Love my dome!
Pacific Domes is a great company and they have an amazing product. I would not buy a dome anywhere else. I am extremely impressed with the quality and engineering of the dome. Their staff is also super nice and helpful. Andrew, my sales person, has answered all my questions throughout the process from order through construction. Which brings me to my one criticism: I had a LOT of questions--because their manual is outdated and incomplete.
I am not a carpenter and building a dome is an exacting process. There are tricks to getting it right from the start that will save much time and frustration later, but the manual does not reveal these tricks, such as calculating everything precisely from the center. So be ready to think each step of the process through carefully, or hire a pro. That said, if you do think it through, it is gratifying to build it yourself. If you do your math, it will miraculously turn out right. I have to say, I'm in awe of the engineering behind the dome kits, because their math is impeccable.
One other thing: I'm in the Puget Sound area. We have lots of moisture in the air. It's winter right now, which is cool and wet, and I'm noticing a lot of condensation in the dome at night. This is not Pacific Domes' problem; it's nature. I'm going to install a dehumidifier and hopefully that will help. Even so, the dome is classy and beautiful, and I can't wait to start using it. Pretty sure the condensation issue will diminish as the weather warms.
Finally, I've also had a yurt, which I liked, but I prefer the cool aesthetics of the dome.
Review update: It's now nearing the end of February. Once I got the subfloor in, all condensation ceased. Really! I am not sure of the science behind it, but there's not been a drop of condensation since the subfloor went in. Just wanted to set the record straight on that. I have a moisture barrier under the subfloor, but that did not stop the condensation. It was the subfloor itself that did it.

The website is so informative
The website is so informative. It helped me dream of putting up a Dome. Purchase of the dome was generally good. My contact at Pacific Domes was very friendly and personable but at times she was unable to give me information regarding whether or not my payment was received, progress of the manufacture of it, etc. It is clear to me that Pacific Domes is in an expansion mode and is experiencing growing pains. They need to improve their internal communications. I can't speak to quality yet as I have barely opened the crates. They certainly were packed with care. Shipping was flawless. The dome was delivered 2 months early which is good but I'll have to wait until I get back from a trip before I can put it up. I'm so excited about doing so and several of my friends have volunteered to help without my asking. Thank you to Pacific Domes for making my dream come true!

Last summer I spoke with the guy in Ashland and we discussed the options for the dome I wanted and I worked with him to get a discount for the engineering, and the packages arrived and I am looking forward to building the dome this summer!

Lack of Communication
The lack of communication from Pacific Domes was extremely frustrating. I had to wait for the FedEx notification to know when things were going to be shipped. I sent multiple emails that went unanswered. Parts of my shipment arrived 2 months after the initial shipment with no communication that I was still awaiting pieces, I had to email and ask if everything was shipped. On the whole I am very disappointed in the customer service for a product that I spent thousands on.

Andrew was my sales contact person and he was great at communicating along the way. I always got a reply to my emails and call backs to voicemails.
No surprise that there were delays in production due to supply chain and labor issues but I have my dome now. The dome was shipped and arrived and beautifully packed in two 4’x4x’4’ boxes and two pallets. The quality of the dome looks amazing. We plan to build the dome in spring 2023 so more to report then. But for now I would not hesitate to work with Pacific Domes again!

Quality product, perfect for so many uses
We were looking for a quality product that we could use at some property we have that could be used as a tiny home of sorts. Pacific Domes met and exceeded our needs with size, quality, and functionality. Installation was pretty easy and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. We bought the 12’ tall dome. I would recommend their products and we may purchase another one for a different location.
