Schooling only offered to cover 2 books of their choice (probably because it is easier to teach 2 books via online learning rather than a book and a film) For my child the second book was fairly heavy and I knew they would find the film an easier option. We opted to have a private tutor to cover the film option rather than OHS's choice for the second book, but this was an added expense. I would add that the tutor communicated well and the back-office administration team always seemed well organised and easy to talk to.

I would recommend to all Homeschoolers' parents to join oxford homeschool for the best results. I am very satisfied with the teachers support and the course materials, and my children are getting very good results with oxford homeschooling.

Esther 14, started studying for a GCSE in psychology during lockdown. She really enjoyed the course and got a Grade 8 after less than one year's study.

I would say the only thing I would improve is the teacher/student contact procedure.
As I understand it, if a teacher hasn't heard from a student after a certain period then their phone calls stop. This I don't think is very productive! In situations where a student is overwhelmed with their GCSE'S then they simply will not reach out for help. With the current procedure the student will fall behind and by the time an intervention is made it can be too late.
For the kind of money that is spent for these GCSE'S, I would want a teacher to phone a student at least 2 weeks before a TMA deadline to check the student's comprehension and then working through those weakness! Every single TMA!
Thus forming a strong teacher/student relationship!!!
This can absolutely be done because my daughter had an amazing English teacher that did exactly this!!!
My daughter couldn't hide anywhere, she knew that that phone call was coming and that she had to have something for her teacher. The teachers that didn't call her simply didn't get their TMA on time. Teachers need to form a relationship with the students not just emails!
Apart from that, everyone that I had to deal with were all very helpful and easy to talk to and I would definitely use Oxford Open Learning again!

My daughter has successfully taken several GCSEs last summer with Oxford Home Schooling (we were guided well through the difficulty of covid disruption by her excellent tutors) and has chosen to stay with them for her A levels, because she likes the comprehensive and easy to use course folders and the good tutor support. Really positive experience for both of us on the whole, despite the pandemic. Thank you!

We decided to EHE our daughter while she was in year 8 and she studied with Oxford Home Schooling during Year 9 and then for IGCSE's in year 10 and 11. Oxford certainly worked for our family; it gave us the flexibility of home education with some structure, an easy to follow course and access to excellent tutors. Having a paper copy of the syllabus meant we did not need to use a computer all the time and could easily study away from home. The tutors were friendly, approachable and responded quickly when contacted for support. Nothing was a 'silly' question and explanations were never rushed. Their regular contact helped keep us on track but our daughter definitely set the pace and felt in control of her learning. We formed such good relationships that we chose to stay with many tutors from year 9 to IGCSE which was really helpful. Oxford supported us with finding an exam center and the subsequent changes due to covid restrictions. Our daughter passed the IGCSE's she took with excellent grades and has since gone to college to continue her studies. We would all recommend studying with OOL.

OOL is the most organized, comprehensive educational solution I've found. They're helpful and super-supportive.

Oxford Homeschooling filled the gap with needs students who feel unhappy in some main stream schools. It is also a solution for parents who are concern with their children being bullied in their school.
From the time when my son started up to now, I have recommended a number of parents and given them the contact details of the school.

I purchased two Year 8 courses from Oxford Home Schooling for my son while we were relocating from Hong Kong to the UK and he was out of school for a while. I really liked the simplicity of the approach and the flexibility to progress through the materials at your own pace. The tutors were both very friendly experienced ex-schoolteachers, and it was great to have them on hand for any questions (but not chasing us up or applying any extra pressure). I did find that I needed to be quite involved in going through the materials and questions with my son, but I'm sure that would vary quite a bit according to the individual child. Overall, the materials were clear and well-thought-out, although there were a few errors and some of the links to videos didn't work. I'd recommend Oxford Home Schooling to others seeking a structured but highly flexible programme for homeschooling.

From beginning to end i can’t recommend Oxford home learning enough if you are looking at studying from home. I have used for 2 of my children to take their GCSEs . One a few years ago and one of them during the pandemic and a very stressful time for students. We were kept informed and guided very well by a strong and consistent team of admin/student advisers who were always available ,helpful and friendly . The tutors are wonderful and patient with different needs of the student .They were a lifeline for my daughter in both her learning and also in their positive spirits spurring her on .The tutors clearly love their chosen subjects and inspiring their students . We are very glad we chose this particular group for value for money/service and great results . Most importantly I recommend them for the quality of their tutors.

Very good support overall. We are abroad and some of the telephone calls were a bit problematic technically (call not being received although the tutor then confirmed that they called, bad sound etc.), but managed to catch up on everything essential. Please with the support and result.

An excellent homeschool option. Great program, fast teacher response.

My daughter took History IGCSE through Oxford Open and we found the service and process very smooth.
Her tutor Steve was very helpful and we had regular contact with him throughout.
Despite exams been cancelled she got a 9 due to doing very well in the regular marked assessments.

I have always had positive experiences and interactions with Oxford Home Learning. They always answer any questions and concerns and you can reach someone very quickly. Their course content is spot on and the tutors are experienced and helpful. They really did an outstanding job during the exam period last year in grading students and really gave excellent feedback.

Good course materials, excellent tutor support, and three happy teenage children.

My daughter did sociology, psychology and English language GCSE in yr 8 and 9 and she did very well, her tutors were very supportive and gave lots of feedback, I wish I could have carried on with OOL but because of my health I had to put her down for school.
However we thoroughly enjoyed the journey and would definitely recommend.
